5 Chapter Five

They walked away hand in hand, aware of how proud his mother looked and how relieved his father looked. If they only knew it was all a front. If they only knew that she was an exotic dancer and that it was all a game of money. Nothing more, if they only knew that behind her radiant smiles and joy filled laughs that there was someone in there that secretly wished that this was so much more.

Tyron was living a life she craved, and it had nothing to do with money. No, what she craved had more to do with a support system and love. She wanted her parents and a bunch of siblings. Yes, she had a best sister friend and a grandma. Being around his enormous family made her want more. They were all welcoming her to have what she craved; it hurt to know that it wouldn't last.

Savvy looked up at Ty and felt her knees almost give. He was looking at her strangely, as if he could read her like a book. He had such dreamy eyes. Why, she thought, looking away, did he have to be so fine? His eyes seemed to see right through her, to her soul. So penetrating. He made her feel naked.

She looked at their linked hands, and back at the family, figuring they were far away enough. She let go and felt herself returning. This was just an arrangement, nothing more. She needed to remember that, and that meant knowing when to turn off the show. Even if she liked her hand being engulfed in his, she was smart enough to know not to feed off into it o much.

"Your family is really nice. You all seem very close. It's nice to see people like that." She said, breaking the awkward silence.

"Yeah, their great. They all seem to like you. My mama always wanted another doctor in the family." Tyron said.

"Oh," Savvy said, looking at the very interesting grass. "It's going to suck when we break up. They are all so happy."

"When this is over, you can always keep in touch. Mom likes you and that's saying something. Not everyone gets welcomed like you." Tyron suggested.

"Or," Savvy said grinning, "she's just tired of you being a player and she's ready for you to have some babies."

"That might be part of it." Tyron admitted. "So, will you keep in touch?"

Savvy shook her head. "No, I think it would be better to just stay away. I'm thinking of relocating anyway and starting fresh. We should use that as the reason we break up."

"Yeah, but that's not for a while," he said.

"They don't know that. I start my clinical real soon so...." Savvy trailed off letting him imagine her next words.

Tyron hummed and turned her attention to the large structure they were approaching. "Well, here are the stables," Tyron said, motioning towards a large barn-like structure. It resembles a pavilion. Tyron smiled, as he at her look of excitement "They just got a new light horse stallion a couple of weeks ago. Everyone's still trying to break him in. He's a ruff one, always angry."

They walked inside and she was really surprised at how many horses were in there. There were stallions and a few fillies, from what she could tell. All different colors and sizes, and for a moment she was thrown in the pass to when she used to go riding with her father. Her dad loved horsed, her mom not so much. Her mom would still go with them just to watch him teach her. They didn't have their own horses, but her dad had friends who did, and he had an all-access pass.

"They are gorgeous. I really miss being around horses. I never even think of them much anymore, funny how you dont know how much you miss something until you 're face to face with it." Savvy said dreamily. She inhales the smell of sweet feed, reminding her of childhood and molasses cookies. She walked to each stall, running her fingers over each horse as she walked. Low key, she was in her happy place.

"Well, take your pick and you can ride as much as you like." Tyron whispered.

Savvy paused in her mindless walk. He sounded like he was right behind her. She spun and came face to with his white tee shirt. He was indeed right on her ass. She backed up and took a breath, looking anywhere but at him. She was suddenly super aware that they were alone. Why was he suddenly so close?

Tyron matched each step she took backwards, advancing towards her in slow steps. Feeling the need to flee, she continued her backwards steps as if she knew the place. She didn't, though. This was his playground. When her back pressed against what could only be a stall, she was forced to face this craziness. There was no escape. Looking up into his, she asked the only question that kept ringing in her head. "What?" She asked. It was meant to be a powerful question, but it came out in with a sigh. That pissed her off.

Tyron slid into her personal space as if he belonged there. He hovered, above her so close, and yet at no point did they touch. Savvy wanted to lean into him. She hated that. "You probably want to walk behind me," he said lowly, his minty breath fanning her face. "Or beside me, but walking in front of me like that,it won't work for me."

"Why," she asked?

"Because walking behind you, watching your ass sway from side to side," Tyron licked his lips, before biting down on the bottom one. "It makes me want to get close, close enough for you to feel what you do to me. Your ass looks delicious in those jeans."

