40 College

The days went by. Soon Vivi was about to join her college. Due to her school marks and entrance score she got a best university in the capital. She also wanted to leave her hometown and go to the capital for her studies. More than anything she wanted leave her house and go away from the clutches of his family. But Samuel rejected her request without even any discussion. How can he leave his little baby to go alone to the capital? She is still a baby. A naive young girl. It is easy for anyone to cheat her or use her their own selfish mean. He didn't want that to happen.

But Vivi was more than angry. That was one of the best colleges in the country. She even got full scholarship for her four years of college. She badly wanted to leave her house and be independent. Samuel was full of pride at the same time was fully hurt watching how his daughter wanted to leave her family and go alone on her own. Since childhood she wanted to stay away from her family members, why can't she understand that her family loves her more anything or anyone in the world. When she will understand everyone around her?

Vivi was on hunger strike for 2 days and then she fell unconscious in her room. So she was taken to hospital and Samuel was ready to give into her wishes, but it was time for David to step in to as a elder brother. After coming home she went straight to her room. He asked other family members to stay out and went inside to talk to her.

Inside Vivi's Room.

"What are you trying Vivi?"

Silence

"Can't you see, you are hurting our parents?"

Silence again

"What actually is your problem? Do you even know why you want to leave our home?"

"I want to be independent. I want to be on my own" now she replied in a small voice.

"Are you ready for it? "

"I will get used to it"

"Are you sure want to be alone?"

"I want to be alone"

"Why?"

Silence

"Okay let us come to a deal"

"What?"

"Do your degree in our town. You can do it in the best university available. No one from our house will interfere in your studies. Then after your graduation I will talk to our parents then for your masters you can go where ever you want" but within our reach he kept the last few words to himself.

"Why?" it was now her turn question.

"You are still a kid. You have understand, even if you think that we are not concerned about you, we care about you and love you. Your safety is most important to us. But after your graduation you will understand what we mean now"

She didn't say anything

"Vivi, there are so many things I want to explain to you. But you are still a baby for us, you will not understand how your actions are affecting our family especially our father. You are his ..." He stopped midway. David was fully in a rage but was controlling himself just to talk some sense into her. More than explaining everything making her stay here now is the important thing now. Even if he explains she is too adamant to understand.

Vivi was looking at him with expectation what he was trying to say. Till now she don't understand why everyone in her family is out-casting her. Why no one wants her in this family but not letting her go also. It's very clear that they are not including her in anything. None of her birthdays were as special as Nina's, Never her father showered any love for her. If they hate her so much why can't they just let her leave this house. But David was facing door so he did not see her expressions. After calming himself down he said without even even turning back

"Okay, so are you okay with this? At least our parents will not feel bad to leave their baby daughter in the capital city alone yet"

"Okay but after my graduation I will leave"

He turned and saw how determined she was, he really got so angry so he left the room and shut the room door on her face.

"She will join the S university in our city. She will choose whatever the course she wants and all her needs will be fulfilled. We will not interfere anything related to her studies" He talked through gritted teeth to his mother and casted a pity look on his father and left the house.

Samuel was at ease to know that his baby is going to stay with him and leaving the house. No need to worry about her studies, she is more than capable to take care of it.
