The stereo played.A soft feminine voice floated from it accompanied by light music.

Feng Mian's living room was riffled with loud noises contrasting the soothing but unheard music.

Many of the people gathered were dressed in casual clothings and held beer cans in their hands while some contrastingly had wine glasses.

The Party had reached its climax and people had begun to group off amongst themselves. The alcohol in their glasses taking effect.

Different groups with different conversations.

" I Call Dips On The Tall Dark Man With The Surname Murong."

A girl whispered loudly and giggled, shooting 'heart eyes' at the handsome dark haired man- Murong Jian who was currently drinking elegantly from his wine glass. He was chatting merrily with some girls sitting across from him.

He looked cramped in his seat but seemed comfortable enough.

"That's fine.. I actually prefer the blondie. I have a special taste for foreign goods anyways" Her friend answered licking her plump lips seductively at said " foreign goods".

Shi Chongkun was sitting beside Murong Jian on the couch and looked like an absolute gentleman answering questions from the people all around him.

"Not if I can get to him first " A lady from the side interjected thirstily.

Her friend snorted.

"No my friend. You can't handle that kind of man." Her friend held up her equally plump index finger and wagged it,shaking her head. "How about I leave that good looking boy in a blue Chinese dress to you. Take it as a favour from this sister" The second girl offered haughtily.

Shiny A.K.A the boy in Chinese dress was currently not in sight but his appearance earlier and his outfit had caused an uproar . Even though he looked young and handsome no one had dared to talk to the frowning guy.

Not like the other girls had not tried though.

The girls all looked at each other and then at the swarm of people gathered around the seating area.

The giggling and laughing was deafening.

But these bunch of girls sat in a dingy corner completed by a bunch of chicken feet and cans of beer beside them on the table.

The men sitting on Feng Mian's couches looked like stars from where the girls could only watch from the shadows .

The merry girls looked at each other again and began to laughed loudly .

"Hahahahah. My dear friends you are too much. have you guys looked in the mirror? Those men are not only good-looking but seem like they come from rich backgrounds..."

A new girl in glasses scolded in a friendly tone. The girls in this group were all good friends and also considered as not the most fashionable ones.

"Ah.....This Feng Mian has a lot of great men around her today " The first girl ignored her friend.

"No, no,no...those men are not Feng Mian's friends. Those three men are here for that girl - who is Feng Mian's co- worker.They are that girl's relatives" The third girl recalled.

"But still.... That one, Mr Pan is also quite a catch I must say. I have never seen anyone look so good.Not even an actor. wonder where Feng Mian met him?Wonder if they are dating" The fourth girl wondered.

"Tsk. Stupid girl. That Mr Pan is also here only for that pretty girl across Feng Mian. I saw his eyes follow that girl all night long. I saw him even stare towards the bathroom door when she was inside it. I suspect that he is in love with her. .. my instincts can never be wrong" The second girl said confidently , her nose in the air.

"And why were you watching Mr Pan when you called dips on the foreigner?" Her friend called her out.

She gasped but then started to laughed happily again.

"I sunked my ship and decided to build a new one..ehehhe"

All the girls began to laugh again.

Yu Yan was in the crowded group. Suddenly, she heard a bunch of girls laughing happily from the corner and craned her neck towards them longingly. How she wished she could joint those girls.

"What happen? Are you feeling alright?" Ren Hao Pan said close to her ears.

Yu Yan shut her eyes, scooted farther away near Murong Jian and shook her head.

"I am fine Mr Pan" Yu Yan answered formally and sipped on her juice, turning her body away. Uncle Kao had begun to put her on a strict diet lately, she could not drink any alcohol tonight.

"Oh!? I am happy to hear that" Ren said In a whisper, thoroughly ignoring a question from someone across him.

Yu Yan sighed and craned her neck towards Shi Chongkun who was flushed pink after a few women circled him and began to flatter him. He was definitely having a great time. Yu Yan sipped on her juice again.

"Are you not having fun? What do you do for fun? what are your plans this Christmas?" Ren kept asking her questions

Yu Yan sighed again and looked towards Murong Jian who was right beside her and was talking with a drunk Wang Wei and Duan Syaoran across them.

"Yes" Yu Yan only said obviously ignoring Ren Hao Pan.

