Yu Yan woke up after a few hours. Uncle Kao was there to calm her down, feeding her nonsense about the debacle earlier.

"... So it was all in good fun. Jun er and I, always prank each other like this. I... I also enjoy being suspended in the air like that" Uncle Kao said convincingly, stuttering only once.

"I don't believe you" Yu Yan said looking towards Li Jun.

Yu Yan had a cynical face on.

"Hummm... Why would Li Jun do it seriously. I am his uncle. And look at me! I am right here, healthy and still good looking. hahhaha"

Uncle Kao looked towards Li Jun for help but Li Jun was busy massaging his wife's legs. Uncle Kao looked at him scornfully and turned to smile at Yu Yan. " Even if you don't believe in Li Jun, believe in me.. okay" Uncle made a circle with his index and thumb finger.

Yu Yan did not believe him nor Li Jun. The last memory of her husband was something he could never forget. It was not only frightening but her blood had turned, as cold as the look in his dark eyes.

She peeked at Li Jun and he was his normal self again. She quickly turned away when Li Jun glanced up to meet her eyes.

"Also, I have a good news" Uncle Kao said bringing Yu Yan out for her disturbing thoughts.

"What good news?"

"I have decided to move in " Uncle Kao said with great flourish.

Yu Yan gave a beautiful smile from her heart. "Really? That's really a good news. Which room will you take? The guest room is not suitable now". Yu Yan said excited with the news.

Uncle Kao was also very satisfied with Yu Yan's reaction.

Uncle Kao began discussing all the details together with Yu Yan and decided to take over an annex Villa near ling Ling and xi er.

Later Uncle Kao left to his room for his much needed rest, leaving the couple alone in their bedroom.

" Let's also sleep" Li Jun said climbing to his side of the bed and turning off the lights.

Li Jun did not get a response from her but figured she was just tired. He went closer to her to hug her and sleep like usual but Yu Yan scooted away.

Li Jun was surprised but did not think too much about it. He went closer to her under the blankets but Yu Yan scooted again reaching the corners of the bed.

"What's wrong?" Li Jun sat up and complained.

No answer.

"Come here. Come closer.You will fall down." He said calmly.

No answer.

"Honey?" Li Jun said exasperatedly.

"Don't talk to me" Yu Yan said still surly with him.

"Why?" Li Jun pulled her forcefully towards him to stop her from falling down.

"You don't know why?"

"Will I ask you, if I knew?" Li Jun began arranging the covers and pillow to make her more comfortable.

"To you, Its not important enough to remember is that it?" Yu Yan sniffled in the dark. A sign of crying.

Li Jun softened.

"Honey, are you crying?what is it about? Tell me. I sincerely apologise for everything okay?"

Yu Yan sniffled again.

"Oh honey... Is it because I yelled at you earlier?"

Yu Yan made a motion of sobbing softly.

Li Jun hugged her and tried to wipe her eyes for her in the dark. Yu Yan resisted. Li Jun tried harder.

Finally Li Jun rolled to his side of the bed and turned the lights on.

"Hey!!? Where are your tears? " Li Jun asked baffled.

Yu Yan wasn't even crying. She was glaring at him.

Yu Yan huffed after being caught and covered her face with the blanket.

"Okay. Okay. I already got my punishment when I saw you faint. I am sorry, I really am." Li Jun paused and added with a teasing smile. "Aya.. I think I lost ten years of my life today when I saw you faint" Li Jun said dramatically.

Yu Yan giggled when he said something, she used to say.

"Thats more like it. I love you the most when you smile" Li Jun cooed hugging her and kissing her cheeks all over.

"I thought you loved me the most when I cried" Yu Yan reminded with a giggle.

"Well, I love you when you cry too but now, I am sure that I love you the most when you smile ,especially with me" Li Jun patted her hair gently, resting his chin on her head.

After a while, Yu Yan was limp in his arms again, this time she was only asleep.

Li Jun continued to hold her and thought back to the day's happening.

He had yelled at her in his frustration and showed her a glimpse of his real self... And she had fainted. Her stress was too much in that moment that her body had collapsed, albeit it was the medicine and their rough love making that had really caused her health to give out, but he knew in his heart , in that moment that Yu Yan had looked into his eyes... her fear.. her fear was apparent.

The predator in him could smell her fear. And he didn't like it one bit.

What if Yu Yan came to know about all the things he had done? What if, she ran away from him when she came face to face with his real self? What if.. She hated him?

Li Jun closed his eyes when that feeling of helplessness hit him hard. He decided in that moment.

'I will never let her know. I can never let her know'.
