Chapter 91: Pit of Darkness

Now, while Pharaoh was experiencing the death of his Father, James, through the eyes of the killer of the no less, the one responsible for this, Emma Frost, was currently snooping through his mind, trying to get a better understanding of Pharaoh and searching for secrets she could possibly use to her advantage since she knew such a chance like this was a rarity which will most likely never happen again.

While I was showing Pharaoh the memory of his Father's death, which on second thought might not have been the best idea given his strength since if he decided to go onto a rampage, I don't know if there is anyone who could stop him; especially since as I was reading his mind and learning more about him.

'So you've awakened a few new powers, freezing breath, heat vision, flight, and this aura thing; you're a monster, no doubt. A monster I'd much rather have as a friend than an enemy.' Mused Emma lightly as she saw the memories of what transpired in Serbia along with Sara, causing her to smirk.

'Only 14 and already getting it on? Well, that's none of my business, but I'll admit, Sara has quite the body; she would've been a popular stripper. I'm slightly jealous.' Thought Emma with a raised eyebrow as she watched Pharaoh and Sara having sex in the hotel, only for her to look around his mind and spot them doing it on the moon.

'So you can also not only survive in space, but so can people who are covered in your aura? Interesting.' Pondered Emma while smiling as she enjoyed the beautiful sight of the earth from the moon before diving deeper into Pharaoh's mind.

As I didn't have much time, I went deeper into his mind, and what would've been a blessing in most scenarios was actually a curse; Pharaoh's powerful mind gave him perfect memory, which made it slightly more challenging to locate the more important memories, and since I was on the time limit, this wasn't the best for me. Inwardly cursing my fortunate yet unfortunate luck, I skimmed through most of his memories while slowly traveling back in time through his mind, though while doing so, I began to feel pain in my arm, the same arm Pharaoh was grabbing.

While still looking through his mind, I opened my eyes and looked at my arm, which Pharaoh was progressively squeezing harder and harder, forcing me to wince in pain; however, I didn't say anything and stayed quiet. I didn't wish to distract him and possibly lose this rare opportunity, so I turned my body into diamonds, causing that pain to vanish instantly.

'This should hopefully be enough, and if it's not, I'll need to speed this up.' Mused Emma lightly as she glanced at the man kneeling before closing her eyes and entirely focusing on Pharaoh's mind.

Now that I was possibly on a much more dangerous time limit, I still continued to skim through his memories. Slowly, I was going back in time through his mind, reaching the ages of ten and nine in his memories. Eventually, I reached his adolescent ages, yet by then, I could feel the pressure of Pharaoh's hand squeezing around my arm, despite being made of diamond, the third hardest natural substance after vibranium and adamantium, which I, unfortunately, have none of.

'Don't tell me he's about to crack an arm made entirely of diamond?' Thought Emma with a slight frown, though if she were given time to properly read Pharaoh's mind, she wouldn't be thinking so little of his might.

Although I found it hard, he'd be able to hurt me while in this form, as I've never been physically hurt when in my diamond form; with the pressure continuing to increase, I also didn't put it past him; I've seen some of the things he's capable of doing, so it was a possibility. Searching through his mind even faster than before, I saw how he first met Gwen Stacy, then Peter Parker, and finally Jean Grey; yet within that short time frame, my arm was already in pain.

Ignoring the growing pain, I continued even further, watching as he and his family returned to Kansas and how he saved his Father from nearly being crushed to death, though by then, I was kneeling before him while grabbing my arm in pain and gritting my teeth.

"Ugh, he's going to break my arm." Muttered Emma through clenched teeth as she held her arm while trying to ignore the pain, which was proving difficult.

Feeling what felt like a human of infinite strength squeezing down on my arm, I searched through the remaining tidbits of his memories, reaching his very first day before I suddenly heard several cracks followed by a loud snap.

