Yu Yan with nothing else to do the following day decided to resume office again, against Li Jun's advice to her to rest for a couple more days before starting work again.

Li Jun scolded her a little about it on the phone but he could do nothing else about it.

Yu Yan found that the office had changed albeit subtlely. The lobby looked different. She didnt know what exactly but she knew it had changed a little.

The office had more guards too. She had to pass by several guards before she could go to her office room. She wondered about that.

Home was lonely and being without Li Jun was boring.

Talking on the phone was all they could do and Li Jun could not stay long on the phone either.

The time difference was a problem as well.

Yu Yan felt really lonely and no matter what Shi Chongkun and Murong Jian did to cheer her up in their free time, she just felt..... lonely. Uncle Kao was forever engrossed in his books.

Yu Yan sighed.

" Look at that disgusting face" Feng Mian said suddenly as Yu Yan was compiling some files in the copy room.

"Huh?" Yu Yan looked up and around them, wondering who Feng Mian was talking about.

Feng Mian passed her a paper clip and laughed.

"I am talking about YOU, stupid! You have an 'abandoned wife' face plastered all over your face right now." She gestured on her own face for effects. "Weren't you with your husband the whole of last week and more?". She said accusingly. Didn't he just leave three days before? Why are you so down?" Feng Mian asked shaking a pencil at her.

Yu Yan nodded slowly.

"He said he will be flying back tonight but with this weather..." Yu Yan looked towards the blizzard happening outside. It was already starting to get dark and it was not even 2 pm yet.

"Eh.. don't worry he will be back soon enough" Feng Mian consoled her sad friend. She could somewhat understand the newly wed. " Come, let's go get some coffee really quickly. Madam is out for some business" The friend said trying to cheer her up.

Yu Yan nodded with a smile and followed .

"Did you guys hear the news? It seems our company is entering into the film industry and has signed with the famous Hollywood director Mccabe. Our company had also given them access to our building for a shooting scene. Its all over the news... Its amazing." A man said to his colleague as they stood beside the coffee machine.

" Yes I just heard too. Director Mccabe is so talented and so handsome" The woman responded dreamily.

"Hahhaaha.. you know that he likes only men right?" The man said with a laugh.

The woman nodded,seemingly unfazed.

"Oh that explains the mess in the office last week" Feng Mian joined into the conversation since she knew the two people.

"By the way, this is so sudden isn't it?" The woman said looking at Feng Mian and Yu Yan who were nursing their own coffees.

They nodded.

"Yeah, it is. Our company has never done this before" The man said deep in thought.

"Yes.. it is really weird. This is the first movie to be produced by Li Enterprises"

"Oh who cares? It's just a ploy for advertisement. But have you seen the male lead of the movie? Isn't he handsome?" Suddenly another female colleague joined into the conversation as she waited in the line.

"Forget about the actor. Have you seen the actress? It's Suzanne Rose.Oh i can't believe, she is in China right now"

"I can't believe Brandon is here in China" A female employee said about the male lead.

"I am so fed up with this discussion" Wang Wei came up behind the group of people. " It's the only thing I have been hearing since morning"

"Wang Wei? You startled us." Feng Mian jumped a little.

"Hello.." Yu Yan smiled and said in greeting. They had not met since she rejoined office because Wang Wei had gone to another province for a business meeting.

"Yu Yan, Are you feeling better now? I wanted to call and visit you last week but Feng Mian said not to disturb you because you were too sick to talk on the phone. So, thats why i didn't call. I really wanted to visit though but I don't know where you live" He tried to explain himself. He had tried to call her many times but gave up just before he could press the dial button. He did not want to disturb her and also he was too shy.

"Huh? I wasn't that sick" Yu Yan said confused. Looking at Wang wei.

"But Feng Mian said.." Wang Wei was confused. Yu Yan was absent for more than a week. If not seriously sick then?...

" Ai, Ai.. forget about all this. Tonight i want to invite you guys to my new apartment. It's a house warming party. You guys have to come. It's about time, we bonded outside of the office." Feng Mian lied changing the topic, internally she cursed her stupid friend.

"I can't go" Yu Yan said instantly.

"Anyone who doesn't come, I will never speak to them ever again even if the sky falls down and rolls over" Immediately Feng Mian began the threats.

"I can't come really" Yu Yan shook her head. Li Jun would not arrive tonight but still she was not in the mood and also she needed to think about her security. Li Jun had warned her again and again about it before he had left.What if someone attacked her again?

"Listen Yu Yan. Are you one of those woman who always needs approval from their hus.. I mean family to go out? Are you an independent woman or not? When are you allowed to have fun?" Feng mian scolded the girl.

Yu Yan was startled at her words.What Feng Mian said hit her. What was really stopping her? Was she really such a scaredy cat now? It had been months since the amusement park attack and Li Jun had told her that he had taken care of it. Li Jun would not have lied about such an important thing would he?. And this was the first time Feng Mian had invited her to her home. She did not want to lose her friend and she did not want to be rude to her friend. It should be fine..

" Okay, fine. I will go" Yu Yan said firmly after awhile and Feng Mian nodded in approval.

"I will go too " Wang Wei said looking shyly at yu Yan.

"Okay that settles it. I will give a call to Duan Syaoran right away."
