28 Escape

(Third person POV)

Chu Lingxi grumbled and said,"If only I finished refining that dew earlier, I could have also participated in the competition. With my strength we could have also accompanied little brother chu feng." She appeared quite dejected.

It was understandable. After absorbing the dew she received a major boost in her strength. The dew didn't help much in raising her cultivation directly. Her bloodline strength received a boost. Even if it won't be of much help directly, in the long run it will help her achieve a higher level of strength. However, in her case she needed that little push. She has successfully broken through to 4th level Utmost Exalted.

Her mother Gu Mingyuan then hugged her from the side and said,"Lingxi, it's fine if you don't participate in the competition. You have already broken through. You should be happy for chu feng instead."

After using the dew until it became useless, Chu Lingxi gave the remaining to Gu Mingyuan. She too brokethrough 2nd level Utmost Exalted. She was stuck for quite a while so it was a good opportunity for her.

Then both of them looked at chu feng smiling at them before entering the Holy Light Clan Carriage.

Long Daozhi and his family were also witnessing chu feng's departure. He then said,"After today the name 'Chu Feng' would reverberate through the Holy Light Galaxy."

Suddenly all three of them received a message from chu feng which turned their expressions grave. He asked the three of them to go to the chariot that he created in the Ancestral Dragon City. He also warned them to go immediately without telling their clansmen. He said that Lingxi was the key to opening the secret chamber inside.

They looked at each other and nodded. They immediately left for the dragon clan area where the chariot was placed. They soon reached it and entered. As soon as they entered Lingxi suddenly became bright.

She then looked at the both her mother and Long Daozhi and said,"I just got the message of the secret location inside the carriage."

She then led them to the kitchen section of carriage. There were hundreds of kitchens. The three of them entered the the last kitchen and suddenly rays of light covered them as they were transported to a secret space within the carriage.

It was a bright empty space with a small table in the middle. There was a small brick on the table.

A ray of light came out of the brick and fell on Lingxi. Lingxi once again became bright for a few moments.

The brick then disintegrated into particles and formed a figure. It was chu feng.

Lingxi immediately shouted,"Little brother chu feng, is that you?"

The figure then started to speak,"This is just a recording so don't ask any questions and listen carefully."

Lingxi looked at the other two with an embarrassing smile. Her mother just shook her head while Long Daozhi waited for the projection to continue.

The figure then continued,

"Listen to me carefully. If you are seeing this then the competition would have been over. I created this after I saved elder sister Lingxi from that pig Lu Wanzong. I also left the key to activate this formation within her. You should have seen my strength by now. The Holy Light Clan will never let me go after watching my potential. Don't worry, they can't catch me if I want to escape. I have my own methods. With your strength you won't be able to help me. But as soon as your relationship with me is revealed they would threaten me using your lives."

The three of them immediately looked alarmed especially Lingxi. She immediately started panicking,"Mother, he is right. what should we do?"

Gu Mingyuan placed a hand on her shoulder,"Calm down Lingxi. We shouldn't panic right now and think of a solution. What do you think city lord Daozhi?"

Before he could answer the projection continued,"You don't have to worry. Just follow my instructions for now. I will be blunt with you right now Senior Mingyuan. Unlike the people form Ancestral Dragon City, I don't trust your clan one bit. I saw their nature when I rescued elder sister Lingxi. There were some who were dissatisfied by my intervention but suppressed themselves because of my strength. If a chance presents themselves they will immediately sell you out to the Holy Light Clan. The dragon city on the contrary would follow Senior Daozhi to his death. So, you and elder sister Lingxi can't go back to your clan."

Gu Mingyuan was very saddened when she heard that but she also understood that it was the truth.

The phantom looked apologetic "Sorry for this in advance but I can't have you go back to your clan on impulse. So.."

In the next second faster than they could react both Chu Lingxi and Gu Mingyuan were paralysed and their cultivation was sealed. All three of them were shocked by the turn of events.

The phantom took a firm expression and continued,"Senior Daozhi, This table is the central control of this entire chariot. The chariot is reinforced to the level where only the Holy Light Clan Head can damage it. So, it's quite sturdy. It also has a few attack formations but because of the time constraint I couldn't make them completely. At present you can only use 1st level Martial Exalted level attacks though only a few times."

The phantom then turned very serious,"Bring all your followers and start the transportation formation immediately. You will know how to invoke it as soon as you take control. Don't let the other two out of this space. The transportation formation will take you to the designated location."

Long Daozhi immediately responded by confining Gu Mingyuan and Chu Lingxi to a corner of the space.

Within an hour he gather all his clansmen and the others from Ancestral Martial Starfield and took control of the chariot. It took a few days but they soon Ancestral Martial Dragon City.

Everyone went their own ways as the entire dragon city moved into the chariot.

Long Daozhi then released both Gu Mingyuan and Chu Lingxi. Although both their cultivations were sealed they were able to move again.

Chu Lingxi then pouted,"Stupid chu feng, see how I'll teach you a lesson next time." She knew she couldn't blame Long Daozhi as he just did as chu feng asked.

Gu Mingyuan didn't say anything as she stood by her daughter.

Long Daozhi immediately invoked the transportation formation. Suddenly the whole chariot started shaking as space started to distort before it. A huge formation gate appeared before it. Then the carriage was covered in a concealment formation as it jumped into the gate.

