14 Pre-birthday Gift

Vivi immediately called him, she was as though in a do or die situation. But everything went haywire when she heard a female voice saying Victor went to the restroom and will ask him to call back later. The female voice did not even give her time to talk and immediately disconnected the call. She looked at the phone and stared at the call recording, she has activated call recording for all his calls, so that she can hear his voice when she could not talk to him. She sent the voice note and the picture of him hugging the girl to his mail id saying thanks for the pre-birthday gift and switched off her mobile.

Then she took her friend Sam's phone called her mother saying her mobile fell into the water and broke, that she will come to her house this weekend and spend the next whole week in her hometown. She wanted to go to her mother, she wanted to cry. But being in a hostel surrounded by her friends she can't cry. She can't show her feelings in front of them. That was how she was before she met Victor.

She always hides her feelings either happiness or sadness, even pain she will not show to anyone, because she knows that no one cares, except her mother. So always used to hide everything behind her emotionless face. Victor was the one who brought out her feeling from inside of her. But now he is gone, she knows because he also stopped caring about her. So she wanted to get away from this place.

The next day is Friday. She has to go to the office and after that, she can apply for her leave which is accumulated since she came to B city and go home. She called her team leader to inform him priorly that she will take her off for the next whole week and he accepted without any problem and asked her to rest and recharge her battery and come back.

Her team leader was a man in his 40's more like a father figure to her he and his wife work in the same office. They are a lovely couple, they are her couple goal, which now seems impossible for her.
