No Yuri, Purposeful NTR, Trap, or Yaori is in this book. (This book is dropped because the writing for this is subpar. Read at your own risk!)

Chapter XXX: I Am The Captain Now

Things here in the good ol' army were progressing faster than I thought before. It's only been one month since I have enlisted.

I'm already a soldier, and I've already gotten myself sent onto a mission today.

I was put under the company squad of Captain Kirk. He took a total of 200 soldiers, including me, to investigate an emergency flare from one of the smaller towns that were not directly in the mist of an all out war. Stu was sent on a smaller mission somewhere else, so we won't be seeing each other in a while.

As soon as we stepped foot in this town, something felt immediately wrong. Nothing that could put me in harm, but everyone else here.

We continued walking around the small town, trying to figure out what was going on, seeing as that there was no one here.

I felt even more suspicious when I saw how perfectly placed some things were. As if they would be used as… cover.

*Click*

"Get down! It's an ambush!" I pushed the Captain down and a bullet passed by his head. There was a sniper on the roof of the building behind us.

Everyone else quickly was alert and took cover inside buildings, behind crates, and other large objects that could be used as cover.

I picked up the stunned Captain and we ran behind a crate for cover. Round after round of gunfire sounded out from all around.

The ambush were from about 500 Japanese and German soldiers combined, which more than doubled our number of soldiers.

I sensed for the natural heat signature that human's released, and located the spot where the most soldiers were. I grabbed grenade and threw it at a specific spot.

"Grenade!" One of them yelled. Some got out of the way and escaped from its blast radius. I can't say the same about the rest who were there.

*BOOOM*

Blood and body parts of those unfortunate who couldn't escape the grenades blast radius, were strung around the battlefield.

The Captain was stunned at how fast things were progressing. He was stunned two times to many, which means he wasn't a very experienced Captain.

"Hey, look at me. I am the Captain now." I took off his hat, but I let him keep his badge. I didn't wanna take all of his dignity.

I put on the hat and rushed towards the Japanese and German soldiers. Thanks to my grenade, there was smoke and dust everywhere.

I signaled all the other soldiers to come follow me through the smoke to get the jump on them. They followed without much hesitation. They could obviously see that the real Captain would not lead them through this.

As soon as we passed the smoke, everyone quickly opened fire on the soldiers who were too slow to notice us passing through. Once they were disposed of, we all took cover again.

My soldiers were shooting from behind cover, hoping that one of their stray bullets would hit a target.

I wanted to lead by example, so I rolled out from behind cover and with precise aim, I short every hidden sniper on the rooftops. I did this so that my soldiers would be less afraid to raise their heads above cover, to get a more accurate shot.

I grabbed the body of a sniper who fell off a roof and used his body as a meat shield. I pulled out another grenade and threw it at another group of enemy soldiers.

We still had around 150 soldiers left, the enemies on the other hand, had very little, only around 50 left.

"Retreat!" As soon I heard that, I only had one thought in mind.

'No one, is leaving here alive.' I dropped the meat shield and ran at the retreating soldiers. I don't need them reporting anything to their leaders. Although spreading my name and fear across the enemy lines would be good, I'd rather keep this a mystery for now.

I picked up an AR off the ground and let loose. I managed to shoot all 50 of them, but instead of killing them, I paralyzed them. I shot them all multiple times in the spinal cord. They'll bleed out before anyone can come save them.

I searched all of these dead soldiers for anymore ammunition, firearms, explosives, or information about what the enemy is planning.

I found all of what I was looking for and stored them in my inventory, making sure no one would see. I walked back into the middle of town, where all of the soldiers were.

They were catching their breath, and calming their rapid heart rate. They probably needed it, but more enemies could appear, so we needed to move.

"Get up soldiers, we need to make a move. A wild enemy could appear at any moment. We need to repot back to the General." They nodded and stood up.

We made our way back to base to report what happened.

"You soldiers get some rest. I'll take care of the report." They saluted and walked off to get rest. I wonder what made them so willing to take my orders. Do I exude some kind of dominance or leadership? Maybe.

I knocked on the door of General Donaldson.

"Come in." A gruff voice said to me.

"Soldier, what brings you here? Where is Captain Kirk?" I started explaining to the General what occurred on the mission.

"I see. Did you obtain any information from the enemy?" I reached into my pocket and pulled out a map from my inventory, I put it on his desk.

He picked it up and started to read its contents. His eyes widened many times as he looked over this map.

"This map will be very useful. You're work today will be rewarded." I saluted at his words.

"At ease soldier. You are dismissed." I walked out of his office and just walked. I didn't really have a location in mind, I just started walking.

There wasn't much to do here in the army, but I'd pull through. It was starting to get boring. I haven't had sex in a whole month, it was stressful.

It sucked even more to know it'll be even longer. It made me consider getting a harem, but I ignored the idea. I always thought harem's were cool, but more weird than anything else.

I found it unbelievable how easy the protagonists girlfriend accepted sharing him with another woman. In some of the fan fictions I read in my past life, harems could be done successfully, but in other cases, I felt weird reading them.

I could always try one, but only if Anna would be fine with it. If she's not, then I won't go behind her back and do it anyways, that'd be fucked up. And that's coming from me.

Anyways, I've heard news about a new super-powered man who's been helping America in this war. It was obviously Steve Rogers, the Captain America.

Even though he was destined to become such, I couldn't help but feel proud of the little guy. He went from a skinny, weak, and frail man. To one of America's greatest war hero and one of Earth's mightiest heroes.

I stopped walking after a while and stopped in front of a building. It was a shooting range. I didn't know why, but I felt an attraction to go inside.

I walked in and saw that it was entirely empty. I walked into the back and saw a single elderly man shooting a gun. He was dressed in a sweater, comfy pants, dress shoes, and he had glasses.

Wait..

"Stan Lee?" He took off the ear muffs and safety goggles that you were required to wear at a gun range.

"Hahaha! You think you're fast? I'm faster! Excelsior!" I ran towards him before he could do a godly disappearance, but he did so before I could reach him.

'He is fast, and this is just the proof I need. He's the One Above All.' A smile crept onto my face at the all powerful elderly man who was here.

I don't know his purpose for coming down here. Maybe to see how fast I am? Wait, since he knows my existence, that means he knows that I'm an anomaly. He didn't erase me from existence?

I avoided a headache by thinking any further, so I finally made my way towards the sleeping quarters to get the non needed sleep that I deserve.

—————————

"You know, you're an anomaly yourself Savitar." Two beings stood on a cloud, having a heated discussion.

"I understand that One Above All, but-"

"No, no buts. I'm a nice God, but answer me this. You, an anomaly yourself, secretly entered my multiverse, brought another anomaly, who is creating changes within the entire multiverse. Why shouldn't I erase you and him from existing?"

The One Above All clearly wasn't happy with the anomaly God standing before him.

"It was either, I rot in my universe for eternity. Or, I find an avatar, send him away, and make people believe in me again so I can live.

If you were in my situation, wouldn't you do the same?" The One Above All stopped to think about Savitar's words, and sighed.

"Fine, you're anomaly can stay here and continue to live, but you must find ways to prevent him from making catastrophic changes in the multiverse. Or else."

"I understand." Savitar slowly dissipated away from the dimension, leaving the One Above All to contemplate his decision.

"I'm getting tired of some of these damn anomalies."
