16 DANIEL'S COUSIN

How surprised Meyra was because she never knew the reason from her son that now she regretted speaking like that to her son.

The woman sighed with her hands now touching her temples, making Hanzo who saw him immediately grab his wife's wrist.

"Never mind, think no more," said the man. "Anyway, now you know, right?"

Meyra who heard it immediately nodded her head with a sad look at the person in front of her at this time.

"I feel sorry for him, you know that?"

"Yes, I know very well, Meyra. But don't get too sad, Daniel will be fine after this." Hanzo hugged the woman and said again, "After all, Daniel can never be angry for a long time. You know that, right?"

Meyra who is currently in her husband's arms also nodded her head as a sign that she understood the meaning of Hanzo's words and now she hoped what the man said was true.

On the other hand at this time Daniel had just arrived at the Cafe with an expressionless face. The man immediately parked his motorbike behind the building where he worked.

He glanced at his watch, it was already 8:00 in the morning. It made him immediately rush to open the Cafe.

However, when Daniel had just arrived at the door, his eyes saw the door which was already open, making the man feel surprised by what he had just seen.

"How could this happen?" he muttered with a furrowed brow. "Only I have the key, so how come this door opens?"

Daniel bit his lower lip with one hand which was currently scratching his temple before the man finally ventured into the cafe and confirmed it.

True, there was no other choice but for him to go inside and see what had happened so that he could know the truth.

Slowly the man entered it with a pounding heart because this was the first time in his life that Daniel had to face a situation like this that made him feel scared.

It turned out that it was still dark inside the cafe, so Daniel was worried that something might happen here.

Both eyes looked warily around the place with a look that looked so frightened.

Daniel sighed for a moment before finally trying to stand up straight, daring not to be afraid in a situation like this, so the man who knew it immediately took a deep breath.

"What are you sneaking around like that?"

Someone's voice made him completely shocked by what he had just heard. Daniel immediately stopped in his tracks and looked around the room pretending not to be afraid of anything.

Until he found someone standing at the end of the room, Daniel felt his heart beating so fast again. He began to feel that at this time his entire body was starting to go limp, making the man no longer know what to do in dealing with a situation like this.

"Daniel, can't you hear me?"

The voice was heard again, but the person he saw at this time did not come closer and just stood still in his place, making the man gulp for a moment.

"Daniel!"

Simultaneously, a tap on his shoulder made the man scream in surprise, but not long after, he immediately covered his mouth with both hands when he realized that it was someone beside him who had called him.

"Y-you---?!" Daniel widened his eyes in surprise to see the presence of the person beside him, then looked in the direction where he saw someone who was silent at the end of the room then looked back to the side. "Weren't you there?"

"What are you saying?" said the man who was currently looking at Daniel in amazement. "I've been here all along, but you didn't see me."

The man groaned with his arms folded across his chest. "You're . . . so mean," he continued.

Of course, Daniel who heard this felt that something was wrong. The man looked back at a place where he had seen before as if someone was sitting on the other end.

Every time he remembers it makes him shudder in horror because Daniel is starting to think bad things about this place.

"Jilly, why didn't you ever tell me that ..." The man hung up on him, then turned his face the other way with his mind still focused on what he had seen moments ago. "Is this place haunted?"

A man who is currently in front of Daniel was stunned to hear what he just said.

"Daniel, first I'm your boss here. Second, how can you say something like that about this place to your Boss? Third, have you seen anything?!"

This is the first time Daniel is facing the annoying attitude of Jilly who is his cousin. The man is the owner of the cafe where and Ametsa works, therefore he is the one who always overcomes all difficulties with the girl when he has to deal with his brother because he is the one who hides this from the girl.

"Never mind, we're alone right now. I do work for you, but you don't pay me anything, so don't expect me to call you what you want."

Jilly who heard it immediately licked his lips with both hands which she currently put in his pants pockets. "Fine, but as for my next question, I mean it."

Daniel sighed as he shook his head looking at his cousin with a wry smile. "Do you want to know? You're afraid of ghosts, aren't you."

"Hey!" Jilly looked annoyed at the person who was in front of him at this time, although in the end the man immediately rubbed the back of his neck while looking around the cafe with a look that was worried about something. "I... of course was scared."

Daniel who heard it immediately shook his head with a flat face. Then he took a deep breath before finally stepping on his feet to get ready for work.

"Never mind, forget what I said," he said to the man. "I have permission to go to work, Boss."

"Hey, Daniel, you have to answer my question first!" Jilly shouted to his cousin. "You are annoying."

"You're more annoying, Jilly."

Jilly who heard it immediately snorted in annoyance with his hands now clenched into fists. The man turned his face the other way and chose to help his brother open this cafe.

"Daniel, you didn't come with the girl?"

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that one. Ametsa got sick, so you shouldn't scold her when she's back at work."

The man who heard it immediately shook his head to see Daniel who had just said that.

"You idiot, I'm your boss!"

"Yes, yes, it's up to you, Boss. But, you must remember what I said earlier, understand?"

Jilly immediately sighed harshly, then said, "Yes, it's up to you."
