137 missing man
Late at night, three bulky men entered the library room in the dark. Their steps were stealthy and purposeful. They looked about their environment and locked in on their cluesless target.
Li Jun woke up and glanced towards his sleeping wife. He was very lucky to have fallen in love with a woman who was a very heavy sleeper. When Yu Yan slept, it was hard for her to be aware of anything around her. A very good thing for a man who had a habit of prowling in the night.
Li Jun put on his robe and went in the direction of his office.
He walked into the dark office room and only turned on his table lamp to illuminate the darkness all around him.
He sat down on his seat with a frown on his face.
Stacks of papers and files were lined up in order all over the table. His business documents, reports, and programmes.. everything he had missed in a few days.
On the farther side was a white envelope. Li Jun looked at it, frowning a little.That envelope was the report on the medicine prescribed by uncle Kao. The report was as he had suspected, it had a large amount of aphrodisiac and an ingredient which was a very rare herb. He didn't know what it was for at the moment but he would know soon enough. He let that one go and picked up the blue envelope.
It had the report on Miguel Ty.
The report was in accordance to everything Shi Chongkun had told him before . Nothing to link Miguel Ty to either himself or to Yu Yan.
No motives whatsoever for his suspicious behavior.
Li Jun distractedly tapped a finger on the chat and call transcripts of Miguel's phone laying on the table in front of him.
He had already seen this report yesterday morning. Nothing suspicious.
Miguel's data and picture galleries were normal- selfies, travel pictures etc. with no indication of foul play.
Still. It was clear from the survelleince camera that Miguel had been acting weird.Li Jun had watched the tape again and again and studied his body language.
Miguel had been too interested in Yu Yan but not in a romantic way, it was like he wanted to find out something from her.
Miguel had been acting suspicious, unquestionably .
Miguel had been playing on his phone as soon as Yu Yan began to speak and had turned the camera towards Yu Yan, even as he slid the phone into his front pocket he had been careful enough to turn the phone towards her. His fingers careful with the camera lens.
Of course, Li Jun conceeded that everything was circumstantial with no concrete evidences not motives.
BUT!
Miguel's body language was very suspicious... everything about him was suspicious.
Li Jun leaned back as he thought back to the morning he had received the transcripts - nothing was on the phone , nothing other than some family or friend chats and business calls.No videos or photos either.
Li Jun smiled.
That was the most condemning evidence against Miguel. His phones contained nothing important, nothing at all.
A billionaire heir at such a young age and with that kind of intelligence, it was impossible for him to not have any secrets. Someone had erased his tracks.
Li Jun had other suspicions, but nothing conclusive.
Li Jun scanned the information one more time before he dropped it to bury his head into his business work.
In the morning.
When Yu Yan woke up, Li Jun was gone again. She was not surprised.
Yu Yan went about doing her morning routine as usual and headed down.
As she was speaking to a servant about some arrangements, a maid came up to her with a worried look.
"Madam, Doctor Kao is missing" The maid sprung the unexpected news.
"What?" Yu Yan could not control the high octave that came out from her voice box.
"I went into the library to give him his meal like you had instructed us but he was not there. I went into his room but he was not there either. I lastly, asked his assistant but he didn't know where he had gone either. We searched together for a while but we could not find him," The maid said wringing her hands nervously.
Yu Yan calmed herself figuring he must still be around somewhere . The property was huge after all.
"Huh?" But Where could uncle have gone and leaving his assistant at that?. "Let's search the house first , he wouldn't leave without his assistant" She was not as worried as she was surprised.
Yu Yan searched with the servants completely forgetting about the guard stations. It never occurred to her to ask someone for help not even her husband.
After one hour, she searched but uncle Kao was nowhere to be found.
Yu Yan started to panic when the phone kept ringing but uncle Kao did not pick up his phone.
What could have happened? Should she call the police?
"Madam, we found him!" A servant yelled running towards her. "Come quickly" He beckoned.
"Where did you find him?" Yu Yan yelled back as she ran towards the servant.
" Ma'am ,that... in the library" He stuttered.
"Huh?" Yu Yan slowed down. "Didn't you just say that he was missing from the library?" She looked towards the servant who had informed her of uncle Kao's disappearance.
The maid nodded confused as well.
As Yu Yan entered the library, she was shocked into a standstill.
"What the hell?"
Uncle Kao was tied up and was hanging from the ceiling on a metal hook.
Ten or twelve servants on the 3rd floor of the library were on ladders and steps trying to gently bring uncle Kao to the floor.Some servants were on the ground. It was chaotic
Uncle Kao was tied completely like a mummy with only his head showing. His mouth was taped shut. Thick ropes tied him to the metal hook using a pulley system with the anchor rope tied to the third floor window.
The servants were dropping the rope gently as uncle Kao's body came nearer to the ground.
The servants reached out their hands incase the rope broke and the old man fell. But he did not fall.
The ceiling was more than 50 feet high because of the triple floors in the library room. A high-staircase leading to each library floor.
Uncle Kao was hung up on the roof of it all. He was limp and looked death.
This was why the maid had not seen him earlier, she had search all the floors but she had not looked up towards the ceiling.
Uncle Kao looked unconscious but Yu Yan could see now that he was breathing heavily when the strong servants got him down. Yu Yan ran towards him and reached him quickly.
"Uncle, uncle, who did this to you" Yu Yan cried in alarm. "Someone go get some water for uncle. Get my husband too. Quickly, quickly" Yu Yan ordered as a few servants scurried away.
Uncle Kao moaned in pain.
