128 Gift from the heavens

"Brother Chongkun?" Yu Yan looked at the man who had just called out to her.

She was not aware of his presence, until just now . She had not seen that Murong Jian was behind Shi Chongkun either. They were both wearing robes and their heads were wet as well.

They had just come from the pool area?

But what bothered her the most was that the two men looked really sad and disturbed. Their faces were drawn and they had an excessive air of gloom around them especially Murong Jian.

"What happened?" Yu Yan asked immediately. Was something wrong? bad news? where was Ty Miguel?

"Let's go back. I feel dizzy" Li Jun pulled her back towards their room. Li Jun knew what that bastard Chongkun was trying to do immediately.

Yu Yan was pulled away but Shi Chongkun called for her to stop again.

"Yan Yan, I am afraid we have to leave immediately" Shi Chongkun said very fast in a sad tone.

That got Yu Yan's full attention. She told Li Jun to stop pulling her.

"Why? What happened?" Yu Yan asked with worry.

"It's...Its nothing. But.." Shi Chongkun said looking at Li Jun with a hesitant expression.

Li Jun raised an eyebrow in disgust of his act.

Yu Yan looked at Li Jun in confusion. "What happened?" She asked her husband.

"Work problems. Come lets go.." Li Jun pulled again but Yu Yan refused to go.

"Brother Chongkun, Whats wrong? you can tell me clearly.Did Li Jun say something to you?" Yu Yan asked in her soft voice.

Li Jun glared from behind his wife at Shi Chongkun, daring him to say something.

"No... Its nothing" Shi Chongkun said in a disappointed manner. " We will all leave now....Even though we have already unpacked " Shi Chongkun added calculatively and walked away.

"WAIT!" Yu Yan called loudly.

Shi Chongkun turned slowly. Of course he had already predicted that she would stop him. The girl was no match for a manipulative rich-businessmen's dirty tricks.

"Even if you have important work and need to go out for awhile you don't have to take your things.You have to come back after you are done with work. I wouldn't allow you all to leave my home like this okay?" Yu Yan said in an urging voice.

"Really? We can?Are you sure?.." Shi Chongkun looked towards Li Jun who was still scowling.

Yu Yan frowned when she once again noticed Shi Chongkun's eyes darting towards the man standing behind her.

"Brother Chongkun, you don't need to care about Li Jun.This house is under my name. What I say goes.." She turned back at Li Jun and asked with warning in her voice. "isn't that right, HUSBAND?" Yu Yan was already aware that Li Jun had chased their guests out. What was his problem?

Li Jun was annoyed and dragged his hand into his hair, muttering something about wives being too bossy and doing whatever they wanted.

Yu Yan nodded even though she didn't actually hear what he had said. " See? brother Chongkun, even Li Jun is saying it's ok. Have dinner before you go deal with your work okay?" Yu Yan smiled.

Shi Chongkun knew that Li Jun would let Yu Yan do whatever she wanted but he was still shocked seeing it again and again...

'This girl is like a gift from the heavens to me'.. Shi Chongkun thought. How else would he see Li Jun reduced to this state. Shi Chongkun was extremely happy and satisfied seeing his best friend being 'handled' by his wife.

"Hahaha.. my dear Yan Yan, I actually don't have to go to work right now ...Only Jian needs to go" Shi Chongkun still remembered the viper who nearly got him into more trouble. This stupid Jian was stupid beyond stupid. Li Jun was no ordinary person...he was too dangerous. Shi Chongkun wouldn't ever dream to cross such a man's bottom line. Unfortunately Murong Jian didn't know what he knew.

"Really? Murong Jian, you need to go?" Yu Yan had already forgiven him for his actions the other day. She knew that he was one of Li Jun's few close friends and she felt the small incident at the pool party was not worth losing a good friend over. But, it didn't mean that she liked him either. For now, she was only giving him another chance.

Murong Jian saw his chance and took it.

"Sister in law my work is not that important. I can stay back too" He said not looking at anyone but Yu Yan.

"oh?" Yu Yan only said. She didn't have any problems with him leaving.

"But, I feel you should still leave.Work - small or big is important. Just take Your stuff and go. Its not hard to do" Shi Chongkun said haughtily looking away to the side.

That remark earned him a few more points in Li Jun's book.

Yu Yan was confused. Just what was going on? First Li Jun tried to chase out all of them and now Shi Chongkun was clearly trying to chase Murong Jian out.

"No.No.Nothing is more important than my sick brother and my sweet sister in law..Ahem , please excuse me" Murong Jian escaped as soon as he said this, in the direction of his assigned room.

Shi Chongkun also shook his head and followed him to scold him a bit for Li Jun. Even though Murong Jian had known Li Jun way before Shi Chongkun came along, Shi Chongkun knew about Li Jun more than anyone. The subject of Yu Yan was a 'no go' for anyone.

"What was that?" Yu Yan asked confused after the two men left.

"Nothing. Come, lets go back" Li Jun finally pulled her away.

This wife of his ,kept foiling all his plans.

Li Jun smiled remembering a book passage he had read somewhere about ancient Greeks.

The ancient Greeks had believed that falling madly and deeply in love with someone was a curse wished upon only your worst enemies.

He finally understood that saying.
