152 Chapter 151: Battle Of Manhattan Before It Happend?

Grunting in anger, I used Zod's body to vent some of my emotions as I continuously punched him in the chest before flinging him back towards the Black Zero, which had done a significant amount of damage by now; its leveled entire buildings thanks to the increased gravity surrounding it and its range only continues to get larger with each pulse.

Evading Faora attacking me from behind, I elbowed her in the face, causing her nose to bleed, before ruthlessly punching her right in her chest; however, I didn't allow her to go; I grabbed her ankle before she could be flung away, and spun her around in a circle, before violently slamming her onto the ground, causing the entire block I was in to shake. Leaving Faora in the human-sized crater for a second, I turned around, only to quickly bring my arms up to defend myself as I blocked Nam-Ek's attack, which forced me to skid multiple meters across the street while I dug my feet into the ground, eventually stopping myself.

Nam-Ek then flew right for me, though since he had just learned how to fly, he came charging at me as fast as he could, which I used to my advantage to kick him in the stomach, flinging him toward the Black Zero, and as I did so, Zod came flying back, his wounds healing rapidly under the light of the sun, while I heard Faroa emerge from her crater behind me.

'Tch, fucker's are so resilient; why couldn't it have been night? This would've made it so much easier.' Mused Pharaoh with a grunt, only to look to his left, blasting his heat vision at falling debris, slicing it in half, which then fell harmlessly right beside a fleeing civilian rather than outright crushing her.

Just as I looked back at Zod, he punched me in the face, flinging me back into the crowd of fleeing civilians, though I managed to hover just above their heads before I happened to harm anyone; following that, Faora grabbed me by my collar, only for her eyes to take on a soft reddish glow.

'Not at point black range; I'm not allowing that.' Thought Pharaoh as he covered Faora's eyes with his hands, causing his palm to be hit with two beams of concentrated plasma.

Using my other hand, I grabbed her short hair and forcefully pulled her head back, causing us to fly higher into the sky, though before we could get higher, Zod slammed right into my side as he hugged the two of us, forcing our direction back towards the ground, while Nam-Ek also came to help Zod and Faora.

'Dammit, we're leaving Manhattan!' Thought Pharaoh with an unsightly expression as he saw them speedily flying through the streets, nearly hitting several skyscrapers along the way.

With the trio flying me out of Manhattan and towards Brooklyn, the instant we flew over the water, I headbutted Faora before grabbing Zod and Nam-Ek by the neck, only to forcefully throw them in the water, followed by Faora right after them, which gave me a slight moment of peace.

"Sorry about that; I got a little occupied, Fury, so how long until I should expect that fucking missile?" Asked Pharaoh, using this moment of respite to catch his breath, which he didn't even need, but it was much welcomed.

"I can see that. Hopefully, that missile never makes it; there are already multiple fighter jets chasing after it, though if that fails, you should expect the payload in about 15 minutes." Replied Fury with a frown as he watched Tut floating over the ocean near one of the bridges connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn.

"15? Fuck, I can't tell if that's long or short. Can I talk to Barton?" Asked Pharaoh with a grunt of annoyance before frowning when he noticed the bridge to his left slightly trembling.

'Haa, it's just from the pulsing of the Black Zero; I thought they were attacking it.' Thought Tut with a sigh of relief, only for Zod, Nam-Ek, and Faora to come charging out of the water, flying right for him.

As we were close to the bridge, something I definitely didn't want to get damaged, I fought the trio of Kryptonians as I subtly moved away; I also kept my strength in check since they would quickly notice what I was doing if I didn't. However, it seemed I was still underestimating them; they were specifically born and trained to be a warrior; using one of their combo attacks, they flung me away, yet instead of chasing after me, they turned around and flew towards the bridge in the distance.

"Mother Fucker!" Said Pharaoh angrily as he speedily dashed after the three, quickly catching up to them before grabbing Zod from behind and slamming Faora with him despite his best efforts to stop, though his strength wasn't comparable to Tut's.

