12 Need more skills and time

"Do you know what you are doing?"

Last time I heard that I met the Ancient One. The bald woman was scary, but she at least had a gentler voice. The one that spoke behind me sounded like he meant business, and I had a pretty bad feeling about it.

[Through a specific action, the skill, Sense Danger, has been created.]

[Sense Danger(Passive) Lvl. 1/50: A natural survival instinct that allows the user to sense when something bad might happen. The higher the skill level, the earlier the user can sense danger.]

Yeah, I had a particularly bad feeling about this.

I didn't even turn around to see who or what was there. I opened a portal that led me a distance away on top of a building.

[Sense Danger has increased to Lvl. 2]

Unfortunately, it didn't seem I was safe. I was being screamed by my skill that I was still in danger.

"When I hunt, no prey escapes me."

Scary dude followed me through the portal and is still behind me, but since my skill had warned me of the danger, I was already casting my Magic.

I conjured a wall behind me and made it push away the scary dude while also using Create ID. I still didn't know if people close to me get transported with me to the Mirror Dimension, so I wanted to be safe.

Without even checking if the scary dude was there, I created another portal that led me to the other side of New York before I made one more there, leading me to my home.

There was no scary dude following me, and I was safe.

Okay, that was a bit too close for my liking. I have to be more careful if I ever do something like this again, but I did learn a thing or two.

First, Magic is OP. Like, seriously, portals are stupidly powerful. I wrecked the fight and caused chaos with just a few timely placed portals.

Ah, I was a bit sad I missed if Bobby kissed Scott or not. I gave him the perfect opportunity, but the scary dude had to appear at that moment.

Second, I need to get better at knowing my surroundings. This was the second time someone had snuck up on me. I did gain Sense Danger, but I don't think that's enough.

If there was a minimap, this would've been a lot simpler. I have to try to create a skill or ask the Ancient One if there is a specific Magic that could help me.

Getting a stealth skill would also help in making sure I don't get caught off guard.

Third, I need to get my physical stats up there. However, I don't want to use my stat points for them. I have to spend more time working on them, but I also have to spend time increasing my Magic skills.

Ugh, this is troublesome. I don't have enough time. Stamina Potions and energy drinks will help with that, but I can't keep drinking them indefinitely. I have to find another way to get more time.

Fourth, I need to get my Crafting up there. I haven't used the skill since I got it, and I haven't made anything for myself. Making a mask that would hide my identity and all that will be useful if I get too curious again.

Fifth, I need to get my level even higher. Even if I don't use the stat points immediately, I still gain 50 HP and MP for every 5 levels.

Again, for all of that, I need time. There must be a magical way for that. I will have to ask the Ancient One when I return to Kamaka-ta-what.

Since I still wasn't feeling tired, I left and started grinding the Zombie Legion while making plans for the near future.

Ororo descended next to Logan, who had been pushed off a building.

"What happened?"

The man, who had hair that looked like the home of a bunch of birds, let out an animal-like growl as he stood up.

"I found the one that interfered," Logan answered simply and looked around.

"You are not one to let others escape you easily," Ororo said, urging him to explain.

"I didn't let him escape," Logan snarled. He was supposed to be a predator, yet his prey had run away. He wasn't happy.

"He was a teleporter that moved trough portals, and he had an accomplice, someone that can make energy constructs. I followed him through a portal, then a wall of energy appeared in front of me and pushed me off. Look around, his accomplice might still be here."

Ororo nodded and ascended in the air to check if she could find anyone nearby.

On another building stood two women, one with blue skin and red hair, the other with silver hair and an aged face.

"Irene?" Mystique looked at her partner.

"I don't know. This wasn't supposed to happen. I saw two different possibilities for today's outcome, but this was not one of them," Irene said, knowing what Mystique was asking.

"I... did not foresee this. Whoever it was, it was someone who can hide from my powers."

"Do you think it was Essex?" Mystique asked.

"No, I still catch glimpses of outcomes when Essex is involved. This was someone else, someone who I can't see."

"Damn, Essex is already a pain in the ass to deal with, now there is another player in the game. It could still be someone on his side," Mystique said.

"It could, but I don't believe so. Essex is cruel, and so are those who work for him. If this was his accomplice, most of the kids would've died. This one just caused chaos."

---

I picked up the loot from the fallen Legion Zombie. 500$ plus a Stamina and Health Potion. Not the best, but not the worst. The two levels I got were far more worth it as I almost had 50 free stat points.

I wasn't sure where I'm going to allocate them, but it was going to be either Intelligence or Wisdom. I want both stats to pass 100 before I even start placing stat points into my physical stats.

