Behind the scenes thoughts on the creation of this novel

Edit: I reworded this a little to reflect my current changes. I didn't want to create another useless aux chapter so I will mention this in the upcoming chapter's author notes.

Hello,

This novel is based primarily around technology with detailed combat scenes combining both fluidly. I don't intend for anything like "you have +2 power levels? damn! if only I had +1 more power level, then I wouldn't lose to you!" or "damn, now that he has attached that to his weapon, it is now superior to my weapon!" I want combat to feel smart. I want decisions to feel rational. I expect tactics to counter tactics.

Now, I know the title changed from Martial Technovator to Martial Techno-mancer. Based on some feedback, Techno-mancer is composed of familiar words that explain the concept of my novel a little more. Technovator.. would take some creativity to realize what it means, but it was originally supposed to be Innovator - meaning someone who innovates, but I replaced inno with techno, meaning someone who creatively uses tech. However, ultimately, techno-mancer and the new synopsis makes more sense according to my feedback.

The novel uses real world concepts that are related to the field of technology, but it is largely a sci-fi/technology fantasy novel. If some things don't make sense, I am literally making them up as I go to fit my novel.

Some other things I've come to realize from reading comments for various novels that I'm taking into consideration when writing this are:

1. Quality > release rate - People are willing to wait for a chapter if it's good. I'm depending on the you, the reader, to tell me if you think my chapters are good if you decide to stick around.

2. If the pace is too fast, no development happens. If the pace is too slow, you wonder when the story is going to get to the good stuff. I'm trying to keep a pace in the middle. I'm depending on the readers who find this novel interesting to give me their comments if they think I should go faster or slower

3. Character development is crucial and random actions that do not align with a character are immersion breaking - I'm trying to make meaningful characters.

I hope that if I ever diverge from this and you were enjoying the story, to let me know and I'll correct it.
