547 Farewell

At the end of June, the students at the Songcheng University campus dwindled as the examination period drew to an end. That added a strange forlornness to the season when summer fruits dangled on branches in abundance.

In dormitory room 302 (Unit 2, Block 7), Lou Cheng opened the wardrobe and stared at the messy pile of T-shirt, pants, and clothes. For a moment, he felt lost.

At his feet, the 28-inch rolling suitcase had been stuffed to the brim. There were also cardboard boxes, sealed and affixed with delivery notes, waiting to be sent out.
