"Let's see if we can find anything," I said, closing my eyes as we stepped out of the inn. I took in a couple of deep breaths and focused my senses on any unusual vibrations. Although nothing came up. The silver lining news was that there were no signs of the monsters being in this area.

"Hmm, the only thing I sense is the citizens of this town."

"That's good to hear," Uneri said as he walked over with some food. "Sorry I took so long. The lines here in the capital are long."

Korei snickered. "Tell me about it."

"We'll leave you to your meal," I said.

Uneri sighed. "You can't be thinking of going out on an empty stomach. Come on, let's go in and eat. I got some for everyone."

I looked down. "I appreciate the offer, but I have a task to complete."

"And what if you collapse from hunger? How will you help anyone then?"

I ruffled my hair. "Alright."
