Popular? Nah, I want to be rich

Monday morning, what a wonderful time. Not

I have to go to school. It was boring before, but now it was even worse. I could be improving my skill or stats, but noo, I have to go to school.

Classes passed so slow since I couldn't wait to finish and go grind the Legion Zombie. It was so worth it since it dropped Health and Mana Potions plus 500$!

I was seriously considering dropping out of school. I can become rich in a few years just by killing the Legion Zombie over and over again.

That's without even putting into consideration what will happen when Created ID increases in level. Obviously, I will get stronger mobs to fight, which means more powerful and higher leveled Bosses.

And everyone knows that means better loot. Speaking of that, I wonder if increasing my luck will get me better drops? If so, I should probably try to increase that stat somehow.

With thoughts like that going through my mind, classes passed one by one until it was time for the last one of the day, Physical Education.

I used to hate Phys. Ed. It was never my favorite class since I wasn't really physically gifted. Granted, I never did anything to change that. I was okay with being a regular teenager that liked playing games.

Now, my physical stats have more than doubled since the last time I had Phys. Ed. I could probably become one of the best athletes in school. Unfortunately, I had no plans for that. I just wanted to grind in peace.

My class shared Phys. Ed. with another 11th grade class. Since our school gym was pretty big, the teacher tended to separate the boys and girls. We usually played basketball against each other since the teacher was a big fan of the NBA while the girls played volleyball.

In my class, there are two pretty good players, Kurt and Mortimer. The two are one of the best in school. However, the best player in school was in the other class, Pietro Maximoff. There was also another good player there, Dominikos Petrakis.

Both of them were part of the Brotherhood of Mutants.

[<Quicksilver of the Brotherhood of Mutants> Pietro Maximoff Lvl. 38]

{Pietro Maximoff was born in Serbia and is the twin brother of Wanda Maximoff. He is the biological son of ??? and firmly believes in his father's idealism for the future of mutant-kind. Pietro aspires to become just like him. His bond with Wanda is strong, as the two have lived through many hardships together. Pietro, like his sister, was genetically modified by the ???. He wants to overwhelmingly win in the basketball game.}

Pietro was one of the highest levels I've seen, but even though my Observe told me he and Wanda are twins, I still don't believe it. He has blue eyes and silver hair while Wanda has green eyes and auburn hair. They also don't resemble each other.

[<Avalanche of the Brotherhood of Mutants> Dominikos Petrakis Lvl. 29]

{Dominikos Petrakis was born in Greece. He was afraid of using his mutant powers when he discovered them since he had seen how mutant-kind are being hunted down. However, when he was approached by Mystique, who offered him the chance to change that, he joined the Brotherhood of Mutants. He likes designing gardens. Dominikos wishes to win the basketball game.}

I took a look over to where the girls were getting ready for their volleyball game. There I saw the highest level person my ability allowed me to see.

[<Scarlet Witch of the Brotherhood of Mutants> Wanda Maximoff Lvl. 45]

{Wanda Maximoff was born in Serbia and is the twin sister of Pietro Maximoff. She is the biological daughter of ???, but she doesn't believe in his idealism and works for him since she owns him a debt. Her bond with Pietro is strong, as the two have lived through many hardships together. Wanda, like her brother, was genetically modified by the ???. She just wants this class to end as fast as possible.}

As beautiful as she looks, Wanda seems like a scary gal. When I used Observe her, I noticed that a few girls looked at me from time to time.

I was wearing a pair of shorts and a jersey, and my improved physical stats had made my body look way better than before. Honestly, being appreciated felt very good.

The game of basketball started, and as usual, our class was being beaten. Kurt and Mort had both leveled up with my friend being at level 24 while Mort was at 22.

However, they couldn't compare to Pietro. He was quicker than them and seemed to always know how others will move before they did. He was also a good player.

I was sitting on the bench, waiting for the stupid class to end when I heard the teacher say.

"Wilkins, you are out! Williamson, you are in!"

"I'm in?"

The teacher usually didn't sub me in since he knew I wasn't any good.

"Yes, you are in!"

Well, it didn't matter too much to me. I just had to move my ass a bit before the class ended. It's not like they would pass me the ball or anything.

Five seconds later, the ball reached my hands. Are you kidding me? I'm not a basketball player!

I didn't really know what to do, so I just took a shot. Surprisingly, it was actually on mark. The ball hit the front of the rim and bounced up. Well, it was a good try.

Then I saw the ball fall down and roll on the rim before going through the hoop.

*Ding* +1 Luck

Would you look at that?

"Good one, Williamson. Now, back to defense."

Being praised feels nice.

The game continued, and my team passed me the ball more times. I just shot it every time since I didn't really know what else to do. I scored a few more baskets, but in the end, we lost the game since the other team had a major lead on us.

"Williamson, where have you been hiding all of that?"

The teacher walked up to me, he looked surprised.

"You should join the basketball team, you could be a nice addition."

