31 The swing..

When Samuel reached the hospital immediately went to the pediatrician and asked them to check his daughter. The nurse there checked it and said"It's nothing serious sir, as it is a baby skin it's a little delicate than us adults, be careful with the toys the baby is playing. I will just clean it up and cover it with a band aid. No need for any serious treatments"

"Are you sure? she is bleeding" Samuel was anxious.

"See sir the bleeding has stopped and it not as serious as you think. It is just a scratch." the nurse replied politely while cleaning and put a band aid on it. While cleaning Nina started wailing again. But the nurse coaxed the baby and gave her back to Samuel. He thanked the nurse back and went back home.

On the way home, he already realised what he did to his dear daughter. He really wanted bang his head on a wall and die. What he was afraid has happened and he was the one who made it worse. He also saw that Vivi didn't mean to hurt Nina but he didn't know why he shouted at his own daughter. He was feeling very bad for her. He is now brooding over how to face his baby now.

Back at home.

After Samuel left the house, Vivi sat at the same place stunned for next 10 minutes. Then she looked around saw that everyone are staring at her. She wanted to cry but she couldn't. She just sat there, her eyes were red and she was holding her sobs. She knew no one cares about her except for her pappa. But her pappa also seem to hate her now. So if she cried every one will think she is bad and will not come to her. Then everyone will go to the new baby. So she was controlling not to make any noises or else some one else might shout at her. So she stood up and took her Barbie which just flew away from her hand and went to her room.

The adults in the hall were shocked first at Samuel's outburst and then at Vivi's reaction which was more shocking than the outburst. When she went to her room silently with her eyes full of tears, no one knew what to tell her. Inir actually came to her side just after Samuel shouted at her, he thought she is going to cry and make a scene just like any other baby, so he was ready to console her but she just stood up and left that place. So he as well followed her suit and went to the room. But he could not find her there, so he started searching her.

Then he found her under the bed she was crouching there hugging her knees and crying but without any sound. He also crawled under the bed and went her. When she noticed that someone came near her she immediately wiped her tears and smiled at him. She always had a thought that if didn't smile and cried no one will love her. Just now she was not smiling got angry with doll so her pappa got angry at her and shouted at her. So she didn't want anyone to hate her.

"What are you doing Vivi?" Inir asked slowly. He was confused as to why she was smiling at him now. He thought she might be crying so that he can make her happy. But she was smiling at him like a fool.

She just shook her head. "Play" she said in a very low voice.

Inir was so happy after hearing her baby voice. She actually talked with him and she wants to play with him. He immediately nodded his head like a chicken" let's go. what do you want to play?" he was ready to play anything with her.

She pointed towards the outside door, so he pulled her from under the bed and took her outside. The adults were sitting on the sofa outside and they found it weird that she didn't do anything about her father's outburst and went inside. After some time Inir and Vivi came together outside and didn't notice anyone and went outside the house happily. It seemed as if the scene just didn't happen at all. David also followed the two and went outside. The adults looked at each other and followed them. Inir was asking her something and she pointed towards a direction and he pulled her towards there.

As they all walked, they finally reached a children's park and Vivi pointed towards a swing. She is still a baby so she can't play on the swing alone. So Inir first sat on the swing and pulled her on his lap and started the swing slowly. First Vivi was frightened and held his neck tightly. It is baby park so the park was filled with sand. James went behind them slowly and pushed the swing. Inir noticed his father and stared at him. But he can't do anything, his little leg can't reach the ground so the swing was getting slow. Without a choice he accepted his father's help and stared to swing with Vivi on his lap. Vivi still not used with the swing, was again holding Inir's neck tightly.

After sometime she loosened her hold and started to smile. The kids were playing on the swing happily and forgot everything happened before. Jasmine was so happy at Inir's care towards her daughter. Then Vivi looked at Inir and pointed towards the other things. Slowly they played untill Vivi was fully tired and her eyes were dropping. James slowly took Vivi up and tried take her home. But Vivi held onto Inir's little finger tightly.

Inir also didn't want leave Vivi's hold, but he can't lift her and bring her home, he is also still small. So he slowly released Vivi's hold from his finger and walked along with his father.

When they reached home, Samuel was already waiting outside looking for everyone. Nancy immediately went and told him "Don't worry brother, she is alright. She is already asleep. Go inside". Jasmine was looking down and went straight inside the kitchen to prepare dinner along with Nancy. James had some difficult expression on his face and took Vivi inside. Inir was glaring at Samuel, he is still angry at his uncle for what he did to his Vivi before. He just humphed at him and went inside.

Samuel didn't have anything to say so he went inside, he wanted to take his daughter from James. But James just glared at him and went inside his room and put Vivi on Inir's bed. The young lad was very happy he is going to sleep with little bride today. James was looking at his son, this little guy, he never sleeps with his parents but ready to sleep with his future wife already. He shook his head and went outside to talk to Samuel.

"What really is your problem?"

"I am sorry"

" I am not the one whom you should be sorry for"

"I know. I don't know what happened to myself" He sighed and sat behind his friend. He badly wanted to go inside and look at his daughter and hold her in his arms. But he doesn't know how to face to her again. When she saw his daughter sleeping face, he is afraid of her reactions few months back when she saw Jasmine. He didn't want to become a stranger in his daughter's eyes. But he doesn't know what to do either.

"Did she cry a lot? she must be very sad. I am such bad father. I really didn't want to hurt her. But... but... I don't know" he was really frustrated. He actually was afraid that Vivi's violence might come out and she might hurt Nina. If she did so, he didn't want others to hurt his daughter, scold her or say anything to her. He was so anxious that he was not in his senses during the whole scene so when he noticed that Nina was hurt he reacted immediately and went to Nina and took her for hospital.

He was totally in his own thoughts that Vivi did hurt Nina. So he wanted to cover up for his daughter before anyone else came to her. So he didn't notice that what happened was totally an accident. In his mind he completely believed that Vivi will surely hurt Nina that was why he was on stand by even before anything could happen. But what he did has totally worsen the things in his family.

He went back to his room, laid on his back on the bed and tried to sleep.

Inir was the happiest among all. He went to the dining hall didn't wait for anyone and had his dinner fast fast. He actually didn't want to eat at all. But his mother threatened him that if he didn't eat, she will send Vivi back to her room. So without a choice he had his dinner only a few mouthfuls and went to his room. Brushed his teeth and went straight to his bed. Held Vivi's little hands slept happily with a smile his face.
