42 42. The First Day..

Vivi was getting excited to go the college, even though it was not the one she was hoping to go to. This was actually her first choice if not for the location. But she will get her long awaited freedom in next four years. On the first day of college again everyone from her house went to drop her. Her brother was driving the car, her father and mother were sitting on her both sides. Her sister was sitting on the front passenger seat. She can feel the excited vibe from all of her family members. Though she was feeling doubtful, she felt happy to have them with her. She was feeling as if she is also one of them. She knew her parents sent her away to her father's village because Nina was born just few months after her and they did not want her to be a danger towards her sister. Only if she knew the truth.

When she was dropped off at the college entrance, everyone wanted to get inside and see her class rooms and Samuel wanted to see how many boys will be there in her class and to give them a warning to stay away from his baby. But the college rules were that only one parent can be allowed that is also if required. So Vivi said she can take care from there. All of a sudden Samuel pulled her for a hug and held his baby daughter in his arms for few good seconds and left without looking back.

Vivi didn't know what happened but she felt full warmth and sense of familiar security from her father's hug. She wanted to ask what is it for and to hold her for some more time but her father immediately turned his back and went into the car. She did not know what to say either so she just said farewell to her mother, brother and sister and went inside. Feeling more happy and satisfied. That was something new from her father, since she knew her father was always reserved and never gave her even a second glance. He never even cared to question her or scold her. He was always ready to send her away so he will accept and grant everything she asks for.

Samuel on the other side was feeling very proud of his daughter at the same time sad to even communicate properly with her. Jasmine and the kids who was watching this father - daughter duo was grinning and shaking their heads with this drama. After boarding the car, Jasmine first broke the silence.

"Why don't you talk to her. You understand that you both never talked properly with each other for years right? I think all it needs is a push and you both can be back how you were at the starting." Jasmine just explained her point.

"I know. But whenever I want to go and talk to her, I always remember how I hurt her and how she got afraid of me, and how I made my own daughter keep distance from me. I feel guilty Jasmine. I don't know where to start or how she might feel"

"I don't know why you feel guilty dad, you never denied anything if she wants and not for us. You should be feeling guilty for us not for her" David joked in between to clear the air.

"But I never broke your trust" Samuel answered seriously. That was the reason for his guilty feeling. Vivi trusted only him and Inir in her whole life and no one else. But he broke her trust and hurt her first. Then they separated the kids by breaking them apart. Jasmine also become silent after his words. Because she also knew this. Vivi stopped trusting everyone since Samuel shouted at her. She was not doing it for revenge or anything but she does that unconsciously. Even though she seems to be close to her mother, she was actually not being close or anything. She is just more expressive towards her mother than anyone in their family. But she had her own plans, thoughts, feelings and her own little worlds. Which she never let anyone after Inir, whom she doesn't even remember anymore.

"I just hope she gets more friends in her new college. At least after getting friends and making some bad decisions and doing mistakes I might get a chance to at least scold her" Samuel was actually the best and worst father to expect his baby girl to make a mistake in her college life. That was because, she never made a mistake for them to even advice her and in a way to have a conversation with her. Say it in studies, sports or anything she does, she will perfect them. She never even talk to boys, even to her brother's friends to tell her that boys are bad for her age. it's more like she was the elder in their family.

"I don't know what will you do if she brings a boy friend from college. Now I feel bad for Inir" Nina successfully diverted the topic.

"Oh yeah, where is Inir today. I did not see him near the entrance" Samuel also replied.

"He was already inside the college father. One of his college junior is getting something from the admin office today. He has got his reasons" David replied with grin.

"I guess it's good time for Inir to meet Vivi. What do you say. I trust our Vivi more than anything but not her age or the boys in the college" Jasmine replied urgently. She got some bad feeling since they dropped Vivi at the college.

"I told him already mom. But your favorite son in law wants his bride to enjoy her single life as much as she can before meeting him. It's their life mom, let them decide" David also suggested Inir so many time. Especially because of the promise he made to Vivi. He thought if Vivi and Inir were to start a relationship, Vivi will no more have any reasons to move to another city. But his best friend is not at all in any urgency, that's all because they both were always having their eyes on her. Even now Inir is inside the university because he wants to check on Vivi's university her classmates, potential threats and if possible some spies. His best friend aka bro in law is very cunning, calculative when it comes to his bride. And he is very satisfied with him.

In the mean time Inir was inside the college. Watching Vivi coming inside the college with full energy and new brightness which he missed since she came back from the village these many years. He knew it was because of the hug from her father. He also hoped that those two will talk to each other and clear their miss understanding, so that he can see his little bride's bright face everyday.