[Quest has been created.]

[Join your high school basketball team: Join the basketball team and win a state championship.]

[Rewards: 10 000XP; You will become more popular in your school.]

[Failure: You will be slightly more know as a member of your high school basketball team.]

I took one good look at the Quest before refusing it. The XP award was okay, but I can earn more farming zombies. Becoming popular was the more lucrative one, but I will have to spend so much time practicing and then playing basketball.

My time was better spent farming mobs to increase my stats, skills, levels while I also become rich in the process.

"I'm sorry, Sir. Sports are not really my thing."

"Are you sure, Williamson? Many students wish to join the team, but are never given a chance."

"Yes, sir."

I had no problem refusing that. This Quest simply wasn't for me. My time was better spent getting stronger that trying to become more popular.

"Will, you've put some muscles on," Kurt said in the locker room.

"I've been working out recently," I said smugly.

"Maybe you vill finally get a girl," Kurt said and laughed.

"Yeah, right. Like that will ever happen, nerd," Mort sneered.

"No one asked you, brainless gargoyle!"

"Fuck you, blue monkey!"

And they were at it again. Those two couldn't stay in the same room without insulting each other.

I waved at Kurt and left as the two continued trading insults. I rushed back home and made some food with grandma before leaving the house.

"Create ID: Zombies!"

It was time to farm! Without wasting even a second, I began firing Spinning Mana Bullet like a madman. With my new skill, High-Speed Calculation, I was able to cast two spells at the same time.

Not only was my killing speed increased, but my spell was improving at a faster rate, and the higher Spinning Mana Bullet got, the more bullets I was able to fire with each cast. I was slowly turning into a machine gun.

Before I knew it, I heard the growling of the Legion Zombie as it formed behind me.

"Hello, friend. I missed you."

I already knew how to deal with the Boss. Just get him angry enough to throw things at me and kill him by sending them back with portals.

About half an hour later, the Legion Zombie fell down. Ah, easy game, easy life.

I skipped over to the loot, where I found a stack of bills, two green potions, and a sword.

[Steel Sword(Common): A simple sword made out of steel.]

Well, that was boring, but the next item made me happy.

[Lowest Grade Stamina Potion(Common): It gives 4 hours of energy when consumed. Each consecutive drink's effect will be reduced by 50%.]

That was amazing! Drinking this and Red Bulls, I can extend my farming time!

I used Exit ID before creating another Dungeon, and my Create ID leveled up to 10. With that, I had a new available Dungeon, Skeletons.

I was going to check it out, right after I finish another Boss.

The Legion Zombie dropped only two Health Potions and cash, but I didn't care. I was rich! In a bit under two hours, I made 1 000$! At this point, I stopped picking up the Dimes from the normal zombies, it was pointless when I can get 500$ from the Boss.

Another good thing that happened was that my Portal Creation reached 5, and I no longer needed to do the circular motion with my hand to create the portals. I can just point a place and create them at will.

Everything was going my way, and now it was time to check out my new Dungeon.

"Creat ID: Skeletons!"

I didn't need to look for long before I spotted a group of five skeletons. All of them carried shields and swords.

[Skeleton Warrior Lvl 20.]

[Spirits of the Underworld that roam the land of the living. Those abominations are magical constructs made from the bones of the deceased. Skeletons are resistant to piercing attacks, but have a weakness to blunt damage.]

My strongest spell, Spinning Mana Bullet, was weak against them, but that wasn't the only way I can deal with them.

The group of skeletons spotted me and rushed towards me.

"Stop!" Using Eldritch Magic, I conjured five ropes that bound them all.

They couldn't move a bone as I conjured an energy construct above them.

"Hammer time!" I dropped five large hammers and crushed them all.

Skeletons awarded me a lot more XP, and I checked the loot I got from them. It was disappointing compared to the Legion Zombie. They dropped bones and Quarters.

Suddenly, I felt pain in my shoulder as an arrowed burrowed inside me. Looking at the direction it came, I saw a Skeleton Archer standing on top of a building.

I killed the archer by dropping hammers on top of it.

Hearing a whooshing sound, I created a portal underneath me right before a fireball hit my previous location.

So, Skeleton Warriors, Archers, and Mages were my enemies here. This Dungeon was a lot more difficult than the zombie one. However, it was still manageable for me. I just kept conjuring hammers and dropped them on the skeletons. Easy peasy.

I killed a few more Skeletons before using Escape ID. I didn't want to face off against the Skeleton Boss right now. The Zombie Legion was about 5x the levels of the normal zombies. Going by this logic, the Skeleton Boss will be a foe I'm not ready to face as of now.

Due to fighting the Legion Zombies and the skeletons, I was quite the distance away from my neighborhood, and when I left the Dungeon, I heard shouting and people fighting near me.

I should've probably just created another Dungeon or even used a portal to go back home, but damn it, I was curious and wanted to see what's happening.
