This is it (Edited)

Another tiresome day, Jeff parked his car with a smile. he looked at his villa and was sure he saw change. The oyster colors seemed more vibrant and warmer, everything looked lovely and homely and he wasn't sure whether his perspective was changing or Amy being there made it warm.

He briskly walked to the front door only to be met by the same eerie silence. Something in him snapped. "Butler!" he shouted. The man stood before him in a blink of an eye. "Where is my wife this time, didn't I make it clear that she should be home when I get here!"

The butler watched him in silence before opening his mouth to speak. "She was informed but she still left."

Jeff exhaled audibly. He shouldn't be surprised right? Amy was not going to listen to him and he knew that better than anyone else. Yet he couldn't take it anymore. Her absence made him feel uneasy. As if that wasn't enough, his phone rang and when he checked the caller, he wanted to smash his head into something.

Seriously, heavens?

Am I your mortal enemy?

With a heavy heart, he picked the call and placed the earpiece on his ears. "Honey!" a shrill voice that gave him nausea came over the other side.

"Yes, Stephanie," he said, like seriously what was he supposed to tell the woman who disappeared into thin air for days without informing anyone and then calls all of a sudden? Not that he cared anyway.

"You ignored me, honey," she said in a coquettish tone and he could mentally see her pouting over the other side, looking like some baboon from the zoo.

"No, I was too busy to notice your disappearance," he deadpanned.

Silence reigned for a while before Stephanie broke it with her pathetic sobbing. "Ho…ney, you… you… didn't even like me anymore…she's charmed you with her black witchcraft…" another series pathetic sobbing followed.

Taking a deep breath, Jeff decided to comfort her, after all he really wasn't planning to spend his night listening to her cries. "Baby, you know I love only you, but sometimes you also get on my nerves…I'm sorry, okay?"

"Okay," came her sweetened voice. "I will come back after a week."

He nodded and then remembered he was on a call. "It's fine, baby." Just then, the main door squeaked open and a black figure walked in. "I'll talk to you later," he said over the phone and hung up. He placed his phone in his pocket and turned fully to look at the suspicious figure that just wandered into his house. "Welcome to our hotel, your service would be delivered to you in a minute," he said sarcastically.

Coming to a stop, she crossed her hands and rolled her eyes. "What, now you're my babysitter?"