"I presume you're talking to those Kryptontians and not us, Kid." Remarked Stark as he intently fiddled with the space pod, making sure to be extra cautious when dealing with the circuitry, lest he unknowingly messes with the phantom drive.

"No, ugh, fuck, I'm not." Replied Pharaoh as he kicked Faora and Zod to the ground before chasing after Nam-Ek, who had just sliced the metal cables holding the bridge.

"G-Give me a moment!" Added Pharaoh with an unsightly expression as he grabbed Nam-Ek's head from behind before slamming him into the bridge's street.

Tossing Nam-Ek away from the bridge and all of its civilians did cause me to wonder why the hell there were still people on the bridge, though I didn't have time to actually question it since I heard various snapping and creaking. With Nam-Ek having cut the main cable connecting all the other smaller cables to the bridge, all the weight and stress went to one set of cables, though it seemed like one cable wasn't meant to hold up this entire bridge.

'This can't be good.' Mused Pharaoh with an ugly expression as he watched how the smaller cables started snapping one by one.

Before the bridge could collapse, I quickly flew to the large cable Nam-Ek had sliced off before grabbing it and flying toward the top. Standing at the peak, I connected the two separate cables and welded them together with my heat vision, though when I finished, even I could tell it was poorly repaired; taking a deep breath, inhaling all the air I could, I blew into the welded part of the cable, causing it to be covered in frost, which quickly turned to ice covering the entire thing.

'That should hopefully be enough for now; I just hope by the time the ice melts, everything is fixed.' Thought Tut as he looked at his work before turning around, only for Zod to punch him in the chin, filing him further away from Manhattan and toward Brooklyn.

"Tut, you still there?" Asked Barton as he looked at the phone on the ground, placed right between Stark and himself.

"Y-Yeah; how's the progress, Stark?" Replied Tut as he punched Zod away, only for Faora to take his place, pushing Tut back further with Nam-Ek assisting her.

"You've brought me a real piece of work, you know that? I hardly know what I'm even looking at. But, I thankfully don't need to understand what everything does; I simply need to find what's powering this thing, and I can do at least that much." Said Stark confidently as he used pliers to carefully remove a small device, which caused the space pod to glow brightly, prompting him and Barton to leap away out of reflex.

"Ugh, please tell me you two don't need help; I've already got my hands full with preventing these three from causing wanton destruction." Remarked Pharaoh with a frown as he slammed Zod into the pier below, only for Faora to try and sneak him from behind, something he's gotten quiet good at dodging.

Evading Faora from behind, I grabbed her arm before kneeing her in the stomach, the impact causing the water below us to ripple violently while the boats aggressively shook; tossing her into the air, I blasted the approaching Nam-Ek with my heat vision before doing the same to Zod, forcing him back into the water.

"How long?" Asked Pharaoh with an intense frown as he constantly flashed between the three Kryptonians, stopping them from entering Brooklyn.

"In a few minutes at most, I've already located the cables that transmit the power to the whole space pod; it's merely as simple as backpedaling, so I suggest you get those three you're fighting back to the spaceship." Replied Stark lightly as he and Barton silently agreed never to speak about the false alarm while he followed a small glowing white cable.

"Alright, got it." Said Pharaoh as he kicked Faora into Zod before doing the same with Nam-Ek.

Flying into the three, I wrapped my arms around them while pushing them back towards the Black Zero, and although they tried to resist by flying against me, that didn't work; their strength was too weak, though this did result in them attacking everything but me, which is precisely why I haven't bothered to do this.

'Fucking cowardly bitches.' Thought Pharaoh as he squeezed his arm, causing the three to momentarily stop while grunting in pain, only for them to continue attacking.

While I could continue doing this, I was forced to stop once we reached Manhattan again. There were simply too many people, and one single sweep of their heat vision could kill thousands.
