60 Frigga (1)

After I successfully proposing to Brynhildr, the thing we did in the following days was to inform our family and friends of our choice in order to share with them the joy and happiness.

I don't know how Odin or Frigga or even the three Brynhildr brothers, who were already reaching their second decade, would act on this news (aside from Loki) but I knew the reactions of people on my part.

My mom and dad, Helga and Trigev, were happy, although they wondered why I married Odin's daughter because I said many things about him, but they were old instigators of our relationship, and it was not hard to convince them of the realism of our feelings.

And since they were very supportive parents, they encouraged and supported me and gave me their blessings, which is something that I was thankful for.

Heimdall and Sif were supportive too, but while Saif was a little surprised, Heimdall said directly that he sees and hears everything, which made me look at him with wonder, Not cool man! not cool!

And while I did not plan to invite the Olympians because I don't think I would trust some of them (like Aphrodite) at the ceremony, I did invite some trusted people like Athena and Artemis.

Well, let's not talk about both of them being surprised, but while Athena said she would attend the wedding ceremony and steal all the lights, Artemis said she would stop hanging out with me because I wouldn't be a virgin anymore.

This was okay with me, although I started to wonder if she thought I was really a virgin, and also, what exactly made her think this? but i guess she's just messing with me, she's the goddess of virginity after all, i don't think she would make such mistake.

Anyway, because I like caution, I decided not to invite the rest, because Zeus could not go to Asgard anyway, while Hephaestus congratulated me but did not want to attend, whereas I do not want Circe to turn the people in Asgard into pigs, while it will not be Fitting to invite Themis to my marriage.

On the other hand, Hera insisted on attending the marriage, while my original intention was not to invite her, because while she seemed nice, the stories and gossip did not lie, but I could only agree after she said that her blessing would make my marriage happier.

Between her and Frigga, who had previously provoked me, I trusted the Queen of Gods the most, so I didn't insist that she not come, of course I'll set an eye on her.

Anyway, after doing all this, and wasting an entire day before returning to Asgard, I spoke to Brynhildr again in the evening, and she said to me that her adoptive mother, Frigga, wanted to talk to me the next day.

I also knew her family's reaction, while Frigga wanted to talk to me, Odin stared at her and asked if she was sure three times before he fell silent, while the three warriors, Thor, Loki, and Baldur were not here to hear this news.

They were sent to Vanaheim with some other warriors in order to fight a group of thieves trying to steal the Vanir's remains, but I'm pretty sure they'd be happy for us (at least Loki) right?

Currently, I am sitting on a sofa in what appears to be a living room in the royal palace, while the Queen of Asgard is sitting across from me and the only thing that separates us is the glass table between us.

Frigga had grey hair, but her face was young while she was wearing a golden dress.

"So Valli Trigevson, why would you want to marry Brynhildr?" Frigga said while talking about the girl that couldn't stay in the room.

I don't know if she's worried if I have hidden intentions against Brynhildr or against the royal family, after all, it's really hard to predict the feelings of people in higher social ranks, the motivation behind their actions may be fear, love, greed, or all of them.

I looked at her for a second before I answered, "Of course, because we believe we love each other."

"mutual love, huh?" she said, as she appeared to not believe me. "If you really believe this, I have to tell you that I have another theory,"

"You have not been satisfied for a long time, and since my naive daughter was already friendly towards you and could not hide the clarity of her feelings, you took this opportunity with hope for some revenge."

I looked at her silently for a few moments and couldn't help but be surprised, she had the nerves to say it! did she think everyone would do what they themselves would have done?

"I'm sorry?!" I said as I raised my eyebrows, "I don't know why you think I will do this, unlike some others, I know the concept of mercy and forgiveness, and my major divinity is wisdom, and unlike some gods, I don't have the title 'God of Wisdom' for just showing, taking advantage of a girl's feelings is against my principles."

"..!" She looked at me wide eyes and seemed to realize that I mean them with my words, it is not my fault, I have already closed this topic, but they did not.

"Interestingly, it seems that principles are important to you, even though you, a man of principles, have not wanted to take responsibility for years."

"I always bear responsibility for my actions," I simply said while not confessing or denying her words.

"Well then, if you really insist on entering into an unsuccessful marriage, it's okay, let's discuss marriage matters first," said Frigga as she leaned forward, "What can you offer to give to Brynhildr?"

Upon hearing her speech, I couldn't help but wonder if she saw a vision, unfortunately, I didn't have the infamous Future Sight.

"What do you mean?"

"The groom gives the bride something precious in order to show his ability and love for her. What are you going to give to Brynhildr?"

She gave me the answer to a question I did not ask, but unlike the main characters in the novels that I have been reading in my past life, I will not pretend to be cool and walk with the flow, I am the god of wisdom, and I must know the truth now.

"No, I mean, what did you mean by saying my marriage was unsuccessful?"

"Since you are a god of wisdom, you should be able to figure this out, right?" She looked at me while raising her eyebrow, "All I mean is, my personal opinion is that you don't fit each other."

I looked at her at length, and I didn't know if she was lying or telling the truth. Her facial expressions and her unconscious behavior say she is not lying, but there is a possibility that she is a good liar, or maybe she just said this because she doesn't like me for a reason I don't know.

Really, I haven't even interacted with her before!

I began to think about her words, although the Asgardians acknowledge the consolation between the sexes and that love is more important than money and all this, we still have our traditions, giving precious things to the wife is one of these traditions.

Unfortunately, while gold is precious in the earth, it is so common in Asgard that most of our buildings are made of pure gold.

"I can offer silver and diamonds ..." I said, which made her look at me like if she was asking me if I think they lacked these materials, which made me complete "... As a small commission, I can also give her a magic ring made of the purest form of Mithril, I can give her too A myriad wealth of materials is not found in the Nine Realms, and not only that! But also my loyalty and eternal love!"

She looked at me while she seemed to be not really convinced, what? Do you really think I don't deserve her?

"sure, I agree to your marriage, but none of your Olympians friends will attend."

Upon hearing his words, I couldn't help but start to persuade her.
