The Diagnosis
The doctor wanted to know Diane's relationship with Phillip before they got married to get to the root of her psychological problem. She aimed to be able to point out the exact problem at the end of their section.
Diane had no problems with that so she went ahead to reveal that her marriage to her husband was arranged by their parents plus other information,
After listening for a while, the doctor asked, "Can you tell me that one thing you are still hiding? What does your mind usually tell you when your husband wants to have sex with you? What are you always thinking about?"
When Diane was asked these questions, it took only a moment for tears to well up in her eyes and the next second, she broke down in tears before the doctor. She covered her face with her palms and bent her waist.
"It's not my fault. I tried to love him, but I just couldn't. I thought that I could just do my duties as his wife but it didn't work."
