32 Unlucky!

Wang Xue was running on the ground without stopping, he had taken out Fenrir from his sword and made him rest inside his spirit lake for now. Fenrir had used up the spirit energy that he had collected for himself and had lost the strength to manifest, although he had also use some of Wang Xue's own spirit energy Fenrir was almost drained out by the quick fight earlier.

"I better let Fenrir recover first before leaving this place." Wang Xue mused, before this, he had been planning to find the exit out of this place as soon as he could but now there were two things that are stopping Wang Xue on continuing forward.

One was to let Fenrir recover and the other was to break through the next level. His strength when compared to people who entered the Serpent's Realm can be considered in the very bottom of the group and if he were to fight someone who's at level 5 of Jade Palace realm Wang Xue would most likely lose.

Wang Xue frantically tried to find a suitable place for cultivation his spirit energy was about to be drained, feeling tired from the previous tiresome fight… parrying of arrows, before he knew it Wang Xue found himself running in the direction of a frozen lake, 'A lake at this place?' he thought.

Even though Wang Xue wanted to go on further the lack of spirit energy stopped him from doing so, sitting down in front of that frozen lake Wang Xue started setting up the only spirit formation that he knew and as he was about to finish the spirit formation Wang Xue once again found himself contained inside a much smaller version of the spirit formation that he creates.

"This spirit formation may be a little something that I was somewhat able to create by using my knowledge of runes but this thing just may be my most used skill since coming here, this is convenient when I need to cover myself and hide a little, maybe I'll call this formation "Shroud"."

Naming is not something Wang Xue usually does especially when it comes to skills and techniques that he came up within an instant, but seeing how Shroud might have a potential Wang Xue could not help but give it a simple one.

Wang Xue sat in the middle of the frozen lake, as he sat there quietly Wang Xue sent out his senses and scouted a bit farther around the area and checked if there were people or demonic beasts lurking around.

Wang Xue heave a sigh of relief upon confirming that there was no one around the area, well he was right and wrong for the only being around was a little creature that was hiding in the shadows. It was the same creature as before, the being that followed Fenrir and Wang Xue earlier but now even Wang Xue was unable to detect it.

In a white tree 100 meters away from Wang Xue a strange white cat was constantly purring and playing with its own whiskers as it watches Wang Xue gather the spirit energy around him, the little white cat continued watching without much care that is until Fenrir came out and hanged over Wang Xue's head.

The image of Fenrir was still as vague as before only showing a black shadow that seems translucent and didn't carry any weight, but when the cat saw this its ears immediately perked up and its eyes gleamed with a beautiful radiance.

Behind its eyes were curiosity and hope, however, despite its intense curiosity on Fenrir and Wang Xue the white cat did not move an inch from where it sat instead it turn around and watch out for people and demonic beasts who plans on going towards this direction, it had used a lot of energy just to lead Wang Xue to this place so the cat would naturally not want anyone to intervene with Wang Xue's cultivation.

Continuing his watch the white saw two cultivators running in high speed, one of them was a level 5 Jade Palace realm cultivator while the other was a level 4 Jade Palace realm cultivator, seeing them running towards the frozen lake the white cat meowed and for some reason the two men changed their direction all of a sudden like nothing was wrong.

This scene of the little white cat meowing happened a few more times, it didn't let anything and anyone passed 100 meters around his watch.

Wang Xue sat inside his spirit formation without any kind of problem, he already checked his meridians and confirmed that he didn't damage them from overusing it and he had confirmed that Fenrir can still store a limited amount of spirit energy inside his tiny little body, the only thing that was considered a problem was the internal injuries that he suffered.

But thankfully Wang Xue still has the Fiery Ice Flower that inside his body so he didn't have much of a problem in this matter.

Inside Wang Xue's storage bracelet was the Autumn Iceroots that he had literally risked his life to get, it still pained him to ran away with just this little part but he had to do so in order to survive, 'If I ever find that person I will, hehe.' Wang Xue had clear hate for that person in his heart now after doing that to him earlier.

