The Outer Court Tournament followed simple format of elimination . Two disciples will duel each other and the winner will advance to the next round . There were 5 circles 50 diameters each where the duels will be held . The crowd is surrounding the circle platforms while whispering .

Soon the Outer Court Elder spoke some words of encouragement and at last the tournament began . All the participants had drawn a number and will duel the other party with same number for the first round .

Raven sat near the crowd with extremely bored expression because at this rate it will take ages before his turn comes . He was the one at fault though for drawing number 180 . But his such though turned out to be for naught as the duels were ending at much faster pace than he had thought . Soon he came to an understanding that first few rounds of this tournament must be to weed out the weak and the real competition will start when only the strong are left . Unexpectedly his turn came just after one hour from the start of the tournament . He happily walked towards the circle platform number 3 and took a casual look at his opponent .

The boy had height of more than two meters but a lanky body and resembled a snake . Others will feel uncomfortable just by looking at his face and on top of that he had an extremely arrogant expression like he did not even put Raven in his eyes .

Well Raven could not care less about him as other children may be provoked by such manner but he is an old man inside and has experienced too many battles with ferocious beasts already . His resolve and battle sense cannot be compared with these pampered disciples . Soon the gong rung signaling the start of the duel .

The snaky boy could not bear the heavy impact and flew out of the stage like a broken kite . Everyone watching the battle was bewildered because most of them could not see the attack of Raven and shivered at the thought of being at the receiving end themselves . They did not know that Raven did not even use ten percent of his full power in that attack because the snaky boy would have been cut into pieces and Raven did not want to be disqualified by killing the opponent

. Raven ignored the shouts of the crowd and went back to his seat and closed his eyes.

The tournament continued and just like Raven predicted , the matches were short and the longest one was finished in at most ten minutes . So from the more than ten thousand participants , at evening only 64 remained who will fight in the next round of the tournament tomorrow. Raven became famous as all his opponents were insta killed and his matches were the shortest . All the remaining strong participants had no choice but to pay attention to him as they had absolutely no information on this powerful dark horse .