"What do I do to you," she asked? Savvy was feeling daring right now and dammit, she just wanted to know. Was he really attracted to her? Or was she on the menu because of their current situation? For all she knew, any woman in nice jeans, with a fat ass could turn him on.

Tyron said nothing. Instead, he placed one hand beside her head and pressed his hips against hers. It was a slight touch and yet she felt him, hard as a rock. Savvy moaned and closed her eyes. It had been a long time since she had felt so turned on. She couldn't resist moving against him as well.

He slid both hands down her back to her hips to grip the current object of his obsession. They were chest to chest, and she was engulfed in his energy. "Are you ready for that, Savannah, because we can make it happen? Anytime, any place."

With a sigh, Savvy shook her head. Tyron immediately stepped back. She wasn't ready, not for real. She appreciated him giving her fifty feet. He leaned casually against a nearby pole, looking at her, look at him. He still looked like a steak dinner to her, so she looked away first, her eyes falling on an all black horse over his shoulder.

When she was nervous or embarrassed, she always got to asking questions. Usually it was random, dumb questions. So she asked the first question that popped into her head. "Is that one tamed?"

Tyron looked over his shoulder and smiled. "Actually, that's my horse," he said. "She's very well trained and yes, you can ride her. Her name is Beauty."

"Like Black Beauty?" Savvy asked laughing, feeling the tension from moments ago leaving.

"That was a good show." He said, shrugging his big shoulders, looking boyish. Savvy shook her head and continued to laugh.

Tyron stopped laughing first. He came towards her again, and the tension returned like a reignited flame. "Remember what I said," he said softly, "anytime, any place, but for now lets ride. Come on..." he said, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards the black stallion.

She watched as he got two horses ready and soon they were off on their started ride. They rode in silence and had been riding for a while when Savvy stopped to look at the sunset. It really was a beautiful day and as much as she hated to admit it, she had fun today. Not the party type of fun she usually had. No, this was another level of fun. It was refreshing and new, which only added to the appeal. It kind of bugged her that Tyron wasn't a complete a complete jerk.

"What's up, are you tired already?" Tyron asked, stopping beside her.

"No way," she said smirking, "Just can't let a sunset like that go to waste."

Tyron looked out over the horizon and had to agree. It had been a while since he noticed something so insignificant. He looked back at Savvy, who was leaning forward on the horse, all of her attention on the beautiful colors swirling around them. She really was a beautiful woman and for a stripper, she had a wonderful personality. Half the time when they were together, he forgot what they were doing. Most of the time, he just wanted to know more about her. Majority of the time he wanted to fuck her until she couldn't move.

"You know, you're nothing like what I expected." He said, honestly. She was far more interesting.

She turned to him slowly. "Oh yeah, what did you expect from some ill-mannered hooker hoe?"

"I didn't mean it like that savvy," he said, coming towards her. He could tell by the tone of her voice she was used to being judged. He didn't know why exactly, but it was important that she didn't toss him in with other people who judged her.

"You don't have to explain. I know how the world looks at me. Most people act like I'm a prostitute or around the way, girl." She said, looking anywhere but at him. "The women I work with are genuine women willing to do what they have to do to make it in this fucked up place called a world. They are mothers and daughters and sisters, and most of them are working towards bettering themselves. Many of them, if you saw them outside that place you wouldn't even know, because in the actual world, they have homes and family and bills. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouth, sir. They will one day be your ER nurse or your doctor. What I'm saying is we are not all bad people."

Damn, he had fucked up again; he thought. She seemed to revert to calling him sir when she was pissed, and so she was. He did not know how to fix it. "Really Savvy, I don't look down on the profession." he lied. "I think it takes a lot of guts to do what you were doing." That was partially true, at least.

"Don't lie to me, it really isn't necessary." She started trotting her horse away from his, back towards the stable. "Isn't that why you wanted me to do this? A woman with a less than admiral reputation." She laughed bitterly and her trot turned into a full gallop back to where they had started.

As much as he hated to admit it, she was right; he looked down on strippers. It was just that every stripper he had come into contact with had always tried to get in his pants. They were easy targets if you just wanted to get laid. It was nothing personal to him until now. Realistically, he knew now that they weren't all like that. She had showed him that. Despite the agreement, he liked her... for her.

