CHAPTER 11:CONFROTATION

LAURA POV

"Are you sure it is him, Laura?" Spider-Girl asks me for the third or fourth time as I know she is probably in disbelief hearing her mentor, Peter Parker is still alive despite none of us see his corpse or did not hear his well being for these past weeks.

"I am very sure. And like you, I am very close with him." I replied while we are all in hero costume.

"Let's just hope this guy is the real deal," Victor said.

"Are you sure it is wise to not tell the Avengers, X-Men or at least Fantastic Four?" Ava voiced out.

"Nah. Do not worry about it. If things go south, I will be ready to call them." Hisako said until a figure landed behind is surprising is even me, though I am more focused on tracking Peter's scent.

"Sup." Negasonic Teenage Warhead greeted us as Hisako is happy seeing one of her friends is here.

"Huh. At least we have added one more people if we get scolded." Julie said.

"You guys did not have to worry since I have told Colossus what we are going to do. He is I'm standby with others in case things goes awry."Ellie who is the real name of Negasonic Teenage Warhead said.

All of us then goes toward the Lady of Liberty Statue only to be greeted by the sight of a being who has four arms on his body thrash Lizard, one of Peter's foe.

" The scent is dim here but I can still smell his scent among the crowd," I said.

The sound of bones cracking can be heard as all of us see how that red skin guy beat the crap out of the Lizard or rather should I say, really crippled him without giving him a chance to move or attack him.

"Wait for minute guys, I just remember he is the guy who beat Miles, Ant-Man and Silk's ass," Victor said.

"Not to mention Kaine," Spider-Girl added.

"I overheard the heroes want to meet him," Ellie said to us.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Hisako said as Ava stop her.

"Wait. From what I see and hear, this shapeshifter is not that good with us heroes. He may attack us." Ava said to us.

"Who did not like heroes these days after what we just do?" Victor quip as I rolled my eyes.

"Let's just meet him and have a nice talk with him. But be ready to fight him." I said as we all show ourselves to the crowd making them open an oath just in time we see the Lizard has returned to normal due to a green beam coming from the shapeshifter who has turned his body.

His body then tense with me take a fight stance followed by the others as we can see how his expression turn into a furious one.

I do not know why he is furious with us.

PETER POV

"Urghh. Them." I almost want to rush to them but then again, I need to maintain my kind persona even though I have beat some of them.

So yeah, let's just get out of here, ignoring these guys.

I face my body away from them as I want to super leap but Spider-Girl leaps near me as she points her finger toward me.

"Hey, shapeshifter, why you beat some of my friends huh?" She asks me but I ignored her after all, she is just the female version of Spiderman who is not that strong and experience.

But then again, young heroes this day easily get the tick off as she shot a web shot toward me but I dodge with me narrows my eyes at her.

"Look here girl, you are not a match against me," I said to her with my raspy tone.

"Oh, why? You afraid to face this girl." She teases me as I glare at her.

"Hmm. I can end your life in many ways I wanted." I thought in my head as I ignore her tease.

Even that tease is what Peter Parker teaches her to make a villain angry to make them lose their composure and focus during the battle.

"No. Look at my record of how I easily beat the other spiderlings. They are pathetic and you, are weaker and more pathetic than them. I did not need all my arms to defeat you girl." I mock her with a smirk as I see how she is now pissed hearing my mockery.

"Just go back to your home and ask your Sister Spider how to be not pathetic like her," I added with a smirk that request to be punch and she does it as she releases a straight punch toward me.

"Fool." I thought it in my head as my other 2 eyes see how her friend scream for her to stop but she already released her punch toward me.

My upper right arm blocks her punch with the power of one palm thrust her with a speed that she did not expect as she gasps for breath as got push backwards as she now is on her knee.

"Oh? What's wrong?Cannot take any more hit girl?" I tease her but then I block a kick from White Tiger as she tried to claw me but I moved backwards and kick her away sending her backwards.

Hisako appears beneath me as I see 2 red solid construct gauntlet as she tries to hammer me.

Not taking any chance, I move aside from her attack as I then block a punch coming from Power Man who pushes me southerly backwards but I just gran his collar with me quickly spin his body sending him to Hisako.

