4 Chapter 4 :- Awakening

At five o'clock Michael got dressed and was just getting ready to go to the place which they had decided, suddenly his mom called

"Michael, there is someone to see you. Come down quickly."

His mom commanded, "Who could it be at this moment" Micheal thought, While he climbed down the stairs.

A sleek girl which a bewitching smile that could topple nations and destroy cities (Idiom meaning beautiful women bring destruction) stood there waving at Michael.

It was Sarah she had come directly to his house rather than going to the abandoned hospital. "Hey, Why are you here?" He was dazed if she uttered anything about going to the abandoned place with a girl his mother would never allow such a thing to happen.

Having seen through Michael's expression she immediately turned to his mother an said softly, "We are project partners and I came here so we can go and get some fresh ideas for the project." she smiled sweetly and without further questing they departed from his home.

On the way they didn't talk about anything and quiety board the subway. Michael felt quite amazed that she had helped in such a tight spot at home.

Within a few minutes the got off because the place he wanted to take her was quite near his house.

Renwick Smallpox (Abandoned) Hospital,

"Hey, There is no-one here, What are we doing here, tell me something or I'll leave this instance!" Sarah said angrily.

"Calm down I'm not going to hurt you or something, Why are you so impatient!" Michael sneared."You..!"she wanted to say something but she held her thoughts back and remained quite.

They came to a large open ground which was quite weird because the nearby construction was seemingly blown away, it was quite staff for Sarah.

"Tell me, What am I doing here?" retorted Sarah."Calm down, I'll tell you ok."

"Ok" Michael sat down on a small rock and said, "You wanna know why I was avoiding you this whole time right?" "You probably have your own reason and it doesn't concern me." Sarah said calmly.

"What do you know about martial arts?"asked Michael with a smile.

"Well nothing but what exactly had it got to do with you not talking to me?"asked Sarah.

"So you were concerned why I was avoiding you, he he" grinned Michael.

"You....", "If you don't have anything to say them I'm going." her face flushed red like a cherry hearing Michael was just teasing her.

"Ok, Then listen those Chinese Martial Arts which you read about in novels still exists in this world, as well as those people who practice cultivation. They have spirits and different abilities and everyone is on different level." Listening to Michael's explanation her head was spinning.

"Stop" she yelled," So your saying all that Wuxia stuff is real and that was why you were avoiding me?" asked Sarah "Yeah" smiled Michael.

"Alright, so I'm gonna go now and you have fun with your Wuxia friends and I think I need to give your mom a call,I think your ill." She turned and started walking.

"Wait" Michael jumped while grabbing her wrist, she was stunned" I can prove it to you." said Michael calmly.

"Alright then prove it to me."demanded Sarah. Facing towards Michael.

"Alright, but first you guys also come out." he said facing towards the pillar behind them. Two figures came out, surprisingly they were James and Jennifer.

"What, when did you come here?" Sarah was stunned "They came a few minutes after us."

"Alright, so both Sarah and Jennifer don't have any idea about all this stuff right." both of them nodded.

"Ok, then James what are you waiting for sure then."he pointed towards James. He was startled but then came forward, then relaxed his muscles.

"This is the method by which you will unleash your spirit and can have a good amount of control over it."

A slight blue coloured monkey was forming behind James seeing this Sarah was shocked. When James completed his formation he performed a few of his abilities in front of them.

After a moment he was exhausted and then sat down tired.

"That was very good, and as you guys saw James has the zodiacal spirit 'Monkey', as for you Jennifer you have the spirit 'Rabbit'and Sarah you have the 'Snake'."

both the girls were amazed with all this new information.

"Now I'll show you all a strong spirit cultivator." he paused and then looked behind and smiled.

A man in long dark robe came out of nowhere and startled the rest three.

"Guardian Hóu, will you please." Michael turned towards his friends."He also has the monkey spirit, from this you will understand the difference in the levels." listening to this James frowned"You purposefully called him so that you can humiliate me, right?" but Michael paid no attention to him and continued to teach the different levels of martial arts. But the fact was that Michael had purposefully called a guardian with the same spirit as James because of James slacking in learning martial arts it was important that he learned that there are always people who are stronger than you.

Guardian Hóu displayed his abilities it was clear that there was a gap as big as earth and heaven between these two people with the same spirit.

"Thank You Guardian you can go now." "Take care lord" the elderly man the vanished into thin air.

"Now to awaken your spirits." he pointed towards both the girls. Both of them stared at each other because of confusion, they didn't know what he was going to do.

Michael slowly walked towards Sarah and came in front of her. Extending his right hand and lightly touched her rosy cheeks, meanwhile Sarah had turned red from his actions.

"Do you trust me?" he asked in low voice "Mm" she replied in a timid voice, she knew that even if Michael would do anything she couldn't do anything.

He grabbed her by the waist and pulled her close, seeing this the nearby James and Jennifer both were stunned, What was Micheal thinking.

He further extending his hand placed it on her back of the neck and placed one finger on her neck and started chanting in an mysterious language.

Soon a indigo snake mark was visible on Sarah's back of neck. He then stepped away from her "It's done" he smiled but by this time Sarah was red as a cherry and couldn't even say a word.

He turned his head to Jennifer, she had saw the process before and hesitantly said," Can... can James do it me." Michael dryly laughed and looked at James who was even more stunned.

"It's a rather simple process, but as of this moment he cannot do it with his strength." saying this he came behind Jennifer and placed his finger on the back of her neck and started chanting.

Soon a violet coloured rabbit symbol was formed on her neck. Seeing this Sarah turned red with anger, she knew that Michael had taken her advantage. Sensing her gaze he only chuckled and moved away from her.

He then stood farther away from them and said, "Now imagine your spirit in your mind and try to release its powers." "This way they will also be able to know that the other two are their friends." Michael said the lightly smiled.

A few moments later the wind pressure changed and a faint violent Rabbit formed behind Jennifer and after a few seconds a indigo snake behind Sarah.

He the signaled James to release his spirit and a green monkey was also formed, even though the blue monkey was more visible than the rest two it was weaker in terms of the mighty aura that the girls had, this made James quite sad.

A few moments later three of the spirits started retaliating as if they did not need a companion in their journey ahead and acted prideful. And started attacking each other.

Seeing this Michael frowned he knew that if the strength of user is weak the spirits can do as they wish. He stepped forward at that instant all the blowing wind stilled, his pupils turned golden and his voice boomed,

You three are companions from this day on protect each other as your own self." seeing him all the three kneeled in obedience as if they saw their king or were as if had witnessed a God.

Then everybody clamed and settled down.
