48 Chapter 48 - Ristie's Wedding (2)

Bian held Mumut's hand and took her to the banquet tables to enjoy the served dishes. He didn't respond to reporters who asked about the events on the stage. Bian didn't want to hurt his wife more because he knew that Mumut was hurt seeing him hug Ristie. He regretted not controlling himself earlier because even though he only briefly hugged Ristie, it was something wrong.

After taking a drink and a snack, they took a chair at the far right of the room. Bian looked at her face, who was staring at the bride and groom while enjoying the snacks she had just taken.

"Forgive my attitude earlier," Bian held Mumut's hand with both hands.

"Hmmm," Mumut only smiled a little, and it just hurt Bian. To him, Mumut's anger might calm him down. He looked at her face again. Mumut was now watching a famous artist who was on the stage. Mumut was singing along quietly with the song that was sung by the artist. Realizing that Bian was still looking at her and still waiting for her answer, Mumut turned to look at Bian. The two of them were silent for some time.

"I trust you," Mumut's clear voice was heard after quite a while, making Bian's heart feel like it was being washed by cold water, which made it cool. He immediately grinned and dropped his kiss on top of Mumut's head. He didn't care even if many watched them.

From the stage, Ristie looked at the two of them with envy. Bian had never treated her that sweetly in their years together. Ristie's gaze was covered by the guests who greeted her. As soon as she could look back at the corner, Bian and Mumut were already gone.

The husband and wife had left their seats. They were not interested in enjoying the delicious dishes available or the romantic music sung by famous singers. For them, the most romantic thing was to make their partner happy.

Bian didn't want Mumut to get hurt more, and Mumut wanted Bian not to be lost in his past. Happiness was something that they created for themselves.

The two of them sat on a lawn chair some distance from the ballroom. The dim light from the garden lights created a very romantic atmosphere between them. There were only the two of them there. They sat opposite each other with their hands together. The two of them looked at each other with smiles on their lips. Bian couldn't stop staring at his wife's lips. He shifted his seat to sit next to Mumut. Bian let go of her hand and then held Mumut's face and turned it towards his. With great passion, he crushed her beautiful lips. The two of them panted as their kiss became more intense.

"Let's go to the room," Bian whispered hoarsely.

Mumut looked at Bian questioningly. Bian brought her to a presidential suite at the hotel. A few days earlier, Bian had asked Randy to make a reservation to bring Mumut to stay overnight after attending Ristie's wedding.

Mumut woke up the next day just before dawn. She smiled at Bian, who was still sleeping, and her smile widened when she remembered Bian saying that what they did last night was a warm-up before they did their honeymoon in the Maldives. Remembering that, Mumut's cheeks immediately felt hot and flushed. Ah, Bian was such a sweet talker!

Mumut decided to shower, but when Mumut was about to get out of bed, a strong hand held her and rolled her body back on the bed. Bian's hot body immediately greeted her with a strong hug, and an intoxicating kiss made her float again.

Sometime later, the two of them had come out of the bathroom and had changed clothes. After dawn prayers in congregation, Mumut heated the water and made coffee for her husband. Bian was seen sitting on the sofa while on the phone with Randy, asking about the preparations for his departure with Mumut to the Maldives.

Mumut felt happy when she looked at Bian, but she also felt a sense of worry overtaking her. Bian spoiled her too much, and she was afraid it was just a sweet dream. Mumut let out a deep breath. The difference between her and Bian was too far. What if one day, that man left her?
