Marvel: An Assassin's Worthiness.

The Marvel Universe is a cold, unforgiving, universe that takes and never gives back, as what happened with Medea. Losing the only person who mattered to her, how will our young protagonist enact her revenge? Only God knows. This book can get pretty dark at times, so caution I guess. I hope you enjoy.

Chapter 2.

'Is this the end? Will I be able to reunite with Mama?' Medea asked as she sunk deeper into the ocean...

[10 minutes prior]

After swearing to the gods, the trunk of the car soon opened. A large hand grabbed Medea out of the trunk and began tying cinderblocks to her limbs.

"LET. ME. GO!" Medea thrashed around only to Vasileios's joy.

"Yes, wiggle worm, you'll be trying to do a lot more of that in a few seconds." Vasileios laughed as the cinderblocks were tied to Medea's arms and legs. Vasileios effortlessly held Medea with one hand over the raging ocean.

"Any last words vermin?" Vasileios asked and Medea only smiled.

"Ptui, fuck you." Medea spat on Vasileios's face and he dropped her into the sea below. As Medea's weighted body hit the ocean's surface, she had the wind knocked out of her, causing some water to enter her lungs.

Medea tried swimming up, but to no avail, the cinderblocks were too heavy and all that moving made her exhausted.

'I need air! I'm reaching my limit!' Medea's hopes for air were only getting farther as she sank deeper into the ocean.

"Cough!" Medea's lungs forcibly inhaled, resulting in more water entering Medea's lungs. Medea thrashed more but she didn't swim up any further, she was getting desperate and she could feel herself slipping.

'Is this the end? Will I be able to reunite with Mama now?' Medea slowly closed her eyes as she sank deeper into the blue, unforgiving ocean. As Medea slowly died, a black orb the size of a baseball entered Earth's atmosphere at Mach 274. The black orb zipped throughout the Earth as if it had directions and it soon found its destination. The orb flew into the Aegean Sea and found its target, a dying Medea.

The black orb collided and combined with Medea, creating a large blast. The blast was powerful enough to launch Medea out of the ocean and onto the shore. Within 30 seconds of returning to land, Medea woke up.

"Cough! Cough! Cough!" Medea coughed up all the water filling her 10-year-old lungs. Medea rolled on her back and looked at the cloudy sky.

"W-What happened? How am I alive?" Medea asked herself, as she finally stood up. Medea clutched her fist and looked at the city of Athens in anger, "Vasileios, I promise you I'm going to kill you!"

As Medea stepped forward, her whole world changed. Instead of being on the shores of Athens, she found herself in a gigantic library.

"What the?" Medea's confusion was cleared when a black book came flying at her and went into her head like a CD. Medea dropped to her knees and her eyes rolled back as information flooded her brain. After five minutes, the book was ejected out of Medea's head, and Medea threw up.

'I was saved by an orb? A sentient orb that travels among the cosmos looking for a suitable host?' Medea smiled as she clenched her fist, "This gives me a greater chance at killing Vasileios!"

Medea stood up and began exploring the library. Medea founds books on various martial arts such as Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Boxing, and more. She even found martial arts from other planets. Along with martial arts, she found various manuals on how to use certain weapons like Katanas, Sai's, Longswords, Shortswords, and more. The number of martial arts and weapon manuals was endless.

While Medea was exploring the library, she found a large door with the words 'The Armory' above it. Medea shrugged and pushed the door open. In a flash, she was brought to an almost endless room full of weapons. Weapons such as very primitive rock knives, to a Barret M82. Medea knew she was too small for something like an assault rifle or sword, so she picked up two daggers and a dozen throwing knives.

Medea ventured deeper into the armory and found a secluded area, devoid of anything but a single armor stand. The suit on the armor stand was a black body suit, a large black cloak with a red X on the back, and a black mask devoid of eye holes, a nose hole, and a mouth hole.

"So cool..." Medea almost touched the suit but then her world flashed and she was back in the library. This time, she was transported to a table, and on the table was a thick black book. Medea almost sighed but steeled herself and began reading the book.

The book Medea was being forced to read, is an ancient book about all forms of assassination and how they were done. The more Medea read, the more hooked she got and before she knew it, two hours had passed. As Medea was about to turn to the next page, her world flashed once again and she found herself in an all-white room.

"Can you please stop doing that Orb?" Medea asked with a tinge of annoyance. She looked around the white room and only found the daggers and throwing knives she took, and two books. Medea picked up the first book that read, 'Knife fighting for dummies', and the other book read, 'Knife throwing for dummies.'

Medea ignored the titles and began reading. After 45 minutes of reading, Medea decided to practice what she read. Medea picked up her dagger and held it in a hammer grip, then she began thrusting. Soon, Medea began to cycle through all of the knife grips she learned and was slowly getting the hang of them.

"Haaa...this...is fun!" Medea was dripping with sweat as she sat down on the pure white floor. Medea's break time was interrupted by an incoming dummy that was holding a dagger. Medea quickly stood up and picked up her dagger, holding it in a reverse grip.

"Level 1. Activated." The dummy said in a monotone voice as it charged at Medea. Once it got within close range of Medea, the dummy swung its blade outwardly. Medea dodged as best as she could but still ended up getting a cut on her cheek. Annoyed, Medea sprinted forward and kicked the dummy on its side.

"99.99% Health Remaining." The dummy said. Medea clicked her tongue as she leaped back to dodge a hammer stab from the dummy. Medea's eyes subconsciously examined the dummy for an opening, one which she found. Medea leaped forward, going for the brief opening on the dummy's left side. Medea inflicted a deep cut into the dummy's side, as she rolled away from its body.

"Heavy Injury, 79% Health Remaining. Bleeding, 55%." Red liquid flowed out of the dummy's would profusely and Medea threw one of her throwing knives at the dummy's head. The dummy deflected the throwing knife, leaving it open once again. Medea charged forward and stabbed her dagger square into the dummy's chest.

"0% Health Remaining. Level 1, Completed. Grading...." The dummy's eyes shined white before an A+ appeared on its forehead.

"Grade, A+. Congratulations." The dummy slowly clapped which made Medea awkwardly smile.

"Thank you?" Medea sighed and laid down on the white floor. Soon, her world flashed and she was back on the shores of Athens, with her dagger and throwing knives.

"And I'm back." Medea dusted herself off and tied her dagger to her shorts. Medea began walking in the direction of the city...
