11 Visiting Blacksmith
"Hey! Natasha, let's visit one of the weapons stores. Who knows? We may find something useful." After eating our lunch I suggested Natasha.
"Huh! I don't think we would find something way better than this." She said, tapping her spear.
"This world has magic, Nat. We might find some magic enchanted items which work way better than normal weapons. They are sometimes used to do magic as well."
Natasha and I walked around the town for some time. We decided to look for a blacksmith and a bookstore. Then we spotted a market where fortunately a blacksmith was situated.
When we walked through the door, I saw weapons lining on one wall and armors lining on another. I was walking around the store looking at the armors and the weapons, I noticed a girl coming out of the back with a sword. She was covered in black smudges and soot. I can guess that this girl must be the blacksmith that runs this shop.
"Oh hello, I'm sorry; I didn't realize any customers came inside. Is there something I can help you with?" She said, smiling while looking at both of us. However, judging by her body language she doesn't seem like a talker. When she was talking, she was looking more at Natasha than me. So, I left the conversation to her.
"Sorry for the intrusion, lady. My name's Natasha Romanoff and this is Benjamin Tennyson We just arrived in town and signed up at the Adventurer Guild. My partner and I are looking for some starter equipment." After Natasha finished, I spoke up. "Can I see that sword in your hands?" She carried a sword that looked really familiar. I concentrated on the sword and its status popped up.

I took the sword in my hands and said, "I will take this sword. How much for it?"
"Are you sure, sir? This sword is very heavy." Indeed the sword was pretty heavy, but I think if I could get my hands on some magic books I would be able to fix this problem. Most important was its material. It was made of Orichalcum, one of the most powerful metals in some fantasy worlds.
"This is a very beautiful sword. It's true that it is heavy but it's very valuable."
"Is that so? I thought of it as a failure. I wanted to make something powerful and unique, but it turned out very heavy and nobody likes heavy weapons because it is very difficult to fight with. This sword is unusually heavy." She said with a sad tone in her voice. "Since, you liked this sword. I would only consider its material. It is made of Orichalcum and Mythril, so I would take 3 Gold Coins for it."
I nodded towards her and gave her 5 Gold Coins. Since I have so much at my disposal, I don't need to be stingy and I liked the sword. She thanked me for being generous. Then I asked her about a place where I can find enchantment and magic books and artifacts. And she offered to accompany us. But before then we bought ourselves some shoes, light armor and safety caps to cover our vitals.
I also became a little curious since we spend a long time in this shop but this lady didn't introduce herself. So, I decided to check with my Psychometry as I checked Natasha's before.

I and Natasha started at the Beginner rank. She is a Red-ranked adventurer. Guess, she must have been working hard.
"Forgive me, if I am being rude but can I ask you guys something?" Princess asked with a little hesitation in her voice. I just nodded towards her.
"You guys are from another world, right? I don't mean any harm to you. I-I have the <Appraisal> status, so I just saw your status." She said and hung her head, probably expecting us to be afraid or angry at her.
Well, I didn't expect this but since she had asked let's see. The truth of this world is completely different than what I had imagined. I thought the people of this world would be arrogant and would look for trouble but it seemed like I had been worried for nothing. The people of this world seem so peaceful. Even the guards at the gate, staff of the adventurer guild, and now this lady. She is asking politely.
"You don't need to feel bad about that. And yes, we arrived in this world yesterday due to an explosion of space magic. So, you are a Vampire Princess." I spoke those words which made her stiff. Judging by her reaction, my guess was confirmed. She kept her status as princess a secret.
"Anyway princess, I wanted some rare metals. Could you please bring me a few? About the size of a ball would be enough. And you don't have to worry about your secret, it is safer. We would definitely require someone to teach us the ways of this world until we find our way back." I saw that she was scared; probably she thought we would spill her secret. So, I changed the topic to calm her.
"Metals about the size of a ball, I have some leftover. Wait a minute." My trick of calming her seems to have worked and she ran inside the store and came back after a while with several small balls of different types of metal.
"Well, here we go. This one is brass, iron, silver, Mythril, Adamantium, Orichalcum, and this is Eezo." She said after putting all the balls on the table in front of us. I knew about brass, iron, and silver but need to know something about the other metals. So, I checked them using Psychometry.

<Orichalcum> (or Mountain Copper)
It is the strongest element of all the elements in the world of Aurarell. It can be used to create swords or shields. Visually, Orichalcum is similar to copper with its beautiful pink or red hue.
<Eezo> (Element Zero)
One of the most cosmic materials, Element Zero is created within dying stars and supernovas. It is used in technology, to generate the mass effect fields.
<Warpstone> (Witch Stone)
Warpstone is as beautiful as emerald but has much more practical uses: from producing charms for good luck, to weapons that create their own poison. Its regular consumption, however, leads to madness and death.
<Adamantium>
Adamantium is practically impossible to destroy. Still, this brilliant metal has its downsides – it's said to be very expensive, and it's impossible to reshape it.
<Mythril>
Mythril is a commonly used alloy, resembling silver but being stronger and lighter than steel.