"Now where is h-?" My head feels a sting of pain as I step aside avoiding Laura as I see she is with Lightspeed.

"Hmm. Either this girl is fast or able to teleport." I thought in my head.

"You guys sure are rude to attack me all at once even though that girl is the first to deliver a punch toward me," I said as all of them glares at me.

"What? I am just defending myself. Did not want my handsome face to be dirtied by a girl punch who is so easy to be antagonised?" I said to them as all of them out there guard down a little seeing my relaxed composure.

"Though if you want to fight, you will get one," I said making them take a fighting stance.

"I really cannot wait for the news of you guys grouped up to attack me," I said with a smile.

"Make me wonder if you sidekicks will be scolded by the older heroes for your stupid action?" I tease them with Power Man roars in anger hearing my continuous tease delivers a Chi punch.

Now, if I receive the punch, it will hurt so I am going to counter it back.

But you know what they said, fight using your brain.

I cross both my right arm to block his Chi punch while tilting my body to my right to lessen the impact as I swing my both my right fist on his stomach very hard sending him to the air.

"Power Man!" Lightspeed disappear from the naked eyes as she goes to Power Man with both of them then appear on the ground.

"Damn you!" Spider-Girl continues to assault me with many attacks that I easily dodge with I slap her right hook and use my shoulder to push her back as I punch the ground beneath her making her lose her footing for a second.

Just before I wish toward her, White Tiger and Laura lung toward me courtesy of Hisako as I jump up with me grin as I dived down hammering both of my fist creating quake and dust around the area.

All of them lose their sight of a plan to not attack Laura since that girl can track my scent.

Hisako who is just on my left flinch seeing me but did not move as she is confident for my punch to not break her armour.

But I decide not to as I pass through her to appear at Ellie who has used her power to clash against me as she rushes forward to me but I use my arm to propel myself doing a flip over her as she clashes against Hisako which made both of them clash with them ly on the ground.

"Armor!Negasonic!" Laura called out her teammate name as I super leap away from this place landed far away from that place on the road.

"Ciao sidekicks." I bid them goodbye, though they will not hear it.

"Oh, man. We are so getting scolded." Power-Man muttered as he sees 2 of his teammate's ly on the floor after the dust disappear.

"I seconded that," Julie said as Laura now has picked up a phone call from her dad which everyone is slightly afraid of, Wolverine.

"Fine. I will tell them." Laura said as she ended the call.

"He wanted to meet us at the Xavier Mansion right now," Laura informs the teenagers who groan hearing that.

"Let's just hope we did not get grounded. Spider-Girl commented as the others pick themselves up and make their way to the mutant school.

Arriving at the school, they are greeted by Rogue and Shadowcat who are crossing their arms while looking at them.

" Get inside now," Kitty told them as they walk inside as they see Professor X, Cyclops, Beast, Angel, Emma Forst, Iceman, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Kaine Parker and Silk.

They take a sit as Wolverine is the first to open his mouth.

"Why did you decide to me confront the shapeshifter?" He asks them.

"Because..."Laura cannot state her reason as she grungily answered it albeit she did not want to.

" Because I wanted to ask him why he beat some of us heroes." Spider-Girl answer.

"Sound like you did not get the answer you wanted." Emma Frost said.

"You guys should know what that shapeshifter capable of. Luckily he did not beat you guys as he did toward the criminals." Iceman said.

"Negasonic and Ellie, follow me to the infirmary," Jean said toward them as they followed her leaving the others behind.

"I just want to know why he beat you guys," Spider-Girl said toward Kaine and Silk.

"We know how you feel but for now, do not engage him alone okay?" Kaine said to her as she nodded her head.

"Speaking of the shapeshifter, I believe you manage to see how he make Lizard goes back human right?" Beast ask them.

"Yes. We see how a green beam hit Lizard turning him back to human." Ava replied.

"And did you see how he did it?" Beast ask again.

"From his symbol," Laura replied.

"Hmm. Fascinating." Beast said.

"Why that fascinated you, Hank?" Professor X ask his friend.

"Because look at this Charles." Beast shows them the reported case of what happens in the tunnel.

"The same thing happens toward the infected people when Lizard release the lizard gas that turns people like him in the underground train station," Beast told them.

