Rejection

Eric studied her facial expression for a while before saying, "You shouldn't be surprised. You have a flexible boss."

Although Caro did not understand what he meant by that, she directly skipped the question. "CEO Chang is here. I will be letting her in in a minute."

Learning that his ex was around to see him, Eric lost the motivation and relaxed his back against his seat. His silence was akin to him agreeing to her arrangement.

A minute later, Chang May walked into Eric's office in brown pants and a white long-sleeve top. Her hair was put up in a ponytail and it bounced with each powerful step she took.

"Good morning," she greeted.

"Good morning. You may sit here," Eric directed her as he pointed at one of the seats in front of his work desk. 

"Thank you." May sat down and put her bag beside her before lifting her gaze, "Thank you for accepting to work with us."
