29 Moving out..

The next day, everything went back to normal. Kids were running around the house playing. James, Nancy, Samuel and Jasmine were playing cards at the main hall, Nina was crawling around them. Samuel did not even shot a look at Nina, as he saw Vivi's reactions yesterday. He didn't want his daughter to mistake him thinking he was not on her side. Though it was childish he didn't want to take risk on his daughter's emotions.

After lunch, James took time to talk to Samuel and ask him what happened last night. As he observed from his reactions, it was not just Vivi went missing, there is something more to it. So it is better to discuss about it and try to solve the issue.

"What exactly happened last night?" James started the conversation. Vivi and Nina were sleeping. The boys were playing in another room.

"I don't want to talk about it. But one thing is sure I think it's better for Vivi and Nina to be not in the same place. So I think myself and my daughter will move outside" It was clear from his words that he was totally afraid and he is not in his right mind.

" What are you saying, how can say that you want to leave us. Are we all not the same family? I accept I am responsible for Vivi's condition but it is not the best idea to break our family apart. We can talk through this" Jasmine reasoned out.

"Brother, Vivi is still a baby we can teach her that Nina is her little sister and they can be friends together. They can even play together once she grow up. Vivi is a sensible baby, she will adapt herself to having a baby sister" Nancy also voiced her opinion.

"Can you please tell us what really is the problem here. I don't think it is as simple as Vivi is jealous of Nina" James was observing everything from a outsider's view. He has got some ideas but want to be clear about it.

" I am also not sure but.. but.. yesterday when children came to our room, Vivi was standing at the door frame itself and looking at the 4 of us. I don't know what she was thinking but when she was looking at Jasmine and Nina, her face was as if she was in some some also so much of hatred. And she was standing there for more than 2,3 minutes and crying but didn't even make a single sound. I am afraid how many times my baby cried like that without me knowing. She is clearly thinking of Nina as her rival and Jasmine as a stranger. But why she didn't come to me is what I am not understanding."Samuel was breaking down.

"I can see that Vivi is considering Nina as her rival, also she is thinking Nina has robbed her mother from her. May be when she saw you all yesterday, she might have thought you all have become a family together and didn't want her. This is common for the elder child to get jealous of her younger siblings but Vivi is showing these reactions too much. There should have been something happened we all didn't know. I am sure Vivi is not a unreasonable child. Did we miss something in the beginning?" James was somewhat thinking relatively.

"I think I know. When Jasmine and Nina got discharged from the hospital, I always found Vivi near the door of their room most of the time her eyes will be water but there was no sound coming from her. I always thought she is crying because she was hungry as it was near her meal time. But now when I think about it, she seems to have noticed that her mother was taking care of the new baby and though she has abandoned her. Slowly she started to hate Nina I think" Nancy was realising the past events.

"I shouldn't have left my daughter in others hands" Samuel was replied curtly. Though it was an answer to Nancy's words but everyone knows that it was shot at Jasmine. She really didn't have any answer to it. It's was her fault that she didn't take care of her daughter. She didn't even thinking if she had meals at time or not. Too bad that she didn't even notice her daughter who was watching her and waiting for her.

"What should I do now?"

"I will take my daughter and go out of the house. Don't worry I will come and visit the children and pay for the bills on time. I want my daughter to be happy" Samuel replied in a single breath and left that place. Jasmine continued to cry not knowing what to do.

"Don't worry. I will talk some sense into him. I will not let this family break up apart. We will think of something that can make every thing go back to normal. Take care of her" Told Nancy and left them behind.

"Don't worry Jasmine. As a mother I can understand that you don't to lose either of your kids. We are not as heartless as men. Let's see what can be done."Nancy was consoling her.

Jasmine was looking at Nina, she was the one decided to have another baby and she has face results of her decisions. She is determined to do anything to bring her family back to it's previous state. She wiped her eyes and left that place with a resolution.

" Don't you think you are being too biased towards Vivi? David and Nina are also your kids. What about Jasmine. Don't you know how many hardships you both went through before you had your job? Didn't you always mentioned that your wife is your backbone? but now you want to leave them behind for your selfish behaviour?" James was angry at Samuel. He is really not thinking straight.

"Do you think I want to get seperated from them? Do you know what happened fully yesterday night? come I will show you something" he brought James to the room where the sisters were sleeping soundly. One on the bed and other on her sleeping mat on the floor.

" Go and take look at ther left hand thumb" Samuel instructed James and came out of the room without waiting for him.

There was a red point on ther thumb finger, should have happened yesterday.

"She might have got hit somewhere while playing what does that got with you moving out from the house?"

"Yesterday when she came inside the house she was having her cartoon doll her hands when she looked at Nina her eyes were full of hatred and she was pinching the doll's finger with her thumb. When she was trying to control herself from making any sound she was actually hurting herself. Think of it, how can a toddler have this much strength to pierce her own finger just in hate of other baby?" Samuel was already crying, covering his face with his palms. James was shocked to see that there is Violent side to Vivi.

"This might develop into hurting Nina if it was not solved now. She was already throwing things at her baby sister. What will happen if she gets more angry. She is thinking that she has lost her mother to the new baby. She is not even considering Nina as her sister or even a family member. If she anytime notice that I was holding Nina then she will definitely think that no one loves her and she will be dejected. I don't want to think about what will happen if something like that happens. I want all my kids to be happy and free from any hard emotions. She can face these kind of problems after she become an adult but not now. This not a time for her to face dard emotions. She has to be happy, careless and worry free. I am here to take care of her worry about her she can live her life fully tell me what should I do now?"

James was really at loss of words. He didn't think it was this difficult of a situation. Samuel is right it is not good for the sisters to be in the same house now. Anything can happen and no one is to blamed for that. When they were thinking about there was a crashing sound coming from the kids room both the men ran inside to check the babies. But was relieved to see that David and Inir were one made the sound. Vivi was still sleeping but Nina already woke up and was crawling towards the door.

Samuel instinctively went and took the baby from the floor and went outside and gave her to Jasmine and came back to the room. He was sighing i. relief Vivi just woke up, goodness she didn't notice when he took Nina from the floor.

He smilingly went his daughter kissed on her forehead and cradled in his arms as she hugged his neck slowly waking up. She was full of smiles looking around to see all her favourite people.
