Chapter 128: Trial

I sighed as I got into the car. I couldn't shake off the bad feeling I got from Cyra's comment on how my tutoring was coming along. 

I jumped as a big phone rung.

Kine snickered as he got in. "Uh, sorry." He closed his door and picked up the portable phone. "Hello? Huh, Kaze? You wish to meet with Rose?"

'With me? Had something happened to Kiki?'

"She's here right now, want to talk to her? No? Alright, I'll drive her there," he said, his voice a tad shaky.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

He shrugged. "I'm not sure, but she didn't sound pleased. Granted, it could be because she was talking to me."

I lowered my head. That bad feeling had just gotten worse...

Kine put on his seatbelt and drove off.

"Ya okay, Rose?" Dahlia asked, touching my shoulder.

"I'm a little nervous," I mumbled.

"Think it's something serious?"