He was only able to get about 30 percent of the whole Autumn Iceroots, although that doesn't sound bad as dying like the others Wang Xue was looking forward to getting the whole thing and blast through level 4 of the Jade Palace realm.

The Autumn Iceroots holds pure spirit energy and it wasn't just pure it was also vast it was a Peak-Human Category treasure after all. Wang Xue didn't take out the Autumn Iceroots and first aligned his state of mind to tranquility and tried to set his body the best possible condition.

Wang Xue's mind drifted and entered the Golden Pagoda and as always he did the same thing as he had always done before, he absorbed the spirit energy around him and purified them using his Golden Pagoda.

But, Wang Xue did not have to purify them all that much as the spirit energy around was already pure, even the coldness in the White Scales Forest was not that aggressive and active making it much easier to cultivate and not having any chance of dying by having his meridians being frozen by the cold and freezing spirit energy.

Time passed and before Wang Xue knew it was already four hours had already passed by, at this point of time Wang Xue had already finished filling up his whole body with spirit energy, and as for the internal injuries he Wang Xue was able to heal it completely without any problems.

The Fiery ice Flower that he was supposed to use as cultivation resources turned out to be a healing herb instead.

'What a waste of good resources.' Wang Xue grumbled as he drew out another portion of the Fiery Ice Flower, using that portion to revitalize his body Wang Xue opened his eyes in the physical world and with a flip of his hand an azure colored cut part of the Autumn Iceroots appeared from thin air.

Wang Xue held out his right hand and took the Autumn Iceroots, seeing the little piece in front of him Wang Xue's heart twitch a little bit and started thinking how unlucky he was when that person appeared with all those bloody arrows.

The 100-years-old Jade Lotus that cost him to become enemy with the whole Province the Fiery ice Flower that became a medicinal herb because he always fought and suffer injuries mostly because he pushes himself too hard and what once a whole Peak-Human Category treasure turned to a little part from its original size, Wang Xue could not help but think if he has a particular bad luck concerning spirit herbs.

Wang Xue's heart was filled with hate to his own bad luck, taking the Autumn Iceroots Wang Xue swallowed it whole without any kind of problem and the chilling spirit energy inside the Autumn Iceroots burst inside his mouth and into his stomach.

The pure spirit energy that it contained began seeping into his body and started to continuously circulate inside his body. Unlike the other spirit herb that he had gotten the pure spirit energy inside the Autumn Iceroots was gentle despite how much trouble it creates when it is about to reach maturity.

"What a nice feeling." Wang Xue praise as he begun the circulation of the spirit energy, his level was almost at the peak of the second level of Jade Palace realm, however, feeling the amount of spirit energy the Autumn Iceroots possesses Wang Xue started thinking that it might have enough spirit energy in order to break through.

"Nothing ventured nothing discovered." Wang Xue didn't hesitate and drew out the full power of the Autumn Iceroots, his Golden Pagoda glowed in a bright color and the amount of spirit energy coming in directly shot his cultivation to peak level 2 of the Jade Palace realm.

Wang Xue connected his senses to his storage bracelet and also made the spirit pills inside be absorbed into his Golden Pagoda. Shining bright the second layer of the Golden Pagoda showed the sign of extending another layer.

A vague image of the third layer appeared, however, it was still transparent showing the amount of spirit energy was not enough to build the next layer. Wang Xue circulated his energy frantically and the pure spirit energy from the Autumn Iceroots was being drained with high speeds.

The third layer started to show vividness and take form, as it did Wang Xue's forehead was covered with sweat despite the cold temperature around the place.

"One more push, Ha!" Wang Xue was already touching the barrier of the current layer and the next, carrying an intense pressure of the pure spirit energy Wang Xue was quickly draining the Autumn Iceroots and the spirit pills inside his storage was about to run out.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Cracking sounds were heard from inside his body as the next level was reached the next level and the next layer were formed which glowed with beautiful golden light.
