[6 years later]

{Garden of Eden}

[Adam POV]

These past few years have been the best time of my life. During this time I've been able to explore the entire island, and it's beautiful. The island is definitely magical in nature, even with it just being a large forest, with the occasional open areas, I've seen all types of animals that shouldn't be able to survive in this environment.

And on the topic of animals, turns out I can communicate with them, it isn't like they speak words to me, it's more like I just understand what they're trying to say. And apparently, all animals have an instinctual feeling of love towards me (not like you're thinking degenerate). Like a son loves a father, and because of this they listen to my words and try and gain my affection and attention, it's cute watching them try so hard.

Anyways, my relationship with Eve developed and we are officially husband and wife. It was the best day of my life so far. All the animals had gathered round, with me and Eve under a large tree. If you're wondering how that's possible when there's no one to officiate or rings to use, well then I've got the answers that you seek. You see after me and Eve decided to get married, Stan just showed up gave us rings and officiated the whole thing. He's a really nice guy, and according to him, his omnipotent power comes from love, so it kinda makes sense as to why he's so nice. (pic of rings)

After the wedding, I and Eve had a little honeymoon on the beach of the island, where I built us a little cabin to stay in. It was a fun time, we played in the ocean and relaxed on the sand and when night came we wrestled in bed if you get what I mean( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). This lasted for around a year, and around halfway through that year, Eve got pregnant.

To say I was excited would be an understatement. She told me when I was walking with her down the beach that I may or may not have created two separate beaches by accidentally stepping too hard. Afterwards though when I had calmed down, to say I was protective wouldn't be correct as I knew nothing would hurt her, but even then I didn't let her leave my side and that has led to the situation I'm in right now.

Eve was laid down on the bed in our beach cabin, legs apart and screaming at the top of her lungs. My hand, which was currently being crushed, wasn't enjoying this situation and when I tried to ask her to ease up on the strength, the glare I would receive told me enough to not ask that again.

"Come on love, I know you can do it. Just a little more and you'll be able to hold our child in your arms, so push for just a bit longer." As the wonderful man I was, I tried to be encouraging and soothe her with my words. It didn't work.

"Adam, darling. I love you, BUT YOU NEED TO SHUT UP!!! IF YOU'RE GONNA STAND THERE AND TRY AND SOOTHE ME, YOU SHOULD JUST STAY QUIET AND LET ME OFFLOAD SOME OF MY PAIN ONTO YOUR HAND!!!" Sufficed to say, I willingly complied. For an angry wife is a scary wife, no matter how strong you may be. And nobody wants an angry wife. As the saying goes, a happy wife, a happy life.

After copious amounts of screaming, and what felt like one broken hand later, Eve finally managed to push out the baby. And he was beautiful in my extremely biased opinion. with round, chubby cheeks, smooth almost porcelain skin, a small tuft of golden blond hair on his head and crystal blue eyes that looked like the ocean, with its enchanting mysteries waiting to be solved.

"WAAAAAAAAAA!!!! WAAAAAA!!!!" And there it is, I was waiting for that. Taking the child in my arms, I tried to soothe him by rocking him gently and whispering reassurances in his ear. It worked to a degree, he was still crying, just not to the point where my ears were screaming for mercy.

"Adam, can you hand me our son. I want to see him." Handing him to Eve, I waited by her, watching as she held and looked at their first child. When he saw her he stopped crying and started waving his little hands at her and giggling to himself.

"Well, seems like someone likes their mother, better than their father" Upon hearing this, I huffed and responded in a very mature fashion.

"*hum* It's just because he can't appreciate the greatness that is Adam, in all of his mighty glory. When he grows up he'll learn of my amazing jokes and figure out that I am the most fun parent he'll ever know." I was not mature. And the death glare Eve sent me, told me enough so I promptly closed my mouth and let her enjoy the moment. And after talking with our newborn for a few minutes she asked a very good question.

"What should we call him?" I thought about this for a while until I remembered the sons of Adam and Eve, and it just felt right, so I decided to suggest Cain. I know not very creative, but it fits and I personally think it's a very cool name, along with Abel.

After suggesting the name, Eve contemplated it for a minute and agreed that it sounded like a good name. And so our son Cain was brought into this world, and the first few months after his birth were some of the most hellish days of my life. But after a while you get used to all the screaming, shitting and crying in the middle of the night.

And like that, 2 years went by. Cain had grown healthily and finally started to appreciate the awesomeness that is his father. When he started to walk at the age of 6 months old and looked like he was older than he should be, I and Eve figured it was because of the both of us not exactly being normal humans, so when we had Cain he wasn't exactly a normal human. I mean he was still human, just better in pretty much every way possible. stronger, faster, smarter (learned to fully talk at the age of 1 and a half years old) and matured a lot faster too, 'cause at the age of two he looked like he was 4 years old. We assume that by the time he's 12, he'll fully mature and his ageing will slow down by a large margin, as two ageless beings having a child would probably mean that child's either going to stop ageing at maturity or he's going to age really, really slowly. Our estimations predict that he will live for at least 2000 years minimum.

That's good, 'cause that means I and Eve get to spend more time with our children. However, we assume that if our children ever have children of their own, then they will have this same gift but to a lesser degree as mine and Eve's blood is more diluted in them.

"Adam, can you stop daydreaming and focus on our date." Adam's thoughts were interrupted by Eve, who was trying to make a cross face, but failed miserably as it was just too cute. Lesser men may have died from a cuteness overload, but I'm made of tougher stuff.

