5 Chapter 4: The World of Pain

Martis finally Defeated the guardian of the World of Reality, Faramis. He enters the gate and saw a lot of monsters lurking in the corner, looking at him like a delicious meal.

"Three Thousand Worlds, this pressure is not a joke. I can sense a lot of monsters. I should better get going."

(Flashback)

"Starting now, you will face thousands of monsters Martis. Since you made the gate open, it's my defeat."

"It is, but I will let you go Faramis. I learned a lot from this." Faramis was shocked from Martis and he snorts.

"Well, you opened the gate so that's not a surprise. Then I will be on my way, your father will be proud of you."

"Yeah."

Faramis then leaves the Three Thousand Worlds, and Martis also went on his way.

(End of Flashback)

Martis walked a long way, he reached a place he was not expecting.

He looks around the surroundings, a lot of trees are around him and a river flowing with water. It's like a beautiful forest, he can't believe what he is seeing.

"What is this? It's so peaceful."

"Welcome, to the World of Pain young one." Martis turns around and see a woman with a long sword and a shield.

"Who are you?" Martis asks the woman in front of him, but she did not answer and walks closer to him. Martis ready himself for a fight.

The woman jumps closer to Martis and swing her swords quickly but Martis dodges all of her attacks.

"Tch, she's fast." He focuses on his body just in case the woman strikes again, but the woman pins her sword into the ground and smiles at him.

"Gah! Ghn!" Martis bleeds a lot of blood out of his body and his body goes down.

"Wh-what did you do?!" Martis tries to stand up but he can't, the pain he's feeling is unbearable.

"Nothing, I only moved my hand that's all." The woman walks closer to him.

"Is this the King of Ashuras? You're nothing like the former king."

"Wh-who are you?"

"I'm Freya, one of the guardians of Three Thousand Worlds. and this is my world, the World of Pain. Unlike that old fool Faramis, I don't have any cheesy advices to help you grow, my job here is to kill you."

Freya then picks up her sword and looks at it for a moment. Martis slowly stands on his feet, but he is holding his left arm because of the cuts.

"Oh you can still stand up? Haven't you had enough pain? I'll give you more, I'm not selfish."

Freya quickly runs toward Martis and swiftly uses her foot to kick him but he instantly dodges the attack Martis tries to grab her feet but he is fast to dodge him. Freya steps back for a moment, looking at her sword once again and looks at Martis.

She starts jumping from one side to another, she is so quick that Martis is struggling to keep up. When suddenly Freya appears in front of him and strike Martis with her sword, but Martis jumps high enough to dodge it and he quickly grabs Freya's armor and destroy it by using his knees.

"What?!" Freya jumps away from Martis, she looks at her broken armor and remove it from her body.

"You're going to regret breaking my armor!"

Her eyes widen and quickly strikes Martis' body with her swords, it's so fast but Martis managed to dodge the attacks but then he got hit by her kick on his damaged arm.

"Ngh!" Martis' went down on the ground rolling, he is in pain. Freya lands and pins her sword into the ground once more.

"GAAAAH!" Martis felt the consecutive pain she delivered in him.

"That pain, the longer you dodge my attacks the more pain you'll get from the receiving end. That pain is now your weakness!"

Martis stood up for a second time, just barely breathing. He stares at the woman and when blinks she suddenly disappears.

"Where'd she go?" He started to look around when suddenly Freya appears again in front of him.

"This is your end!" She swings her sword targeting Martis' head but then a fast movement grabs her arms.

"Wh-what?"

"This is my end? Who are you to decide that?Pain is now my weakness? Who are you to decide that?"

Martis' power surges around his body, making Freya's body paralyzed because of fear.

"Wa-wait, le-let's talk about this!" Martis breaks her arms and she let out a loud shout of pain.

"AHHHHH!" Martis then grabs Freya's sword and looks at her, he suddenly appears in front of her with a sword on her head.

"Die." Martis swings the sword cutting the guardian's head off. He went silence for a moment staring at the woman's dead body.

"Pain never fear me, and so were you." says Martis. He then see a bench, he sits down to rest his body and watches the surrounding peacefully.
