Zeroth Chapter

My eye lids fluttered up and down.My eyes awoke to a familiar scene... Dad...Memories from the past flew at me one after another.I sat up from the bed with great pain.My body ached all over, tears of sadness but also of joy slid down the sides of my cheeks.

"Yan'er you must know your limits, don't provoke your fellow clansmen. You should know that you are the weakest of the clan members.My son should be calm and reserved knowing when to retreat!" said Yan Hong.

My hands and body involuntarily drifted towards Yan Hong , I tightly embraced him wanting to know if this was just a short-lived dream .I opened my mouth but yet I didn't know what to say.

Finally I spoke,"Father I will not disappoint you, I will be a good for nothing no longer, I will try my best to listen to you!"

"That's my son, don't disappoint your father's expectations. You should know when to lay low but also when to stand tall. I will be looking forward to your performance in the clan meet in a year and also In the family meet 3 months from now!" Yan Hong sternly replied.

His footsteps gradually faded into the distance until it sounded faint like raindrops.

I was back...yes ...in the mortal realm!

When I was in the Immortal realm that wretched immortal empress Of the Sacred Empire killed me, because she thought I knew something about a 'higher realm'. It was just a myth...

Soon enough I had realized that my cultivation had stagnated or rather it had never progressed. I was in the first stage of the first realm. In the mortal realm there are 9 cultivation realms:

Muscle strengthening stage (9 stages)

Every stage doubles the strength of the previous stage , so it goes , 100Jin [1] then 200 Jin then 400 Jin etc ....

Essence gathering stage (9 stages)

This was where instead of storing your energy in the Dantian you would store your energy in your meridians. You could store more energy the stronger your meridians were hence why you strengthened your body first before gathering 'Essence'. After each stage your body would undergo a change , mainly in your meridians. The meridians would widen after every stage until you had sufficient essence to form your core or 'Dantian'. In order to enter Yin yang fusion stage you had to form a Dantian.

Then after essence gathering there is the Yin yang fusion stage which is measured by the percent of essence in the meridians that has entered the Dantian.The Yin Yang stage is also the foundation for the latter realms as the more you essence you had the better techniques you could use. Those were the three main stages in the current lower realm I was in. This was because the lower realm was split into 3 different sections. The lowest section was the Yin-Yang Section , then middle section was the True Qi Section , and the top section was the Saint section. To pass through each section you had to undergo a tribulation.

From what I could tell I was in the Icy planet of The Lower realm where I originated in the past.

The old cultivation method I was using is now outdated, It was a lower level human method!I can't believe I once cultivated such a bad method. But that means nothing.

A second chance at life , truly the heaven's pity my misfortune .

Fine , since heaven has gave me this chance I will dance destiny's tune and surpass the realms of heaven.
