Man of the Hour

Diane has finally diagnosed Christian with schizophrenia after he demanded that she wear a thong underneath the dress he got for her for his inauguration ceremony as CEO of Heirs Hotels.

She didn't care if he was giving an order being her Master according to their secret agreement, she was pissed, especially after opening her closet and seeing a red thong set amongst her inner wears.

Even though that was the best undies to put on in that kind of outfit, she didn't feel like wearing it anymore since he asked.

Diane didn't trust whatever plans Christian had in his head as she suddenly felt afraid of being alone with him, so she extended the invitation to Tricia who happily complied despite the short notice.

"I won't ask how you managed to snag yourself this invitation byt hell yes! I won't ever miss an invitation that would put me in the same room as the hot shot. Maybe I should try my luck!"

With how vibrant and excited her friend was over the phone, Diane couldn't bear ruining it for her and only urged her to prepare her outfit after dropping off their meeting location for the following evening.

Diane was not afraid of Tricia joining her in the ride Christian would send to her since the other knew she came from a rich family and would automatically think they made the arrangement.

~Sunday~

Diane stood in front of the wall mirror staring at herself after the makeup artist and hairstylist were done with their job.

A light makeup with hot red lipstick that outlined her small lips, an updo for a hairstyle and a hot dress that was hard not to take a second glance at.

Diane stood in the mirror taking in her elegant sexy look for the night and reached out to adjust her diamond studded earrings which she got from her mother on her last birthday; probably the last she would ever receive from her.

A deep sigh escaped from Diane's lips as she took one last look before venturing out of her bedroom.

The ride Christian sent had arrived exactly two minutes ago. She didn't want to be late since he kept emphasizing on that for two days straight.

Riding in a Rolls Royce with modern music and a bottle of chilled champagne was not how Diane planned to start her evening.

The whole arrangement was over the top, but she couldn't say 'no' to it. She didn't know what the rest of the night held for her, so she would appreciatively soak in the splendid moment.

Tricia kept admiring the half-a-million-dollar ride with a glass of champagne in her hand.

"Girl, you are as rich as fuck!" Tricia praised as she dragged her gaze through every interior piece as George who was in the front passenger seat grimaced at her choice of words.

There were no similarities between Diane who had a gentle demeanour and her very good friend with the wild personality whom she chose to bring to the party.

Gerald glanced at the women from the rear-view mirror and wondered what kind of woman Tricia was exactly.

Unaware of the man's perception of her, Tricia continued with her rants. "Girl, you've got to remind me to keep respecting you any time I attempt to step out of line."

Diane shook her head and moved her gaze elsewhere. Speaking with Tricia was exhausting, so she quickly found a way to keep her occupied until they arrived at the main branch of Heirs Hotel in LA.

Diane and Ticia had a smooth experience getting past the security checkpoint thanks to George's presence and one thing Tricia couldn't stop doing was keep her phone away.

Every moment was important to her and she kept on taking photos and recording videos until her phone storage got filled up.

Arriving inside the hall for the main event, someone ushered them to their seats as the ceremony would be starting in around five minutes.

Diane's gaze strained further to see if she could catch Christian's profile in the VIP seats in the front row, but there was no sight of him.

"I will bury my face in my pillow for a week if I don't at least get five contacts at the end of today's party. I suddenly have the urge to get married this year," Tricia whispered to Diane's ears just before a man in a black suit climbed the stage to announce the presence of Robert Heirs.

Diane did not get the opportunity to reply as every guest in the hall stood their feet with a clapping ovation to welcome Robert Heirs with his daughter, Ashley walking beside him and a host of other entourage behind them.

"Wow!" There was a visible admiration in Tricia's eyes as her gaze rested on Ashley Heirs who was a young woman like her.

She was happy to see and know how much the other woman has achieved so far even though she had a good foundation plus the privilege of a rich man's daughter.

While clapping her hands she said in a low tone that only Diane could hear, "I wish I could exchange lives with Ashley. Her life looks so complete even with her still being single."

"You never know what happens behind the scenes," Diane mentioned carefully.

Look at her, she was a living example of what goes on in most wealthy families. She could understand that it was normal for everyone outside their circle to think they all had it put together, not knowing that no family was perfect.

Still, it was better to have money and a few challenges than not to have money at all and be going through any kind of challenges.

After welcoming the Robert family, Christian Knowles; the man of the hour was announced and he walked in in a Tom Ford Super 120's Plain Weave Shelton Black evening suit with his dark brown hair slicked to the side.

Christian was looking more handsome tonight. According to Tricia, the correct tag was 'insanely hot' with the world's sexiest eyes.

"If Christian asks me to die right now, I would!" she confessed with a wild grin as her gaze followed him to his seat in the front row.
