Chapter 4- Left Home Again

At dawn, he woke up from a bad nightmare. This time the nightmare is different from his previous nightmares. It's the death of his new parents. He sat on the ground in Lotus Position. He started to meditate. He needs to strengthen his mind and body if he wants to find the killer.

He will become Batman again. He will wear his cowl again. He will protect the innocent again. To do that he needs to train as hard as possible. This world is not simple, here sorcerers walk among us without anyone knowing. And he does not even know if there is someone like Superman. He needs more information about this world. Only then he can become The Greatest Detective again. He does not know why he came to this world, but he will give his all to protect the innocents of this world.

There are always some evil people that walk among us. The man who killed his parents is an example. He was a professional killer. Maybe he was given a contract. But why would anyone want to kill his parents? This mystery he has to solve by himself as soon as possible.

His body is not fully recovered. There was too much blood loss. He refrained from doing any intense physical exercise. Just some basic yoga and some other flexibility training.

After a cold shower, he meets with Alfred to have his breakfast. After that, he booted up his computer to search the internet. In this information age, most of the basic information can be found on the internet.

After nearly 5 hours of internet surfing, he had a basic idea of this world. He is no longer ignorant about this world anymore. He also had a talk with Alfred about the Wayne Enterprises. The share value of the company is decreasing after his parents' death. Wayne enterprise is a company that researches and makes groundbreaking medicine. All he can do right now is buy out all the shares that are in the hand of different people. He instructed Alfred to do so.

After lunch, Bruce and Alfred went to meet with Katie. They came home after sunset.

For two months Katie was in the hospital. Bruce has started to retrain his body. The most important thing that happened in these two months is that he took the early graduation exam for high school. If he wants to make Wayne Enterprise a great company again, he needs to start a technology branch. He has much knowledge of technology from the future. Although he doesn't know how to remake the technology, at least he has some concept about them. After all, he had to repare them by himself when they are damaged. After a few research, there will be some results. To introduce those technologies he needs to patent those technologies in his name. And to patent those technologies he needs a good degree.

Another important thing he noticed that he recovers fast. After all those hard training and martial arts practice, he did not even have any sore muscles the next morning. After a good night's sleep, he is ready to go again.

To test his recovery rate he cut his palm with a knife. The injury will take a minimum of a week to fully recover for a normal healthy human. It took him 15+ hours. His recovery speed is more than 10 times the speed of a normal human. There was not even any mark. So this healing is not like the accelerated healing that flash had. It is more like all cells revert to the way they were before the injury.

But recovery from micro-tears in muscle also increases his strength and muscle mass. So his muscles do not revert to the past. There is no time element involved here. It is just super-regenerative ability. Maybe this is why his bullet injury healed fast. But can it heal bone injuries like broken bones? This will be a test he has to do later.

He was also recovering his memories. He took part in many company board meetings. With his direction company share is gaining value again. He even has to join a few press conferences.

Even though he looks 15 years old, his experience in dealing with company matters shocked the board members.

Today he is bringing his sister home. There will be a permanent nurse to take care of her, for as long as she needs. After everything is settled He will leave for four years to complete his studies. Even though he is going to a Prestigious University, most of his time will be spent researching new technologies that this world still does not have.

After lunchtime, Bruce and Alfred brought his sister back home. She is having difficulty walking right now. This will only be better after a repeated therapy.

Katie was really happy to come back home. Both of them could not join their parents' funeral. So after coming home the first thing they did was go to the Wayne Cemetery. Both of them stayed there for nearly an hour. Most of the time Katie spend crying in front of their parents' graves.

It's been 3 months since Katie came back home. Today Bruce is leaving home again. The last time he left home like this, he left to get the necessary training. But this time it will be to study.

Katie came to the front door to see off Bruce. She does not need a wheelchair anymore. But she walks slowly and very carefully.

Katie- "I will miss you. I don't know if I can handle the pressure from the company."

Bruce- "Don't worry, you will do just fine. Alfred is here to help you. And if there is any problem I will come as fast as possible. You also have to continue your studies. Otherwise, board members will criticize behind your back."

Katie- "Yes I know. I will try my best to do all I can."

After that Bruce left with Alfred in the Rolls-Royce towards Cambridge.

Bruce- "Alfred, you have two main tasks that must be done within these 4 years."

Alfred- "Yes Master Bruce. I will clear out that cave and fit it with all the most advanced equipment. As for the 2nd task, this will be a little hard. But I will try to find out what is it that Master Thomas was working on that got him killed."

Bruce- "I will leave it with your capable hands. Also, I want a team of bodyguards around my sister at all times, and another team of bodyguards to shadow them. There should be no connection between them in any way. There should be no past connection. So that no one can plot easily against her. There should be 3 teams of normal bodyguards and 3 teams of shadow guards."

Alfred- "Yes Master Bruce."

Alfred feels sad for Master Bruce, who had to become mature at such a young age. But this is life, and it is not fair.

The Rolls-Royce kept driving towards Cambridge. Bruce is going to Harvard University.
