15 The sunshine

The next day Vivi went office as usual, but she was too sad to even mingle with others, so she said she is not feeling well and having a headache and retreated from her friends' group and went to her desk and started working. Her team leader also informed everyone that she might homesick as she is going home for a week holiday. So everyone thought that was the reason. None of her friends knows about her family situation so they just thought she is homesick.

Her mobile also was still switched off, she wanted to switch it on and check if Victor has responded anything, but she decided not to at the end, because she felt she might receive a negative response like him saying that it is over between them and he has moved on with another girl. These kind of negative emotions were running through her mind so she is not brave enough to switch on her mobile and check her mail. So her day went by and she again drowns herself into the work to forget about her pains.

This was always her problem. She knows no one needs her in this life for whom she is. That was how she was brought up, as though she was an extra character in their family drama. Nobody needed her, her presence or absence never made any difference. That was how she always felt and grew up.

So Victor was like a ray of sunshine in her life. He always made her feel special. After he came into her life he always made her felt like she was a human at last and not an accessory. But now that sunshine is gone and her life has gone back to its usual darkness. But her sunshine did not even realise how he changed her life from dark to light now again back to darkness.

With these thoughts itself, she boarded her train and started to her home town.
