6 Chapter 5: The Broken Soul

Martis defeated world by world and killed thousands of monsters. His body became so numb because of the pain inflicted by his opponents.

He reached a castle-like palace and door was wide open, he enters the palace and looks around.

"I'm so hungry, are there any foods in this world?" Martis rhetorically question himself, he found a huge table full of foods in front of him.

"Welcome, warrior from the place called Gehénnman. Are you here to eat these delicious foods?" A strange man asks Martis while showing the variety of dishes.

"No."

"Then why are you looking at it like you want to eat it?"

"I have my suspicion that these are poisonous."

The strange man snorts and looks at him.

"Do you want me to eat these? You can choose whatever you want me to eat. Go ahead."

Martis points out the foods with vegetable in it, he looks at the strange man as he picks up the said food and eat it. And nothing happen.

"See? You can trust me. Eat all you can brave warrior."

Martis looks at the strange man and walks closer to the table, as the man smiles at him Martis takes out the sword he took from his opponent Freya and slash the table in half.

"You can't fool me, your illusion will never work on me.

The table full of foods disappears and the strange man laughs hysterically.

"They are right, you are not dumb. This fight will be interesting!" The strange man snaps his fingers and the illusion that surrounds them also disappears.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Harley the 1500 world's Deity. This is my World, the World of Illusion!" Harley then sanps his finger again, and the monsters behind him appears as if they are a hundred men.

"Hmp, illusion? you're underestimating me." Martis wields the sword and fights the monsters.

"Oh I am not, it's actually the opposite." Harley smirks and snaps his finger once more. This time, he disappears.

The monsters are attacking him consecutively with their sharp claws, Martis is barely holding on and he's fighting back but his attacks are just passing through their bodies, Martis got hurt by the attacks of the monsters.

"Tss, this is quite bothersome."

"You can't hurt them, but they can hurt you warrior! I have no weaknesses here! You can't win!"

"We'll see about that." Martis continuously fights the illusions and struggles. Harley while he cannot be seen is laughing while clapping.

"You're too confident in your own words aren't you? You're just tiring yourself!"

"Really? I found myself just being me. I'm strong you know?" Martis charges up his swords and jumps up, he then lands on the ground creating a shockwave from his swords, making the monsters disappears.

"Now then, show yourself you coward!"

"I'm an illusionist, my job isn't to fight you in close combat. You should know that already. Now for the fun part!"

Harley reappears and then he clap once. An awkward silence surrounds the battlefield.

"Where is the fun part?" Martis finds himself confused about what the illusionist did.

"It's happening." Harley smiles and walks closer to him. Martis runs toward Harley and attacks him but Harley just easily dodges everything he does.

"I'm not done yet!" Martis throws the sword to Harley and rushes forward, he quickly appears behind Harley's back and kicks his back while stabbing his heart.

"Ah!" Harley shouts in pain and coughs out blood.

"H-how?"

"I told you, I'm strong." Martis smirks, and then Harley's body disappears out of knowhere and another Harley appears behind him. Martis senses him and jumps forward.

"I thought I killed you?"

"I told you, I have no weaknesses here. Hahahaha!"

"Gah!" Martis held his head and he knelt down, the pain is none like the other he felt before.

"Oh, the illusion is working! This is brilliant!"

"HA, HA, HA, huff. What the hell was that?"

"That's my power, Mugen Genkaku! You will be in this illusion forever, I will break your soul and your body until you die!"

"Ghn, I can't let this happen. I can't die here." Martis slowly losing his consciousness, and his eyes are closing.

"Die proudly warrior, You have fought well. I believe that this is the end, hahaha!"

Harley laughs hysterically, Martis' blacked out and faints.