"That will do." I paid her for the metals since some of them were very much rare except the Brass, Iron, and silver.
"Anyway, Princes, I wanted to know about the magic of this world. Can you tell us, where can we find books on magic including enchantment?" I wanted to know so much about magic specially enchantment. Natasha also muttered, 'you are acting very strange about the enchantment.' But I ignored her and paid attention to the girl, who I didn't why but, looked a little disappointed.
"Please feel free to call me Alice, Mr. Tennyson." She said while wiping her hands and armor with a wet cloth. I guess they don't have a bath in the shop.
"Well, in that case, then you can call me Ben."
"OK Ben, I think I can accompany you to a book store. I also wanted to go to the guild to find myself some quests."
"That would be amazing. We have also taken a delivery quest to the Capital of Belfast for tomorrow. Nat, what do you think?"
"Nope, I don't mind. It would be easy to have someone who knows this place well." She said that but I could feel, she was acting kind of strange in front of this girl. Guess, she is acting spy again.
"But wait, Alice. You are a vampire, right? Wouldn't the sun do something to you?"
"Oh! You don't have to worry about that. I am half-human and half-vampire, that's why I am immune to the sun. That's the reason I can blend with humans pretty well and I can survive on human food. OK, I gotta take my stuff and then we will go, I also have a book by my grandfather about enchantments that might be helpful to you. I will also get that for you." After saying that she ran into the store.
As she made her way inside, I turned towards Natasha and asked her about her why was she acting strange. She said, "Isn't that girl acting a little strange? We are supposed to be strangers and she is talking as if she knows us for a long time."
"Don't worry about that, sweetheart. It is due to my magical aura. Anodites are pure energy beings and loved by Life energy itself, therefore they create a calming and knowing aura around them. She probably feels protected around us. And remember, she is not human. Vampires and other creatures usually live in natural areas unlike humans so, they are more close to nature than humans."
"Hmmm! Wait what did you just call me?" She asked with red cheeks.
"What are you talking about? I didn't call you anything." I decided to play dumb. It also helped to calm her down she immediately forgot about the girl and became embarrassed like a little girl. Guess, she doesn't look like a lady. Since we arrived and evolved due to absorbing that strange energy. Both of us looked like 16 years old. Her curves also decreased a little. Only our height didn't change but her skin was much smoother, like silk. She was looking pretty thin now. But not weak, she was more fierce than before.
"No! You definitely called me S-Sweetheart." She blushed pretty badly and looked down.
"Oh!? I didn't call you that. Do you want me to call you that. I think I can do that."
"N-No that isn't w-what I mean."
Then I noticed Alice coming back to us, so I decided to stop teasing Natasha for now.
"I am also planning to go the Capital City soon. Can I also come along with you guys? I don't have any friends in this town and I don't have any relatives." She said while we make our way together outside.
"If you want to come with us, then what about the shop?"
"No, that isn't my shop. I just come here once in a while to see my uncle. He got married a few weeks ago so, I was planning on leaving for the capital since the pay for the work is a bit decent there. You can also do a lot of work as compared to this town."
Then we were walking on the way and visited many shops. Alice also told us things about magic in this world. The magic system of this world is based on the user's affinity for certain aptitudes, or abilities over a certain element. There are seven elements that one can have an aptitude for Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, Dark, and Null.
The aptitude for certain elements can be discovered by using small shards of magic stones (spell stones) of different colors, each element having a different color stone. If a person chants a spell while holding a magic stone, and the magic stone reacts, then the person has an aptitude for that element (excluding Null, which everyone has)
I cannot help but remember a certain anime I have watched when I was back in my own world, before my transmission. [In Another World with A Smartphone], was based on a Japanese light novel series written by Patora Fuyuhara. The main character, Touya Mochizuki is accidentally killed by God. As an apology, God allows him to be resurrected, but he cannot be send him back to his old world, he is instead transferred into a fantasy world along with a single special request. Touya uses his request in order to bring his smartphone into the new world with him, which God modifies so that it could be charged with magic.
If my guess proves right, then I believe I could be able to use any magic since Anodites are born of magical energy. But I think I should test it before saying anything.
According to Alice, Aptitudes also have intensity. The more intense one's aptitude is, the more powerful his/her spells are.
As Natasha said, I was really acting out of character and bought every type of book I could find on magic. Even Alice asked me why I need all the books and I said I need them for research purposes.

