15 Felt Nothing

LUNA

I don’t know how long I’ve been staring at Camille. It's like I'm still dreaming. My heart is pounding.

"Camille .."

"One and only." She said with a smile. She pushed the gate so she could get inside. She surveyed the whole house.

She looked at me. "Where's Dylan?"

I cleared my throat. "He's in the office."

She looked at me carefully. I look at her too. "Good. I want to talk to you, Luna."

I got stiffed at what she said. I cleared my throat because her voice was serious. Is this what I'm afraid of? I closed the gate and led her into the house. She immediately sat down on the sofa and removed the scarf around her neck.

"It's still hot in the Philippines." She sighed. I arranged the rose Dylan had given me in the vase, Camille's gaze went there. "He's so sweet, isn't he?"

"Yeah. We're trying to work things out." I say seriously.

"I'm happy for you. I made the right decision."
