2 Chapter II: An Island, The Chase, and The Burial (Edited)
It's been around a week since I've reincarnated, and I have to say, it's been a pretty busy week for me. For one, I've been running around different areas in this new land, looking for materials to make myself some weapons and armor for fighting and protection. Why? Because one day I might be in a situation where I can't use my speed, and I also might not always want to use my speed to kill my enemies. It's also nice to just have other skills in my arsenal.
So far I've only made any progress on the weapons. I'm almost done with the armor though, and it shouldn't take more than another week to finish making it. I created the armor and weapons out of the snake scales that I took from that snake, and to my surprise, the snake actually tasted pretty decent. That's besides the point though and highly irrelevant at this point in time.
But what is relevant, is that I'm going to take a break from building my armor and I'm going to go explore. I've memorized this cave and it's area almost perfectly, so I'm confident I can get back here without having any issues.
"Adventure time." I said as I got into a running position before I took off in an instant. I haven't made much time to practice with my newfound speed in the past week, so I guess this can also be a little training.
I was running so fast that it seemed like I was flying through the trees. The way I maneuvered through the trees resembled a graceful bird that knew it's surroundings very well. And let's not talk about the feeling of running. The feeling was spectacular, euphoric if I must say. I was running around for a little while until I stopped at a magnificent site.
I stopped at a rocky yet grassy cliff, and in the distance across from the cliff, there was a large amount of green land. I ran away from the cliff and looked for a high vantage point so I could look at the land I was on. I found a small mountain and I ran up it. I got to the top and then looked around, and that's when I realized something.
"I'm on an Island." When I looked around, I could see all of the land. I saw a bunch of tree areas, plains, caves, and the edges of the island. "Wow." The view was truly stunning. But more importantly, this could be another amazing training opportunity. There's not a single dinosaur on this island, only large birds, snakes, and small mammals. As far as I've seen at the least.
'The plan is simple. To garner strength, I can take down all the trees, and kill all the birds so that I could eat them all for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desert. The same goes for any small mammals or large snakes that have a problem with me chopping the trees down too.' I licked my lips at the thought of finding out how those large birds taste.
'Then to train my speed, I can run around the openness of the areas, and then terraform the land to make it flat, then, with all the spare wood, I could build myself the biggest house of the millennium!' With this brand new plan in being put into motion, I ran back to my cave and got right back to work on my armor.

It's been a few days since I started on my armor again, and I've been cooped up in this cave since then. So, I left the cave and ran towards my usual hunting spot with my sword, to get some food, because I was starving. I got there and hid in a tree while surveying the area, but there was something different happening in my hunting spot. There was a small, but injured velociraptor on the ground, surrounded by three large birds.
They kept pecking at the little guy, and picking him up by his leg and dropping him, like he was a rag doll of some sorts. I don't know why, but this upset me. 'They're fucking with him because of how weak he is.' I thought while glaring menacingly at the birds.
I felt bad for the little Dino, because my dad used to bully me for being weak too, claiming for it to be "tough love." Just thinking about him makes me mad. 'I'm gonna kill those birds and feed them to that velociraptor if he makes it.' I thought evilly. I jumped down from the tree and landed on top of one bird, then I threw my sword into the head of another.
I quickly phased my hand and shoved it through the birds heart. As soon as it fell, I disappeared from the other bird's view and I grabbed my sword. I disappeared again and reappeared behind the bird, cutting it's legs off. As it fell, I watched as my perception of time slowed down, I ran towards the bird and I grabbed its beak. I yanked back and ripped its beak off.
*CACAWW CACAWW*
The bird squawked in pain as it began to bleed out from its face.
I walked towards the velociraptor that was laying in the middle of the hunting ground. I crouched down and looked at it with sorrow. It was whimpering in pain, it knew it's demise was coming. I pulled out a syringe I made while using materials from the forest, and I took some of his blood. Then I closed his eyes with his hand and I lifted up my phasing hand. "Rest." I whispered to him, as I plunged my hand into his chest, ending the little guys life.
*CACAW* *CACAW* *CACAW*
I look up at the trees and saw them rustling. A flock of birds flew out of the trees and head straight for me. I looked down at the little Dino with a conflicted look. "I'm gonna comeback for you little buddy." I turned around and ran at a low enough speed so that the birds don't lose me. I was gonna kill every single one of those birds.
I ran towards the ocean that was far away enough from the island and mainland, and made a tidal wave follow behind me. When we were far enough away from the island, I turned around and made the tidal wave slam into the birds, killing them on impact.
I turned back around on the water while containing my speed, as too not make another tidal wave. When I got back to the birds, I ripped all of their beaks off and ran back towards the island.
'Maybe I can use these for my weapons.' I didn't need to use it for my armor, seeing as most of it is gonna be made out of that big ass snakes' skin.
Putting those ideas aside, I made it back to the hunting ground and picked up the velociraptor. I brought him back to the cave, cleaned his wounds, and put tree sap over his cuts small cuts before sewing up the big ones.
I ran out the cave and found a small tree. I began to cut it down with an ace that I made out of snake scales too. I made a lot of tools using snake scales.
I made a sword, a shovel, an axe, a pickaxe, and a hoe out of those snake scales.
After I cut the tree down, I brought it back to the cave and began to carve the middle of it to make a coffin, cutting off the excess wood.

It took me about thirty minutes to make the coffin, put him in it, and to dig a hole. After all of that is done, I finally lower him into the hole, and start filling it with dirt.
"Amazing grace, how sweet, the sound.
That saved a wretch like me-"
When my musical number was over, the little Dino was finally buried and it was night time. Before I went back to my cave to finish my armor, I put down a tombstone in front of the dirt pile that read,
"Rest in Peace
Little Dino
Loving Dinosaur, Dino, and Velociraptor
Mesozoic Era - Mesozoic Era"
I smiled at my work before heading into the cave to finally finish the armor I've been working so hard on to perfect. I'm also going to use those beaks add onto my weapons or armor.
All I know is that today, a real one was lost.

"Uncle? Didn't you say that humans won't appear until 69 million years later? Why is there one right now?" A teenager looked up at his uncle and asked.
"I don't know boy, but I'm going to find out soon enough." A man with a cold, gruff voice said.