I was starting to feel tired, but I drank a Stamina Potion and continued my grind.

My Spinning Mana Bullet passed 30, and I was able to fire 15 bullets with each cast. With High-Speed Calculation allowing me to cast it twice at the same time, that was a total of 30 bullets.

I was clearing the zombies in seconds. In less than ten minutes, the Legion Zombie made his appearance, and about twenty minutes later, he fell down.

That was enough to get me to level 24, and I had 53 free stat points. I decided to invest them in Intelligence first. The more MP, I had the more skills I can cast, and the higher my MP Regen gets.

[Skill, Medium Mana Capacity, has been created, as Intelligence increased over 101.]

[Medium Mana Capacity(Passive) Lvl. Max: MP is increased by 15%. MP regen increase by 15%. Mana-based skills cost 15% less.]

[Skill, Medium Mana Control, has been created, as Intelligence increased over 101.]

[Medium Mana Control(Passive) Lvl. Max: Mana-based attacks are 15% stronger. Magic related abilities increase 40% faster.]

Holy crap! I got two skills for that, and they were so good. Getting all my stats over 100 is a must! I have to do it as soon as possible!

With the skills MMC, MA, and the title, Apprentice Sorcerer, my magic skills will grow incredibly quickly. This will save me some time and allow me to focus on my physical stats for the near future.

I need to quickly gain 10 more levels to get my Wisdom over 100 as well. I don't think I will be able to do it by farming the Legion Zombie since it was giving me less and less XP. I was getting only a single level from it already, and I don't think it will last for long.

I didn't continue farming since I wanted to work on my physical stats now. The first thing on my list was dexterity. The speed at which Pietro moved left me a deep impression.

I also wanted to get a passive skill for that. No matter how much I ran, I didn't get a Running or Sprinting skill, but there must be something else. Parkour was the only thing I thought about.

I made an empty ID since I didn't want anyone to see me embarrass myself and got to running. I jumped over fences, rolled on the ground after landing, and climbed buildings for half an hour, and I was finally awarded for my efforts. I got 3 Dexterity, 1 Vitality, and the skill.

[Through specific actions, the skill, Parkour, has been created.]

[Parkour(Passive) Lvl. 1/100: The user is able to move swiftly and gracefully in complex environments. The flexibility of the user is increased. Movement Speed is increased by 2%.]

It wasn't the sheer speed skill I wanted, but it was more than enough since it should also synergize with Martial Arts. Good, I need more passives like that.

I continued doing parkour, trying to increase the skill, while also using my Eldritch Magic at the same time to conjure various constructs. Since I lacked time, I had to multitask as much as possible.

I also needed to raise Eldritch Magic since it's going to be the main skill that I use against the Skeletons.

While running, I also kept thinking about what else I could do with my Mana. The Sorcerers at Katara-what used Dimensional Energy to strengthen their bodies. I didn't want to do the same unless I was sure I can defend myself against those powerful Dimensional Beings, but I still had Mana. I should be able to do something similar.

I urged the magic within me to fill my body. I made it move in different patterns, trying to increase the strength of my body until I got what I wanted.

[Mana Strengthening(Active) Lvl. 1/100: Fill your body with mana to increase its physical properties. Strength, Vitality, and Dexterity are increased by 3%. Cost 150MP per minute.]

Yes! It only increased my current stats by 3%, but it was still only level 1. At 100, it will quadruple them!

The cost of 150MP was high, but my current MP regen was over 174 per minute. I can keep this skill at all times while also getting some mana back. Leveling it up should be easy due to the two skills and title.

I activated the skill, continued doing parkour, and used my Eldritch Magic at the same time. Whenever I got low, I sat down for a quick meditation session before continuing.

Holy crap! I think I'm on the road of becoming seriously OP, and I'm still only level 24.

I raised another level of Parkour before I returned home. Crafting was a valuable skill that I needed to raise. I was also in need of a better face mask.

Maybe I can even make myself a costume as well, but it's definitely not going to be made out of spandex! I refuse to wear that.

I need better materials, and the only place I think I could get them was from my Dungeons. Another thing on my list, but to do the higher Dungeons, I also need to get stronger.

Ahh, I need to do so many things, but I have so little time. Why didn't Gamer's Mind and Body make me not need sleep?

Wait... can I actually make a skill for that as well? Like an energizer or something, which reminds me, I also need a Healing skill. I wasn't sure how to do that. Hopefully, in Katata-what, there would be a book about it.

By the time I couldn't keep my eyes open, I had raised a lot of skills, and I was happy with my gains.