"And your point is?" Cyclops ask.

"It means the shapeshifter can cure back all the people who have been infected by the Lizard has. Some sort of cure beam that cures their infected DNA to turn them back to the normal human back." Beast told them.

"That is pretty cool." Gambit quip.

"It is cool because such technology will be beneficial to us in case something similar happens toward any people," Beast said in glee.

"I believe I need to make a call toward the Avengers and Fantastic Four. And Hank, follow me too for you to deliver this situation that is caused by the shapeshifter." Both founding mutant then walks out of the room.

"Laura. Follow me." Wolverine said to his daughter who nodded her head as both of them now are in another room.

"Okay. Now tell me how come you guys go there? I believe it is not because of the shapeshifter right?" Wolverine asks his daughter who nods her head.

"I-I sees someone today. Someone who has disappeared for these past weeks." Laura told him.

"Who is it?" Wolverine asks her.

"P-peter Parker," Laura replied as Logan instantly released his claws.

"Laura. This is not a funny matter." Wolverine said to his daughter.

"No, I see him. His appearance is the same albeit he looks a little buff than before but I recognise that face of him." Laura tells him.

Wolverine or Logan want to deny her remark but when he thinks about many weird situations that happen in his entire life, he calms down.

"Are you sure it is him?" Wolverine asks as he retracts back his claws as he in his heart hope that HE is alive.

"Y-yes. I see him okay. But he said he is not PETER PARKER." Laura tells him.

"L-look.Maybe that guy looks like him or he is from a different dimension or his clone or worse, he lost his memory. Have you got anything for us who is good at tracking scent to track his scent?" Wolverine asks her but she shakes her head.

"That is why we go there only to see the shapeshifter," Laura said to his father.

"Who else knows about this?" Wolverine asks her.

"My friends who hang out with me and you," Laura replied.

"Good. Just keep it secret. We still did not know the water that is Peter or not. For now, get a rest." Wolverine said to his daughter who nodded her head as both father and daughter walk out from the room.

"Are you alive Webhead? If you are, why you did not come to us?" Logan thought in his head as he remembers the place where he and the others discover Peter's blood splattered on the floor.

So many amounts of blood and no sight of his body make them think the worse thing has happened to him.

Time passes as they lose hope to at least the corpse of Peter Parker.

"Fuck. I needed a drink." He mutters as he does the same thing he always did on any days.

PETER POV

"Okay. This should be good enough." I commented as I am now in a rainforest far away from New York City as I decide to let try some of my transformations that did not fit in the training room.

And he also wants to have at least peace of mind from being surrounded by nature.

Twisting the dial of Ultimatrix, he rotates it as the playlist that he is currently on is the one he did not use yet.

Selecting one transformation, he slams down his hand on the watch as his body goes on all four as his skin now has many brown layered reptile skins as his tail now has a hammer on it. On his back is a shell that has 2 gattling gun.

"Whoa. This guy is like Ankylo Zord except I am brown and has 2 gattling gun on my back." I commented while marvelling at this transformation.

"Hm. This guy should just be called, Hammersaur." I said as I swing my hammer fail that destroy 3 trees with a single swing.

"Oh damn. A single swing can kill a normal human easily." I thought I thought in my mind.

I start to discover what this alien weakness is which is his speed since this alien is very slow if I ever want to chase sometime. But in term of offence and defence, this guy is the best for now.

"Okay. Now that is enough playing. Time to change once more." Tapping the Ultimatrix my body become humanoid back as I grow a height that is an inch taller than Four Arm as my whole body is encased by many yellow rocks as I stood tall wearing a blue pant.

"Huh?Okay. Ultimatrix. Tell me about this guy." I ask my Ultimatrix which is now glowing as it responds to my question.

"A Kronian. An alien species that is founded in one of Saturn's moons. This alien has a body that protects the user from physical harm and super strength that is far stronger than a normal human. The user also can eat minerals as food to increase their strength." (AN: THE Wiki said eating mineral dislike eating food so I decided to tweak this alien species ability a little bit by making them stronger if they eat minerals)

"Oh, man. This is one cool alien. Okay, I got some for this guy. Brawler." I announced this form name in a happy tone, knowing I have another powerful alien in my arsenal.