What the hell? Why is my status changing so much? It wasn't long since I checked my status and now that is totally different, like if I am seeing someone else's status. The Osmosian ability seems to have merged with Life Energy Manipulation and evolved into this; [Anodic Osmosis] seems like the combination of Anodite and Osmosian abilities. I should ask Professor Paradox if I ever met that guy again.
"What happened, Ben? You seem like you have seen a ghost." Natasha asked me when she noticed my pale face. Alice was also looking at me.
"Actually, there is something wrong with my STATUS. It is changing every hour. I checked it in the morning, it was different. And now it is different."
"That's probably because your body is absorbing mana at a very rapid pace. As a vampire, we can sense how pure someone's blood is. And your body is full of energy, though I couldn't sense any blood smell from you. Vampires mostly lose their senses when they smell blood for so long. But you don't smell at all. Your body seems like a whirlpool of mana." Alice spoke her thoughts. I know from some fantasies that most newborn vampires can't control themselves when they sense blood around.
"More likely a black hole of energy I suppose," Natasha interjected. Then Alice asked what a black hole was and she started explaining all about physics and astronomy. But Alice's explanation gave me a little clue. Anodites are pure-energy beings. They survive by absorbing energy which they absorb from the surrounding life-forms. In this world, everything works on magic. So, the density of magic is higher and denser than that of our world. The more magic my body absorbs the more is it becoming powerful.
Now, I need to find enchantment magic as soon as possible. If I can enchant my Ultimatrix and stop it from being influenced by the atmospheric magic, then it might work. Then I would leave one of my clones here since my intelligence has risen to another level, it wouldn't be of much trouble.
When I came out of thought I saw both Natasha and Alice getting together well. She was laughing and joking. Natasha was mostly talking about our world's technology and everything. And Alice talked about her vampire kingdom and the magic of this world.
"Hey girls, I decided to name the sword, Durendal. How does that sound?" I said while looking at the group.
"It sounds exactly like the sword from Myths. Especially, because its golden hilt and the white blade seem like a slice cut out of the moon. It matches the description of that sword." Said Natasha.
"Yeah, but that's not the only reason I named the sword, Durendal. The swordIt is said to have come from the French word dur-, meaning "hard", or derived from durer, meaning "endure", for the blade was unbreakable and this sword has an enchantment of <Indestructible>."
"More importantly, this sword has <Lightning Magic> enchanted on it. I think it is a perfect copy to counter Thor's Hammer."
"Whoa! That sounds good. Imagine the look on Thor's face when he sees the sword."
On this short trip of ours, I managed to get shards of magic stones; red, blue, brown, green, yellow, violet, and transparent. The transparent belonged to the Null magic category. Red belong to the fire element, blue water, brown earth, green wind, yellow light, and violet for darkness. I also got a whole lot of books. Even the shop owner asked why I needed so many books and I just said that I am making a library in my house that's why. And he happily complied. I spent around 25,000 gold coins on buying books. I wanted to buy more but there were no more books. I also managed to find books on different fighting styles, history, cooking, potions, apothecary, artifacts, enchantment, engineering, spell creation, and summoning magic.
That was all quite amazing but I am looking forward to the Capital.
Once I put all the books in my <Inventory> I started copying one by one into my mindscape, using my newly found abilities. Before evolution, I could also use these powers but now, it was much easier and didn't require much attention.
Most spells of elemental follow a certain pattern. Each spell consists of four parts; calling, element, description, and name. Calling requires the phrase as; 'Come forth'; then for an element, the name of the element is called as, 'water, fire, wind, or dark, etc.' for description, the function of the spell is defined as what the spell does? Lastly, the name of the spell is uttered as, fire-spear, thunder-spear, etc.
One example of such a spell is given in the book as; "Come forth fire! Hail of Red Stones Ignis Fire!" to create a whirl of fire around a target. If memory serves me well, then I guess Linze from the anime used a spell as bubble boom. I don't remember the exact spell, but if I combine some of my knowledge with this pattern I could recreate that effect.
After finishing with the books; we also bought a carriage since we will need it to leave for the Capital. Fortunately, only Alice knew how to drive the carriage. Then I left both of them in a restaurant and opened a portal for my soul-space. When I entered, the soul-space, it was exactly the same as the green plain I saw when I arrived in this world along with Natasha. It was broad daylight inside though I couldn't find a light source like the sun it was still bright inside. I noticed that the light seemed to shine from all directions because no shadow was forming. Then I figured that I could create anything by using my mana. I also took out the house I made back in the forest and put it there. I spend around an hour there and expanded our house and surprisingly, it felt much easier to create and build after the evolution of my skills. I also created a barn for the horse and carriage. And don't even ask about the house. I expanded that to the level of a mansion. Once I unlock the Ultimatrix to work in this world, I will give it a futuristic look like Wakanda.
Wait! Let's check the Ultimatrix here. Then I immediately took out the Ultimatrix and checked it. And surprisingly it was working inside the soul space. I couldn't hold myself straight due to happiness. I wielded the Ultimatrix and created three clones using; Echo-Echo and left the two inside the soul space while one came out of the soul space. I checked to know if the clones would disappear after coming out, but they didn't Ultimatrix went offline but the clones existed.
Then we made our way towards our inn, Alice booked a single room for herself while I and Natasha slept in a single room. I can't help wonder what would tomorrow, it would be much better if I encounter someone like royalty or nobility. Like Touya did while traveling. Let's see what the future has in store for us.
