12 Chapter 12: Adventurers Guild

"Well, let's first start with this." and out of nowhere again, 4 black colored bracelets suddenly appeared out of thin air. The 4 bracelets were casually placed above Jean's palm, he then passed them onto Grey "Here."

After Grey caught the 4 bracelets, his arm sunk and he frowned while looking at it with surprise.

"Each of those weighs 50 kilograms, put each one of them to your wrists and legs." said Jean nonchalantly.

Grey just looked at Jean and said "What if I don't?"

Jean just smiled and suddenly disappeared from where he was standing and

BAM!

Jean punched Grey in the stomach causing him to spat out a mouthful of blood. He then grabbed him by the hair and smashed his face into the ground repeatedly.

When Lumiere saw this and was about to help Grey, she found out that she suddenly can't move, and can't circulate mana.

Jean then lifted up Grey by the hair to look at his face and asked "So will you follow or not?"

Grey's face was now covered with blood and his nose broken. Grey spat out blood at Jean's face but Jean dodged it and said "your disobedient huh"

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Jean then smashed his face a few more times, stronger than the previous ones, and asked "how about now?"

Grey couldn't resist, he felt that some strange force was preventing him from moving. Grey just looked at Jean with anger but didn't say or do anything, he knew that he couldn't go against him.

"Good." Jean said as he released Grey. At the same time, Lumiere could now move, she then got to Grey's side to help him up and placed her right palm above Grey's face.

Her right palm suddenly emitted a green and gentle light, Grey's face then recovered after a short period of time.

"The heal skill huh, that's pretty useful. I can beat you guys all I want." said Jean while smiling.

Grey looked at Lumiere with surprise before putting on the 4 black bracelets on his wrists and legs.

"Okay then, the two of you will be traveling with me from now on!" said Jean with a bright smile.

Grey and Lumiere had ugly expressions when they both saw Jean's smile.

Grey and Lumiere then followed Jean towards the Clear sky kingdom.

They were traveling on foot, so Lumiere was forced to keep up with Grey and Jean. But Jean made sure to travel at a speed that Lumiere could keep up with.

When Lumiere and Grey were at a distance between Jean, Grey asked Lumiere who Jean was.

Lumiere has a serious look on her face as she answered "Exalted Fist Jean, He is someone that even the Emperor has to pay respects to, I was told that he is one of the strongest humans alive, someone who stands at the pinnacle of this world…"

"Why, thank you" said Jean as he turned his head and looked at them.

Grey was surprised, he then looked at Jean while exuding mighty battle intent as he smiled maniacally.

When Jean felt Grey's battle intent, he just smiled slightly.

"Oh yeah, who was that small monkey just now?" Grey asked Seraphim while they were still traveling.

"a God." Seraphim answered. "so Jean was also reincarnated?" Grey asked Seraphim again.

"No, he's blessed." said Seraphim "blessed?" Grey looked confused.

"There are many other Gods, not just the 12 Goddess. When a God takes a liking to a certain being they bless them, they grant them skills, traits, knowledge or many other things that normally they would not be able to obtain or have." replied Seraphim.

"Why?" asked Grey again. Seraphim stayed silent and didn't answer, Grey too remained silent and didn't ask further.

After a short while, the 3 arrived outside Clear sky kingdom.

Jean didn't wait in the line that was outside the kingdom, but went straight for the guards instead.

After paying the guards a few gold coins they then let them in after just glancing at them.

"So you can also enter like that." thought Grey.

Jean immediately went straight to the Adventurers Guild with Grey and Lumiere after they entered the kingdom.

The Adventurers Guild is a place where people called Adventurers gather and accept quests with substantial rewards.

Adventurers mostly hunt for monsters and deal with demons.

After entering the guild, Grey and even Lumiere was surprised when they saw the inside of the guild.

It was a big place with a few floors. They saw many tables with people eating, drinking, and talking to each other in loud voices. There were even two drunk people fighting each other in the corner with only their fists and a bunch of people encircled the two while cheering and some are even placing bets.

Overall, the guild was rowdy.

But with a glance, Grey could instinctively tell that many of them were strong. Grey slightly clenched his fists and thought "there's so many of them."

Jean went straight to an average looking woman that was behind a big desk and asked "are you the receptionist?"

When Grey and Lumiere saw the receptionist, they both thought the same exact thing at the same exact time with widened eyes. "She's the strongest out of everyone here."

The woman then answered "Yes I am, what can I help you with sir?"

"Can I see your guild master?" Jean asked.

"I'm sorry sir, but who are you?" the receptionist asked with a polite smile and tone.

Jean sighed and said "I don't really have the time." before suddenly exuding a mighty pressure that enveloped the whole Guild in but an instant. But after a second, he immediately retracted it like nothing happened.

The whole Guild immediately became silent.

Grey, Lumiere, and all of the people that were inside the Guild were covered in cold sweat from just feeling Jean's pressure in but a single second.

The receptionist and the people at the Guild looked at Jean with sharp and vigilant eyes while their hands were holding their weapons, ready to attack the instant Jean makes a slight movement.

When Grey felt their gazes even though it wasn't directed at him, he thought "these guys are no joke." as he too prepared to attack at the slightest notice of movement, with sharp but calm eyes.

When Lumiere saw Grey's eyes she secretly circulated her mana throughout her body, ready to cast magic at any moment.