"Oh!?" Ren could only say again. " Xiao Yan... listen, I have something..."

"You are in my seat.." An angry Shin growled from behind Ren. He rudely stepped in between Yu Yan and Ren on the couch.He basically forced himself in between.

"..I was gone to the bathroom for only a minute" Shin growled in warning.

Ren Hao Pan scooted away and stood up because the couch had no more space for him.

It was embarrassing but Ren Hao Pan said nothing back to the young boy.He clenched his fist hard.

Feng Mian immediately provided him with another single chair but he did not sit back down.

"Xiao Yan, can I talk to you for a minute?" Ren pleaded gruffly.

Yu Yan felt eyes on her immediately and felt awkward.

"I..." Yu Yan began to say.

"I don't allow my sister in law to talk with another man. Whatever you want to say, you say it in front of me." Shin declared in a near rage. His voice loud.

Ren glared sharply at Shin.

"Mr Fa. I don't think you have any rights to stop me" Ren hissed in warning.

"I don't and you do?My Brother Li has given me the task himself. You are a thief, a person who lust for another man's wife. I am disgusted just looking at your face" Shiny said angrily.

The people around had witness the fight and had started to hoover around.

Yu Yan was very embarrassed. This Ren Hao Pan, just what was his problem? What would Feng Mian think of her now?

Feng Mian was expressionless for the moment.

Wang wei had shock written on his face. Duan Syaoran not withstanding.

"Truly childish of Mr Li." Ren Hao Pan had a condescending sneer on his handsomely sculpted face. "Just like him to send his minions in his stead." He said to no one in particular.

"Excuse me?..." Yu Yan began to say..

Suddenly Shin was back on his feet with an aggressive stance facing Ren Hao Pan.

"Say that again, bitch?" Shin spit looking for a fight.

Ren Hao Pan was not intimidated at all. He towered over the younger man with his massive height.

"What? never heard people insult your master before? Dog?" Ren also growled irritated with the boy.

People were now starting to talk and gossiping amongst themselves.

Shi Chongkun and Murong Jian, stood beside Shiny and held his shoulders to calm the younger boy down.

"Shiny, calm down." Shi Chongkun said softly from beside him.

Yu Yan had thoroughly been embarrassed by this Ren Hao Pan tonight, She wondered what Feng Mian, wang Wei and Duan Syaoran thought of her at this moment. If only Ren Hao Pan had not attended this party, all would have been well.

"There are some people that you can't treat so casually Mr Pan. If you have something to discuss with Mrs Li, please clear it with Mr Li first" Shi Chongkun calmly said coming closer.

" I have to clear it with Mr Li you say?" Ren began to laugh without humour. " Is Yu Yan his exclusive property that I need to clear it with him everytime I need to talk to her?. Just because of a ceremony and a little paper?" Ren Hao Pan looked towards Yu Yan as if to say : Look at how they treat you.

"Yes Mr Pan. As far as I know a husband is his wife's legal guardian. And with your exceedingly suspicious way of trying to get closer to sister Yan, I have to..."

"Thats no excuse to to deny her , her freedom. Do you even know what she wants?" Ren growled.

Yu Yan on the otherhand was not having any of it.

"Mr Pan is right. I am not his property even if he is my husband" She said resolutely.

"Sister in law you ..." Shiny tried to say something.

Yu Yan held up her hand to shut him up.

"So listen to me well Mr Pan. I, myself never had anything to do with you before and I don't have anything to do with you now. You have only managed to make me uncomfortable at every turn.I don't know anything about business but I know about the rivalries between yours' and my husband's company. My husband don't like you, I don't have any reason to like you. I don't want my household to be in a chaos because of small things.."

"Xiao Yan...please.." Ren said in a heart breaking voice.

"No Mr Pan. I would appreciate it if you dont have anything to do with me from today on. I am frankly uncomfortable with you. If you have anything regarding work, please clear it with my husband first as brother Chongkun said."

Yu Yan turned away towards the door. " Brother Chongkun, Shiny, Brother Jian ,let's go home."

Ren Hao Pan could only watch as Yu Yan was escorted out by three strong men. He could not stop her... could not tell her... and it was all that man Li Jun's fault.

Ren Hao Pan Ignored the sudden roar of noises from around him and reached for his coat to leave this place too .