"Sorry, I was just thinking about Cain, and how he's growing too fast. At this rate, I won't be able to enjoy his younger years and get material to embarrass him with for the rest of his life." When Eve heard this, her face softened, thinking of her son, she had to agree with Adam. Although she enjoyed the time she will get with Cain as a child, she wished it could be longer than the amount of time she had.

Currently, I was enjoying some alone time with Eve in a clearing in the forest. We left Cain in the care of some of the wolves he had befriended, must have got that from me. Anyway, I and Eve were having a lovely picnic, with food she had made and by Stan's great moustache could she cook.

It was like she was from Shokugeki no Soma or something, I'm most certainly not complaining 'cause that just meant I had something I had to look forward to every time it was time to eat.

"Well, this is our time alone. We don't get that very often anymore so I would appreciate it if you could focus on the picnic." Nodding my head, I went back to eating some of the food and making idle conversation, which eventually led to some flirting, which then led to some spicy time.

And a month after that delightful picnic, we figured out that Eve was having another child. And as I was expecting this someday, I made sure to ingrain how to be a good big brother into Cain and made sure he knew that because we needed to pay attention to his new brother/sister didn't mean we loved him any less and did it to avoid them from hurting themself and because we loved them both equally and showing one of them more love than the other wouldn't be fair. Don't need another Cain and Able situation, so I nipped that in the bud before it became an issue.

Like that time passed and our second son was born, Abel. He was just like Cain just more timid and shy. Cain luckily, took his big brother role very seriously and made sure to protect Able at all times and always help him when he could. Cain was more like me with how he acted meaning we bonded and I became his official favourite, his words not mine. While Abel was more like Eve, enjoying gardening with her and it was safe to say that Eve was his favourite.

But that didn't mean we didn't get along, we all got along fine and were a perfect family in my biased opinion. Abel shared more of his softer with his mother as he grew older as well, but that didn't take away from his masculine beauty, whilst Cain inherited more of my sharper characteristics as he grew older.

And before I knew it 20 years passed and the kids had grown up, they still lived with me and Eve, why wouldn't they, but they did their own stuff now and branched away from the things we did, and discovered what they enjoyed and leaned into that. Cain still enjoyed resting with me and the animals every now and again, but he mainly just chopped trees and made things for the animals out of the wood he would gather by doing so. And Abel liked to gaze at the stars and think of ways to improve what we had and wanted to one day reach and explore space, putting it simply he was an astrophysicist and engineer in their basic forms but he was getting better and better as time passed.

We were already centuries ahead of the humans in this age and that gap would just continue to grow as he improved, he was the definition of a genius. He already started mining coal and iron with the help of physiology it wasn't hard and started making tools to help us with our hobbies, an axe for Cain (previously just using his raw strength equivalent to an Asgardian warrior or at least I assume so, Haven't really met them to gauge their strength), Gauntlets for me because I use my hands for everything (They broke every time I used them but it's the thought that counts), a hoe for Eve to help her gardening and he built lots of equipment with his experiments/research and blacksmithing.

Things stayed like this, with Abel coming up with more and more stuff to help in our life, for about 400 years, our technology was now similar to the 1980s, and I was loving every second of it, everyone was as it was just so much more comfortable. We didn't have any type of transportation as we could do anything they could do but better with our strength, and tried to blend the tech with the environment to not ruin its beauty and used solar energy as our main source of energy to limit pollution, which was basically zero with how efficient with everything used and made sure that if something was too dangerous for the environment we wouldn't use it.

But all good things must come to an end, and that came in the form of a girl with a very crude form of cloth wrapped around her breasts and privates, washing up on the island. And to say I was shocked when a bird came up and told me this was an understatement, as no one had ever come to the island in 400 years, be it washing up somehow or arriving on a crude form of raft, so this was very unexpected.

When I arrived at her location, I was greeted by the sight of a young black woman, around the age of 20 if I had to guess, splayed out along the sand with waves of water splashing against her figure. As I was assessing the situation and what I should do, I saw her waking from her sleep, and when she started looking around her eyes settled on me. She seemed confused when looking at me, and if I had to guess it would be because, based on the time humanity has been around, she has only ever seen people like her, so seeing me after waking up must be a shock to her. Before I could ask if she was okay, she talked.

"Who and what are you" Well ain't that a way to greet someone, anyway seeming as she's so shocked I'll ease her into this slowly. Also seems like I can understand, every language 'cause I'm pretty sure that wasn't english. Cool I'm a walking translator, the more you know.

"My name is Adam, the first human and father of humanity." I'm going to assume that my speech was translated to her because she seems to have understood, but is now looking at me like I'm crazy. This is going amazingly.

Sorry for the late chapter, it was my mum's birthday today so I couldn't write as much as I wanted and decided to give you a warning. I am very lazy and writing for me takes time as I'm not that good at thinking of what to write when it comes down to it. Take that and add college into the mix and you can see that writing is quite hard for me.

But I power through, as I enjoy doing this and want to give anyone who reads my story the best experience I can, though if you can point out any mistakes I make, I'll do my best to fix them.

And if you have any ideas that could make the story better leave a comment and I'll read it at some point and tell you whether or not I like the idea or not, I can't guarantee that I'll read all of them and even if I like an idea I may not implement it, but I'll do my best. Thank you for the encouragement and I hope I can give you all a good story to read.

Yours sincerely, The_Slumbering_One