"Argh!" Said Emma as she grunted in pain from her broken arm, her voice acting as a wake-up call to Pharaoh, who suddenly snapped his eyes open and closed his mind, shutting Emma from further accessing it.

'W-Well t-that was fruitful. So you're an Alien Pharaoh, that's decent to know; now I just got to figure out how to use this to my advantage without threatening him.' Thought Emma, holding her broken arm as Pharaoh released his grip before focusing entirely on the detained man.

Hearing Emma grunting, I snapped my eyes open and closed the small gap I had made in my mental barrier; looking down, I released my hold on Emma before ignoring her entirely as I glared at my Father's murder in unbridled fury. Lunging forward, I ripped the man's collar off and grabbed him by the neck before slamming him against the wall. That collar must've been hampering his mutant abilities as I felt his neck heat up, yet I only squeezed harder; his pathetic attempt to save his life only angered me.

"S-Stop, I-I'm g-going to die." Said the man, dangling in the air while struggling to breathe as Pharaoh squeezed his neck.

Gnashing my teeth, I slightly eased up on his neck, allowing him to breathe, which was the complete opposite of what I wanted to do; I wanted to clench my fist with his neck in my hand.

"Why!?" Asked Pharaoh as he gritted his teeth and glared at the man in intense anger while tears threatened to stream down his cheeks.

"W-Why what?" Asked the man in slight fear and confusion as he looked at Pharaoh, who slammed him against the wall again, causing him to groan in pain.

"WHY!? Why did you kill my Dad in the alley!?" Exclaimed Pharaoh furiously as it took every ounce of his willpower not to rip the man in half with his bare hands.

Despite asking him why, I already knew why; I just wanted to hear him say it. I had seen everything transpire in his eyes; he killed my Dad simply because he was angry he wouldn't let him enter a club. My Dad, the one I love so much, was killed because of something so stupid and insignificant as clothes; this man ripped a piece of my and my Mom's heart out simply because of clothes. The more I thought about it, the angrier I got; I wanted to do more than merely kill him; I wanted to make him experience the same exact pain Mom and I felt when we learned of Dad's death, though unfortunately, I was confident no amount of physical torture will ever amount to what my heart was feeling.

"TELL ME WHY!?" Yelled Pharaoh angrily as he punched a hole in the wall right beside the man's head, causing the entire room to tremble.

"B-Because h-he d-didn't let m-me into t-the club." Replied the man, terrified at Pharaoh's display of strength.

Even though I knew why, hearing him say it felt slightly different; I didn't even know how to respond, so I just laughed.

"Heheheh, HAHAHAHA." Said Pharaoh, tears rolling down his face as he laughed, freaking both the man and Emma out.

Dropping the man, I turned around and walked away while laughing; I didn't know how else to express the anger flowing through my body right now. I've been angry before, but never like this. My arms were shaking in fury, and I wanted to destroy; I was even starting to get slightly scared of myself as I had an idea of what I was capable of if I went on a rampage; there was no one who could stop me.

For the first time in my life, I was terrified, and I didn't know what to do; despite all of my intellect, I felt like a lost child in a small boat in stormy weather, one wrong move, and it would spell the death of countless. As I was falling further and further into this pit of darkness, I felt a hand touch my shoulder, prompting me to look up and see Emma staring right at me with the affectionate look I'd never seen from her before.

"C'mon, Pharaoh, release all the stored-up emotions." Said Emma softly as she lifted Pharaoh up to his feet with her one arm and hugged him.

Feeling Emma's soft body, I instinctively wrapped my arms around her and rested my head atop her as I began to sob within her arms; for several minutes, I just stood there in Emma's embrace and cried my heart out, releasing all those pent-up emotions.

"You're not alone, Pharaoh." Muttered Emma softly as she rubbed Pharoah's back while he cried on her neck and hugged her even tighter.

'Haa, that was close; that could've been bad. Though, I got quite a lot out of it.' Thought Emma as she sighed in relief while looking at Pharaoh before slightly smirking.
