Chapter 34: Under Arrest

Time went by quickly, but Narumi got no news from him at all, so she decided to go to his office. 

"Narumi, to what do I owe this surprise visit?" Takeshi asked as he welcomed her into the office. 

"The investigation—what else? You haven't given me any updates, so I had to come." She said with a sigh and took a seat on one of the armchairs in front of him while waiting for an explanation.

"Oh yes, I found something really interesting about it, but I need to tell you something." He said.  "Please don't get offended by it."

"Is that so?" Narumi replied suspiciously.

Takeshi nodded.  "Yes, Narumi, you are a smart woman in the business world but not in other aspects."

"And how am I not supposed to be offended by something like this?" She huffed.
