2 A glorious coincidence (Edited)

The guy's brows twitched. "What did you say?" his eyes moved to the can she was holding. "And you, you eat mint chocolate ice cream, what kind of girl are you?" he then checked her clothes, blue ripped jeans, sneakers, baggy T-shirt underneath, and an unbuttoned bigger shirt on top, not to mention the free dreadlocks that hung over her shoulder and the black bandana on her forehead that screamed bad news. "Just look at yourself, are you a gangster?"

Amused, Amandla ran her eyes over herself proudly. "Something like that," she gave him one of her odd smiles. "I can be bad news." She wiggled her brows at him.

"You… you're a nightmare!" he couldn't believe the audacity of this girl, didn't she know who he was or was she playing dumb and naïve, he laughed inwardly, he had met a lot of her type why was he even surprised?

"Yep, you're right, I can be your nightmare." Just then a man also dressed tastefully walked up to them and looked at the ice cream victim.

"Bro?" he looked from the victim to her and then back at the victim's shirt. "Geez, what happened?"

Amandla shrugged. "This piece of sh*t was eating strawberry ice cream and decided to decorate his shirt with it." she tapped her foot impatiently. These people were kind of wasting her precious time but she didn't believe in abandoning unfinished business and neither was she about to.

The man's jaw ticked again. "Do you have a problem with admitting your mistake?"

She forced a sarcastic laugh out. "And what is wrong with you, do you have a problem with admitting yours?"

The man inhaled and walked away. The other one now decided it was fit to speak, tsk. "Do you know who he is?" he asked. Amandla shook her head, she didn't and she wasn't even a bit interested. "He is the CEO of Rooney Corporation, Jeff Williams."

Amandla sized him and then looked at his face. "I don't care and what are you, his spoke's man?"

The guy shook his head with a permanent smile that made her skin itch, no that made her fist itch to land right in the middle of his face, what was so funny, her day was a mess, and this guy, he was smiling in her face? Was he mocking her? "I am Jason, his brother." She needed to seriously calm down, at that rate she might end up in more problems. Inhaling, she decided to carry her frustration elsewhere.

"Another reason I should keep walking." And she walked away without glancing back.

"What a weirdo," she heard him say but took no notice.

She took the can to the hospital and found Louise asleep under anesthesia. She handed Lucy her credit card back and placed his ice cream in the fridge since they were in the VIP room. What to say Lucy was born rich.

"Go home and rest, I'll check over him besides mom and dad are on their way here."

Amandla wanted to refuse but she knew better than to not give the family space. But thinking about the den she called home, her insides suddenly turned. She wasn't in the mood to meet her pathetic stepmother and her useless father not to mention her step-sister who had just coveted her boyfriend. Oh well, she didn't have anywhere else to go and what she could really use was a good sleep.
