Jiang Cheng, a core disciple of the Sunfire Sect from the Five Element Region. He is one of the talented individuals that have been abducted by Xiaosheng slaves.

Jiang Cheng junior/senior brother and sister were injured and some of them died because of the abduction. But what bothered him the most is his master, he died protecting the sect and him. He didn't know the name of the elder who killed his master but he knew his face clearly.

He engraved it in his mind and heart. He remembered it as clear as day. How his master died and his last words before death.

His only wish if he ever survive and fulfill the conditions of this predicament is to kill the man who killed his master.

'No. I am going to survive and kill that man with my own hands.' he thought as he resolve himself and continued to cultivate. He is outside, sitting cross legged at the green grass while the moon shone on his face.

Suddenly a figure of a female walk out from the dark forest. She is Hou Rouyan, one of the inner core disciple of Sunfire Sect and his friend.

She spoke calmly, "Can't sleep senior brother?"

Jiang Cheng lightly hum for affirmation, she took a seat next to him. "Senior brother...what do you think will happen tomorrow?"

She spoke in uncertain tone. She remembered what happened in the sect. The invaders forcefully entered the sect and took them but the elders fought back thinking they can resist them but the result was hard to accept.

They were beaten badly, even their sect master was force to his knees. They were taken to this place to partake in a competition.

But the sect master gave them a mission, and that is to survive and win the competition.

Jiang Cheng opened his eyes and open his mouth to speak. "It doesn't matter what will happen tomorrow. We just need to increase our strength and win this."

His voice is laced with conviction and desire. Conviction to win but every geniuses have desire. The desire to rise and be revered by countless people.

He closed his eyes again and started meditating again. Seeing his actions, Rou Houyan smiled lightly and took her leave with a small goodbye.

She also needed to prepare for the upcoming competition tomorrow.

Not only her, but the other geniuses that have been abducted are also preparing. Some recieved a help from other people while others don't.

While the children, they do nothing except sobbing and crying loudly. No one paid attention to them. Even if they are talented, their strength is low. There is nothing that can strengthen a person overnight. Even if there is, a backlash of it would be too much.