When the chariot left the gate they were in another location. Soon another gate formed. The whole process repeated itself a few times before they stopped permanently.

Suddenly the phantom came out again and said with an embarrassed expression,"Sorry about the shaky ride. I had to keep anyone from tracing your route so I made it a little complicated. By now only a few resources would be left as the operating fuel. If I had more time I could have made a better mechanism. You should be able to realise that it was a one way trip. You can't invoke the transportation formation again. In fact other than the basic manoeuvres you can't do much with the chariot right now."

The phantom paused and continued,"The location you are in right now is actually the Ancestral Martial Lower Realm. That space formation is the most advance formation that I know right now. It is almost untraceable with normal methods."

"There are only a few ways to track you. One, If they are way stronger world spiritists than I am. It's impossible in our galaxy. Two, they use a prediction formation through a prophet. Now way, all the prophets who could predict this are dead or unreachable. Third, they have a spatial tracking treasure which is beyond me. It's possible but unlikely. "

The phantom then chucked,"This whole gamble is based on the fact that you are important hostages. Important enough to catch you but not important enough to pay a price. While all this is happening I won't be staying silent so don't worry. Once I settle things, I will come bring you back personally."

The phantom took on a more amiable smile and said,"Meanwhile, you can see the place I called home for almost half my life. But remember, don't disturb the lower realm. It's not healthy for them them to get exposed to people like you. You should already understand that. If you want a place for the chariot beyond the eyes of people you can go to one of the forbidden grounds. There is one of my father's servant near the teleportation formation. You can ask him. Also Senior Gu, you must be worried about your clan. Don't be. The Holy Light Clan won't act petty and target some low level clan. Elder sister Lingxi, if you decide to go explore the lower realm please suppress your cultivation to a very low level like true immortal or martial ancestor. Finally I have a special Message for you elder sister Lingxi. Go to the table and activate."

Then the phantom dispersed. Two rays of light came out of the table and unsealed both Gu Mingyuan's and Chu Lingxi's cultivations.

Long Daozhi broke the silence,"It seems we are stuck her for a while. I think it will be best if we don't interact with the locals at all."

Gu Mingyuan nodded,"Yes. The chariot seems to have a concealment formation so we don't have to worry about someone finding us. "

Long Daozhi chuckled slightly,"After taking control of the chariot I understood that I was still underestimating chu Feng's methods."

Chu Lingxi immediately refuted,"What? I wanted to explore all the places in this lower realm. Mother, I promise I won't make any trouble."

Gu MIngyuan shook her head and said,"First look at the message he left you. It should be important."

(Chu Feng's POV)

As soon as we came to the camp I could see that it was filled with multiple palaces. We then proceeded to the biggest palace where a congratulatory banquet was going to take place for the next 10 days.

On the way Shengguang Xuanye engaged in small talk with me. His fake polite attitude was a pain to deal with. During the banquet I interacted with many different people belonging to various forces of Holy Light Galaxy. The Holy Light Clan elders were also very polite to me.

I already solved the formation left by Daoist Niantian. I was right. All that Qi was illusionary. It wasn't fake but it formed a map that left me a clue. It was a location where the real part of it would be. I have to go check it out. If the amount of Qi was calculated based on the map, it would be more than enough to raise my cultivation to 2nd rank Martial Exalted. However there is always a catch and I plan to be absolutely vigilant when dealing with this guy.

Xiaoxiao and the others received niantian Qi which could be used right away. She was planning to refine it after going back.

When the banquet was going on an old lady from the Holy Light Clan suddenly asked me, "Little Friend Chu Feng, you seem to know about those intruders back in the Dragon Fighting Stage. Which force are they from?"

She might look like an gentle grandma on the outside but this was a cold and ruthless woman. Her name is Shengguan Youyou. She is a Supreme Elder of the Holy Light Clan. She has a cultivation of 4th level Martial Exalted. Her status in the clan was only second to their clan head. She was also responsible for collecting intelligence for the Clan Head.

As soon as the question was asked the entire banquet became silent with me as the centre of attention. I looked at her for a few seconds and answered,"Sorry, it's just that the answer is a bit complicated so I wanted to articulate for a few moments."

I then continued under their confused gazes,"Hearing what I said in the end, you should have deduced at least this much. Unlike us modern era cultivators, they belong to an ancient race. They don't originate from the eastern region."

I then looked at rest of the crowd and said,"As for the strength of that force, any normal elder level figure from that force can crush the Nine Soul Sacred Clan." I might be exaggerating a bit but from what I saw last time it could be true.

The entire crowd was shocked. Even the elders of the Holy Light Clan were very surprised. Then Shengguan Xuanye asked me,"Are they really that strong?"

I nodded and replied,"Yes. In fact it make me confused as to why they are here."

He looked interested and asked,"Why is that?"

I shook my head and said,"They usually believe that they would be dirtying their shoes by stepping in the eastern region. They also believe that the modern cultivators are all weaklings. They are also a very secluded force. I only got to know about them because of an accident. That's why I am confused and surprised by this appearance."

That got them thinking for a while before the banquet resumed. After the banquet the top 10 had to wait for the special rewards as the rest of them left after receiving theirs. Everyone was allotted with a palace along with their own servants.

Everyone was waiting for their rewards.
