SHIELD Helicarrier....

Several figures sat within a huge office, with several frowns on their faces.

"I can't believe we lost so badly." Clint was the first person to speak out, his expression solemn, as he rubbed his nape. He didn't know what Duke had done to him, but ever since then, the skin around his nape hurt like hell.

"And now we find out that he wasn't even the culprit and person who has the Tesseract is actually some wanna be dressed in robes." Stark spoke, his expression downcast, as he munched in a doughnut.

"So we got our asses kicked for nothing?" Natasha chimed in, as she looked at Fury who was seated with his usual stoic expression.

"Sigh. we couldn't even track his movements, neither could we hit him not take a hit from him. I've never seen anything like him before." Cap spoke with his teeth clenched, he was still recovering from that last attack from Duke.

"According to Jarvis, he's not human, and his mutant gene is recessive..." Tony Stark wiped his hands and said. "So he's an alien?" "Who's Jarvis?" Cap and Clint asked at the same time, as Stark stood up and pressed a small remote in his hands, before a large screen materialized in the air before them.

"This is what his DNA looks like, but the DNA of normal people like us and the DNA of mutants look like this." Stark said, as he projected three images on the screen.

"Wait, So he's a mutant, a human and something else?" Fury asked after observing for a bit. "And whats with the dark gooey liquid on the chromosome?" Natasha asked with a frown.

"If my speculations are correct, then that should be dark matter, from the particle accelerator you co created Mr. Stark.." Suddenly, they heard a voice and turned around only to see slightly middle aged man in a purple shirt and brown pants walking towards them, as he adjusted his glasses.

"And who are you?" Tony asked, as the others looked on. "My name is Dr. Bruce Banner, is some of you may know me as the big green monster known as Hulk.." He flashed a small smile.

"I brought Dr. Banner here to hell with deal with the threats we're facing now." Fury chimed in and said.

"And how do you know that Mr. Banner?" Tony asked as he pointed at that screen.

"Because his chromosomes have been infused with the dark matter, just like my cells have been infused with gamma rays. But it's different in his case, because the dark matter acts as a catalyst, which allows him to draw power from the Speed Force." Banner added as he walked to the screen.

"Speed Force? " "What the hell is that?" The rest of the team looked on in confusion, as Banner continued. "The speed force is a cosmic multiversal Force, which represents the concept of motion and momentum. It is the very Force that pushes space, time and reality forward." He explained as the others, especially Tony frowned.

"Cosmic force?" Tony took a seat, as he pondered on the words of Banner. "So he's like the God of speed or something?" Natasha asked. "From what I've seen, his current maximum speed is around Mach 3.8, which shows he's just a beginner and hasn't really bonded with the speedforce." Bruce continued.

"What happens if he fully bonds with the Speed Force?" Stark asked, and raised an eyebrow. "At that point, it isn't an overestimation to say he will become a literal God. Time travel, multiversal travel, at that point, the impossible would become possible for him." He explained.

"So how do we stop him?" Cap who was unusually quiet suddenly asked.

"The thing is, we can't. Not for now at least." Bruce and Tony heaved a sigh. "In order to fully stop him, we'll need to cut off his link with the Speed Force, by removing the dark matter within his cells, which is an impossible feat for now." He added.

"So we just allow him to run around then?" Cap asked as he sat rubbed his temples.

"At least we can get him on our side. Just imagine what we could do Ian's the heights we could reach scientifically, if we could you know, research... uhhh with his help of course." Tony said with an awkward chuckle.

"Well we tried, I tried. But it didn't work." Natasha shook her head.

"At least we got Dr. Banner on our side in case things go dire with him, but for now, we have a bigger problem. The Tesseract is currently with Loki, an alien who claims to be from Asgard. My sources say that he's arrived in New York City, with his followers who seem to be mind controlled by him."

Fury said and took out a case file. "Barton, I want you on the mission with Romanoff. Your mission is to reclaim the Tesseract and bring it back to SHIELD HQ ASAP." Fury said and walked off.

"Sigh. No one else gets homework." Clint sighed, as he picked up his bow and walked off.

"Dr. Banner, what do you think Loki's planning with the Tesseract?" Fury stayed back with Banner and asked him with a frown.
