FOR MARRIAGE

"Sir, according to Viper, their target this time wasn't young Miss... but you." Yago didn't say anything. He just kept the phone close to his ear as if waiting for something. "Sir? Are you still there?" he heard Tiger ask from the other end of the line.

From the side, Vier watched as Yago silently answered his phone. He was literally silent! He just listened and didn't utter a single word since the moment he answered his phone. A moment later, Yago hung up, still not saying anything. He looked worried.

"What's the matter?" Vier asked.

Yago shook his head. "I have to problems. One is, I haven't found a heart donor for you yet. The second is, someone's after my life. I'm thinking of a solution, but I can only come up with one thing."

Vier raised his eyebrows. He was curious as to what Yago was thinking.

"What is it then?"

"Well, I can just let them kill me, and then you can have my heart. But then Rian would be left alone, so you have to stay with her and protect her in my place!" Yago teased.

Vier on the other hand wasn't amused. He grabbed a pillow and throw it at his brother.

"Who wants to be with your Rian! Go protect her yourself!" Vier was irritated, but Yago kept laughing. He was just kidding! Why would he give Arianna away? Of course he won't! Not even to his brother. But he continued to tease Vier just to keep him entertained.

"We look alike, yes? It'll be easy for you to take my place!"

"I'm not interested one bit of your woman. If you miss her so much, go home and flirt with her!" Vier shouted. They were still in the hospital. But the room Vier was in was sound proof so he was free to shout all he wanted.

Yago tapped his phone. The screen lit up and a girls photo was revealed as Yago shove the phone close to Vier's face. "This is my Rian. Isn't she pretty?" he said smiling.

Vier humored him and looked at the photo seriously. The girl was smiling happily on the photo. Her bright eyes can bring warmth to once's eyes. She had a pretty, small face and long, black, wavy hair. This Rian turned out to really be a beauty!

"I like her lips." Vier commented as he stared at those luscious cherry colored lips. His brother's taste sure was good!

Yago immediately retracted his phone as he glared at Vier. "No way! Her lips are mine. She's mine! I'm not giving her away."

Vier raised his eyebrows and then smiled. "Really? I thought you were selling her to me." he teased him back.

"Never! I was just showing off. Find a girlfriend yourself." Yago replied.

"She isn't your girlfriend yet, too! We can compete fair and square!"

Right now, the tables have already turned. It was Yago's turn to be annoyed. Vier chuckled as he watch Yago walk towards the door.

"Bro, where are you going?"

"I'm leaving! You're boring. I'll just go home and ask Rian out on a date!"

Vier watched as his brother walked out of the door. He then laid back down in bed. That was when he noticed a box on the small table beside his bed. He took it and open up. It was a ring with something engraved inside. It was Yago's, yes? Was he planning to propose marriage before they leave?

Marriage, huh? In this lifetime, he has yet to meet a girl who can stir his heart. He had been ill for such a long time that the idea of marriage didn't even cross his mind at all. It would be unfair for the other person as there aren't a lot he could offer. But he knew his father has thought about it. In fact, he heard him say once that he already had a girl in mind for him. What's her name again?

Ah.... right! Ellaine...

"Ellaine!"

A woman wearing bright red clothes turned around when she heard someone call her name. She was currently strolling around the beach, her bare feet playing with water as she watch the sun set. Her long brown hair played with the wind as she watch a lady in blue dress from a distance.

"Yes?" She answered when she saw her cousin Atasha.

Atasha was panting. It looked like she came in a hurry. Her black hair that reached to her shoulders was a bit messed up by the wind as she came running towards her. She steadied her breath and wiped the sweat on her forehead before reporting to Ellaine.

"Your father called. He was asking when we'll be coming back." the girl answered.

Ellaine looked away and stared at the direction where the sun was a moment ago. Now, it wasn't there anymore, just like the love of her life.

She sighed and started heading back to the hotel.

Ellaine and Atasha have been staying in this hotel for two weeks already. They decided to come for a vacation after Ellaine broke up with her long time boyfriend. She had set her heart on him, fought for him, and stayed with him since she was a teenager, Defying her parents' wish to have her marry a man they approve of. She had stubbornly stuck herself with a man who turned out to be a cheater!

Ellaine suddenly stopped walking. She then looked back at her cousin who was walking behind her.

"Atasha, tell papa I won't be coming back for six months. I'll use this time to reorganize my thoughts. I'll relinquish my freedom after six months to come back home for marriage. I just want to enjoy and have this few months for my self."

Atasha was stunned.

" You're accepting the engagement? You haven't even met that man yet!" the woman exclaimed with wide eyes.

"They said that man has thin and frail body that would succumb to death at any time! Do you wanna be a widow soon?"

Ellaine didn't change her expression. Her cold eyes are still looking at Atasha as if nothing can change her decision now.

"Arrange for our departure. I want to go somewhere else. Find me an interesting place to stay for a while."

Ellaine said before walking ahead.

Atasha was left speechless. 'What a stubborn woman! Fine! I'll arrange things for you this coming six months. Let's find your destiny.' She thought in her heart as she smiled meaningfully.

Although Yago was initially drafted as the second male lead, I want you to know that I love him, too. I won't settle for a sad ending of course!