When he made it to the stables, Beauty was back in her stall and Savvy was feeding her an apple. "You like me, don't you," she was softly cooed to the horse. "That's the beauty of you guys. You see people as just people, whether they are dirty or clean, cute or ugly. You see their heart. I wish I could marry a horse, I'd totally marry you." She laughed a little when Beauty nuzzled her hand. "You guys are so faithful and trusting, not like mean old men, they suck and Mr. Sir can suck eggs and kick rocks."

"I've done both," he said, startling her. "neither is much fun."

Savvy waited for him to put the horse he had ridden away and then folded her arms across her chest. "Can we just go, please? I'm exhausted."

"What if I said no?" he teased.

Her eyes flashed with anger and he loved it, "Then I would leave, anyway."

"How would you get home," he asked. "You don't even know where you are?"

"Oh, I'd find a way." She stormed past him, pulling out her phone, and she let out a small scream when she realized there was no service here.

Her anger only egged him on. He needed to apologize. Apologizing never came easily to him, being an asshole he could do. As he grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his chest, he felt like an extra large asshole. This was him apologizing. She really was a little old bitty thing, this close to him. She was so close that he could feel her heart beating through her chest. His own was speeding up to match hers. This was differed from earlier, but it felt the same. She was angry, and he was hungry.

"But, honey. What would the folks think?" he asked softly.

"Who cares, since you don't I surely don't." Savvy said between clenched teeth.

Tyron just smiled. She really was a feisty lady. She seemed frustrated to him He pulled her closer and settled his hands on her hips as he backed her up against the nearest stall. He could tell by her eyes that alarm bells were going off loudly in that little head of hers, and if she was alarmed, she had every right to be. He wanted to devour her right here.

"What are you doing?" she yelled as she tried to move away.

It was a little too late for that, though he was a man on a mission. Kissing her felt like it was the best idea he had ever had, "Kissing you."

And then he did, hard. He crushed his mouth to hers while wrapping one arm around her waist and the other around her hips. She struggled a little and even opened her mouth, probably to curse him out, but he took that as an opportunity and dove inside. She immediately stilled, first stiffening up and then giving up with a sigh as she became soft as cotton candy.

He tasted like the peach cobbler they had recently eaten for dessert, and it affected her like a dose of drugs. Her head started swimming as the kiss became soft and skilled. It was a seduction kiss and as much as she was fighting it; she was losing badly. Her hands fisted at her sides, and her toes curled. She felt hot all over and tingly. Oh god, she thought, he just had to be a great kisser, too. When his tongue touched the top of her mouth, she couldn't hold back the moan that escaped her throat or stop her hands from going around his neck. Her body seemed to have come to life all on its own.

Her body curved into his, wanting to get closer, needing to feel him against her. Savvy knew she was a goner. and ... that she had never, in her whole three relationships and all the dates she had been on, been kissed correctly. This was truly her first kiss, knee jerking, and toe curling kiss. And from a man who didn't even want her. Suddenly feeling sad, she dropped her arm and pulled away.

"Damn, woman," Ty said, stepping back unwillingly. He was just as shocked. Tyron had only been planning on playing with her a little, maybe getting her to calm down. He didn't plan on setting the stable on fire.

"Can we please leave?" She said, looking down at her feet.

"Savvy, I'm so sorry," he whispered. There he did it.

She looked at him in disbelief before ducking under his arm and walking towards the doorway shaking her head mumbling about him; he was sure. "About what I said earlier, not that kiss, it was hot as hell." He said, smiling.

"Well, just don't try that again okay, keep your filthy paws to yourself." She spat.

Ty snorted. "Don't act like you didn't like it, babe. I could have you naked in here if I had wanted to."

"Whatever! You got the right one today. So you can kiss! Whoopee." She spat.

"Oh please, you're acting like that kiss wasn't fucking awesome. You can moan about it now all you want, it won't change the fact that you liked it."

"Just take me home." Savvy said back to him. It was clear she had nothing else to say, and she didn't want to discuss the chemistry they obviously had. He would let it go now, since he needed her to play nice with his family while they said goodbye. What she didn't know was that when he wanted something he got it, and after that kiss he knew he wanted Savvy.
