Skye went back to her rental house and plopped down on her bed.

-

Despite being calm and serious during the time she was tricking Jasper Sitwell, Skye couldn't help but let out a sigh thinking how scared she was if HYDRA and SHIELD knew about what she did. Fortunately she was assured that if they found out about what happened, only Jasper would get blamed.

-

Her roommate Angela wasn't in the room due to her taking care of some personal matters.

-

After Skye relaxed she went to wash herself in the bathroom. Wiping her face with a towel, she started to stare at her reflection in the mirror. "What a beauty...." Skye muttered as she admired her new face. Spotless fair skin, sharp black colored eyes, silky black hair, and perfectly proportioned facial features, the perfect manifestation of a hybrid beauty.

-

Despite not knowing how to dress up like a proper woman, Skye didn't see that as a problem. Her predecessor was also not used to such girly dresses. "I might as well use a tuxedo or some formal shit in the future rather than a dress" She stated with a helpless smile.

-

As a former man who often watched gore movies, Skye might not have the problem that first time killers might experience if she needed to do some dirty work in the future.

-

Skye was still in her shorts as she wore a flexible sports bra and a plain white t-shirt. She sat on her bed and stared at the Obelisk infront of her while reminiscing about the memories of her predecessor.

-

The former Skye, a.k.a Daisy Johnson, was an orphan who experienced having to go through 4 different foster families. She was fortunate enough to have her foster guardians pay for her tuition when she started to attend school a few years ago.

-

However, the relationship she had with those foster guardians were akin to strangers. The only reason they paid for her tuition was because of the money they were provided with due to housing a child with a complicated family relationship.

-

Daisy Johnson faced a lot of problems and fortunately she was able to overcome them. Now that another soul inhabited the Original's body. It was Skye's turn to take over those problems.

-

After she finished scanning her predecessor's memories, Skye gently moved the bag away from the Obelisk she took out using some pliers.

-

Skye stared at the Obelisk quietly. The time has come to prove if she had an alien lineage that might allow her to touch the Obelisk without turning into stone.

-

Skye stood up and grabbed a sharp kitchen knife. If her finger started to petrify then she was determined to cut if off at all costs.

-

"Let's do this!" Skye tried to encourage herself to touch the Obelisk. Despite being a reader of those Marvel Comics in her past life, she did not know everything about the characters in this world. Thus, she was not sure whether her alien bloodline would help her in this situation.

-

Skye stretched her finger towards the Obelisk... 10 cm..... 5 cm..... 1 cm.... With a fearless look on her face, Skye pressed her finger against the Obelisk.

-

Skye subconsciously pressed her finger even harder against the Obelisk. This made her close her eyes in suprise and panic.

-

After a short moment of silence, Skye opened her eyes to check her finger's condition. It seems that there was no sign of petrification! This made her feel ecstatic! She then proceeded to place her whole hand on the Obelisk, yet there was no sign of her hand getting petrified at all!

-

"I knew it!" Skye exclaimed in joy as a wide smile emerged in her face.

-

She then grabbed the Obelisk with her right hand and started to shake it, yet there was no sign of it being activated. 'Does it require a ritual?' Skye thought

-

Skye just put down the Obelisk and layed on her bed as she tried to rummage through the comic memories she had in her past life, and it seems that she finally remembered something about Quake a.k.a Seismic Girl.

-

The situation was already different from that of the Original Series, right now Skye didn't have anyone to help her in unlocking her power.

-

Skye needed to set off to find an underground city which was located in a country known as Puerto Rico. That might be the only way to unlock her power using the Obelisk.

-

Going to Puerto Rico with only an electric shock device in hand was not favorable at all.

-

The chances of running into trouble was difficult to predict. Not having a decent weapon to protect herself was very troublesome too.

-

Considering the drug trading groups in Puerto Rico, protection was absolutely necessary just in case she would fall into a difficult situation.

-

Self-defense skills and guns is the best thing she needed in this trip to Puerto Rico.

-

Skye counted her savings and it turned out that there was only 900 dollars left. She temporarily gave up her plan on travelling.

-

Everything revolves around money. She could use her hacking skills in stealing from a bank, but that would be very hard considering the technology in this world and the fact that it might lead SHIELD to investigate her.

-

However, there was something she was very good at, and could potentially help her in earning enough money for the trip to Puerto Rico.

-

It was Programming.

-

A few days later, Skye took up a private job to help a company design somekind of data system. During the day she would attend class, and at night she worked as a programmer for the said company.

-

After a week of continuous programming, Skye was finally able to earn 3,000 dollors. Thus, she went to look for a local gun shop.

-

Rifles, shotguns, pistols, there were all kinds of guns inside the shop. It was also quite cheap considering that they reduced the magazine calapacity of each gun.

-

Skye had already made up her mind to buy a pistol instead of a big rifle. The only problem now was the strict rules for owning a gun.

-

The law in New York allowed one to own a long gun at the age of 21, but Skye was still 18. Waiting for 3 years is not a very good option for her right now.

-

Not to mention that even if Skye did buy a gun, she wouldn't be allowed to bring it when she rode a plane or a boat. However, there is always a way for everything.

-

Skye decided to practice a gun before deciding to buy a real one. What's the use of owning a gun when you don't know how to use it right?

-

She used a small amount of money to rent a pistol and 2 boxes of ammunition, Skye also rented a gun lane with 2 target papers.

-

Skye hesitated a bit before hiring a professional gun coach for 68 dollars an hour.

-

She continued to practice the way of the gun for half a month. Due to her alien lineage, it seems that her body's senses were superior to that of a normal person. Eyesight, reaction time, etc. She didn't know a lot about this since even her predecessor didn't participate much in combat arts.

-

Skye also had the time to fill in a form to own a pistol from a small time gun shop. It might sound illegal but there was no such thing when someone was desperate for money.

-

Skye didn't really need a coach to teach her hoe to shoot everyday. Thus, the amount she spent on her gun related activities did not surpass 1,000 dollars. Skye also had the chance to borrow X-ray equipment from one of her teachers. After using it on the Obelisk, it seems that the Obelisk was akin to a puff of air when seen through an X-ray. This made her feel relieved that she had one less thing to hide when going through airports.

-

Making sure that she had enough money in her pocket, Skye decided that it was the right time to travel. She said goodbye to her roommate and gave an excuse to her school that she was going to visit her parents, who she claimed to be located far away from here.

-

Skye wore black jogger pants together with a blue t-shirt and some sun glasses. She even wore a baseball cap to protect her scalp from sunlight. It took her a few hours to reach the airport and finally board a plane that was headed to Puerto Rico.

-

The flight took a little over 4 hours before it landed in the Puerto Rico Airport.

-

Skye first looked for a decent place to stay.

-

Here in Puerto Rico, the language they used was Spanish. Using her tourist privileges, Skye was able to find a cheap hotel that had several americans and other english people living in them too.
