39 39. Obediah Stein

"My god, Tony, didn't you sleep?"

Adam looked at Tony who had dark pouches under his eye.

Tony waved his hand, "Enough of that. Stand there and do that thing with a scroll or whatever."

He pointed to a clean area surrounded by several screens.

Adam scoffed, "It's a sealing scroll! How many times do I have to tell you?"

Tony didn't bother and pushed him infront of the screen, "Just do it already."

Adam glared at him, "Mind you, you are asking my help for developing a new technology."

Tony grinned, "And you are asking for my suit."

Adam sighed and placed several scrolls on the ground.

"Open!"

The scroll popped out several shurikans and kunais back to back. It lasted for five seconds.

Tony stared at what happened and asked, "Jarvis, anything?"

Jarvis's mechanical voice rung out, "There is slight fluctuation in sub atomic energy. I have recorded the pattern, sir."

Tony clapped, "Alright. Do a few more and we are done."

Adam could only go along with it for his ride. After five minutes Tony was done.

Adam impatiently asked, "Where is it?"

Tony pointed to the wall and it opened up revealing a blue white suit of armour. Adam excitedly ran to it. He hoped onto the platform.

"Jarvis?"

"Suiting."

As his words rang out the blue suit of armour opened up and covered Adam.

A blue screen lit up inside the cold armour, "This is awesome. Let's fly!"

The boosters on his feet lit up. Adam clumsily floated up, however he quickly got a hang of it.

Tony waved impatiently, "Alright, don't disturb me, get out."

He opened the roof and Adam flew out.

Whooh!!!

Adam screamed at the top of his lung. The feeling of riding through the air was exhilarating. He saw several options regarding weaponry but didn't mind it.

Whooh!!!

He let out an exhilarating scream and disappeared into the clouds.

...

Afghanistan.

"Tony made this?"

A bald white man with grey beard asked.

"Yes."

The bald man that threatened Tony while he was a prisoner nodded. His head and his hands were bandaged. A scar ran across his cheek.

The bearded man was Obediah Stein. The other shareholder of Stark Industries and Tony's godfather.

Stein looked at Tony's first creation, a light sparkled in his eyes.

"I don't want Jericho anymore. I want this, Mr. Stein."

Stein turned around and smiled but it looked cold. The bald man felt something wrong, he was about speak when his voice cracked. He lost control of his body and fell down.

Stein held a small metal device on his hand. Looking at the man beneath his feat Stein pulled out his gun and pulled the trigger.

Finishing his business he once again looked at the metal armour. A smile crept onto his face.

Oh Tony... you want to shut down the Arms division but here you are gifting me the greatest weapon you have ever created.

...

Adam had his fun. He reluctantly returned the armour, Tony nearly had to pry it away from him.

Staring at Tony he curiously asked, "Why do you want to create this piece of technology so badly?"

Tony simply said, "When I develop this technology, I can take my clothes, sneakers, armour, wine, and everything else with me wherever I go!"

Adam facepalmed, "You just want a mobile home?"

Tony nodded.

Adam sighed, "You know, this technology is very dangerous. A person can smuggle drugs, guns and ammunitions in a piece of wrist watch if you develop it."

Tony waved his hand, "Don't worry, only I will use it."

Adam nodded, "As long as you know that it's fine. Anyway I am leaving."

With that said he disappeared into the darkness.

When he was half way back home he remembered something. Wait, it's been several days since Tony came back. If the timeline is correct then wouldn't Obediah Stein try to kill him.

He halted his steps and turned back. When he entered Tony's home he saw the latter sprawled on the ground like a dead chicken.

"You alive, Tony?"

In response to his question Tony's bloodshot eyes glared at him.

"I'll take that as a yes."

He pulled him up and helped him walk to the ark reactor he made in Afghanistan.

Adam carefully plugged it into his chest. Tony's breath calmed down, he took a second to gather his strength and got up on his feet.

"Pepper is in danger!"

Tony rushed down to the garage and took his suit. Without waiting for Adam he took to the skies.

A minute after he left Rhodey came by, "Where is Tony?"

Adam replied, "Stark Industries."

Obtaining Tony's ark reactor Stein was able to power up his suit. He killed the agents protecting Pepper and was about to squeeze the life out of her when Tony arrived.

"Stay here."

He dropped Pepper off at a safe distance.

"You tried to kill me, for what, my company?"

Tony looked at Stein.

Stein scoffed, "I raised Stark Industries from nothing, I helmed it for years, I own it! It's mine! I won't allow a snarky playboy to waltz around and whimsically make decisions."

Tony narrowed his eyes, "It seems like you won't surrender."

Stein scowled, "Oh, Tony. I have your technology and your suit. You will die here."

He raised his arm and fired. Tony flew up and dodged the incoming attack. He raised his arm and fired back.

He thought he had the advantage but Stein's suit rumbled and slowly started to rise.

Uh-oh.

Stein's flight surprised him, he failed to react and got caught in his arms.

He used his thrusters to get loose and fired a shot a his chest. Stein lost balance and fell down. He crashed into the busy street.

The sudden accident startled the cars on the street. One in particular was right infront of Stein.

Tony had a bad premonition. He was about to rush forward when he saw a figure emerge from the shadows.

That figure flashed infront of Stein and kicked his chest. Like a soft ball Stein was kicked away, he crashed through a concrete railing.

"Hey, keep your fight private!"

Adam yelled at Tony.

Tony gave a thumbs up and rushed at Stein.

Stein was stunned, he didn't know what happened just now. All he saw was a blur and he suddenly crashed through concrete.

As he was confused he saw Tony coming at him. Putting what happened to the back of his mind he rushed into the sky. They tangled for a bit before rushing back to Stark Industries.

Adam looked around and found no one hurt, "Guess, this episode is coming to a close."
